The tortieshell tried to warm up her brother.
Her brother really needed to keep warmer.

Poppyshine blinked as her mother brought in three mewling kits. Then another one. " Acornpelt! I can't, I really can't..." she looked down at the first three, who were obviously siblings. " Lilackit, and...Poppykit." Something about the little she-cat reminded her of herself. She reached out a hind leg and pulled them in. The third one was dead. She shook her head sadly. Another kit wriggled out of Acornpelt's mouth and plopped down on top of Hummingbirdkit and Stormkit, the latter of which squeaked loudly. She nosed the newcomer off of her kits and nestled him between Hummingbird and Heartkit. " Snowkit," she chuckled.
