minkpaw hung her head, staring at the ground in shame, "but- theyre barely more than a kit!" her stomach turned at the thought that it wouldve been right to let a defenceless kit die. what if she were exiled for this- she couldnt fend for herself, how- how was she supposed to survive- she had just tried to help- wasnt it right to help-

The warrior closed her eyes for a moment. How would she tell the two cats that Weaseltooth had been killed by Zephyr?

Tail tip twitching, Shellwhisker dug her claws into the soft ground beneath her. High Ranks. Sticking their noses in every cat´s business.
´´I´m letting them know that their kin is dead, and I am escorting them off the border.´´ The warrior jerked her head at Soulkit and Snowflakekit, a signal for them to get across the border and run as fast as they possibly can and as far as they can possibly go.
´´It´s not their fault they want to check up on their sibling,´´ The RiverClanner snarled, her eyes narrowing down to slits. ´´Last time I checked, they were exiled because of their heritage, Birdsnow, and they had been exiled as kits, and that´s against the warrior code. If it even applies to High Ranks, these days, that is,´´ The golden-brown and white she-cat added with a snarl.
She turned to the two younger cats standing beside her. ´´Get outta here before you´re killed.´´
Turning back to Birdsnow, Shellwhisker stood her ground. ´´There is no reason to exile a cat for telling another what has happened to their kin. I wasn´t giving away any information.´´
The golden-brown and white molly began to lash her tail with agitation. Her patience was wearing thin, and now Birdsnow was standing on thin ice with Shellwhisker.
´´As I said,´´ Shellwhisker meowed through gritted teeth, forcing her fur to lay flat. It was clear that the warrior was desperately trying to keep her temper. ´´I will protect them, no matter the cost. Go ahead and exile me, Birdsnow, but know that if you do, you cost yourself a valuable warrior.´´
If Birdsnow exiled her, Shellwhisker would go straight to one of the other Clans, besides ThunderClan, of course.

Briefly caught off guard, Birdsnow looked behind her and then around her as if Springpaw would suddenly spawn behind her. ”Why the hell do you bing Springpaw into this?” She snapped, voice brittle and razor sharp. ”Those cat exiled themselves, Shellwhisker, not their goddamn heritage or whatever. They lost the right to knowing what happens in RIverClan the moment they chose to abandon it. And also? The warrior code don’t say a thing about exiling kits, and neither me or Larkstar made the decision. They exiled themselves.”
A dangerous, warning growl rumbled in Bird’s throat as Shellwhisker showed a very gutsy sign of aggression. Acting like a martyr. Acting like she was the victim. ”You’ve continuously threatened Springpaw for doing her job and you’ve constantly disobeyed my orders.” Her eyes flicked down and she noticed Shell’s claws curdled deep into the ground, and a taunting, deadly smile bloomed on her face.
”Wanna use those claws? Unless you want your throat torn out I suggest you keep those in.” Her catbrows raised as Shellwhisker basically…. Announced that she cared more about two outsiders than her Clan. And then dared to act like she was more valuable to Birdsnow than a rotten fish on the fresh kill pile.
”Valuable my ass. You’ve done nothing but cause problems lately, so I’m happy to take you up on the offer. Get out of the territory and never return or die. I won’t say it twice. And take those two with you, I’m sure you three will be very happy together.”

Shellwhisker´s eyes blazed. Birdsnow was acting like a fool.
´´The only cat who has been causing trouble within RiverClan has been Springpaw,´´ She snarled. ´´Getting cats like Goldfish punished for Springpaw verbally attacking her.´´
Lashing her tail, Shellwhisker stepped over the border. ´´I have done nothing to deserve this, Birdsnow, and I´ll make sure that you regret your decision.´´
That was a true statement, because Dawnstar and ShadowClan was where Shellwhisker was heading to after she left RiverClan.
Turning around, Shellwhisker stormed off towards the direction of the outskirts, but would later turn direction and turn towards ShadowClan. Hopefully Dawnstar would let her in.

Eaglecall seemed to almost materialize behind the group. "Birdsnow, i need your opinion on something- bad time? I'll just go." Eaglecall slowly backed off. Although his tail was up and curled, he was clearly confused. "Wait-wait-wait, is Shellwhisker being exiled? Because if she is then I'm gonna have to ask you to exile yourself too. Or better yet, stop being so mean to the others! Treestripe told me what you did."
