Wormkit yawned and stretched in the nursery before making it's way out into the clearing. It looked around in awe, despite seeing the view several times before he always found someone or something interesting to play with.
QUILLPAW
he/him. 7 moons. dark grey tom; tabby markings; light grey markings, amber and blue eyes. [ mind reader ]
just as quillpaw's eyes flutter shut – he'd just wanted to enjoy a small breeze that blew by – he's bonked. in all honesty, the bonk itself barely hurt. it only leaves a minor throbbing sort of pain that lasts a few seconds. but his anger is different, and it's immediately directed towards the culprit of said bonk: dizzycloud. a warrior stumbling around like some kit that was half asleep.
"do you have dung for brains?" he scowls, rising to his paws. "maybe you should go to the nursery if you're going to stumble around like some newborn kit." he suggests bitterly, nose scrunching in disgust.
What the hell? Dizzycloud had just been walking by, accidently bonked into someone, and then she gets scowled at for a simple mistake? And then worse they say a sentence at her? THIS WAS OUTRAGEOUS. Well, not horrible, but whhyyy? If it had been a 'aren't you going to say sorry' she could have understood but she just bumped into someone.
"You. Wait I forgot what I was going to say. You are half my age, and you felt the need to insult me for a simple mistake. So yeah, I can escort you to the nursery if you want." Oh, and now her socializing battery died. She sure hoped this cat wasn't too persistent! Oh, and just to make it quicker. "Sorry, though, wasn't looking where I was stepping."

the new camp still made him uncomfortable, it was..off. he was tired, he didnt like being tired. and he was confined to the camp unless given specific permission to leave which was..less than ideal. the camp felt confining. not necesarrily in the bad way, he was glad kits and young apprentices were shielded from the elements and prying eyes alike, but in combination with the order to stay in camp he felt like he was slowly but surely losing his mind. almost out of habit, bi coloured eyes scanned the cats lounging in camp for mud, mood lightening a bit when he finally layed eyes on her unique fur, and he wondered how he had even missed her in the first place. restless paws carried the tom over to his best friend, briefly pressing the side of his face against her shoulder before taking his place besides her.

Mudskipper
She, Her\Warrior\14 moons\Shadowclan
"I miss the yellow. I miss the yellin' and the shake downs."
· · ─────── ·· ─────── ·
Shadowclan. Her home, right? Certainly. It was way more of a home than any place she lived in. Not that the bar was that high anyways. The oddly tall she-cat lay in the warriors den, watching the birds stir in the trees. How pretty, small, and fragile. She could snap their necks so easily if she wanted to. But she wouldn't. Staying here was much more to her comfort. That was, untill she saw Roachflare. He seemed unsure of himself.
Brown paws pushed the she-cat up from her mossbed to walk towards her friend. He obviously needed some support, some reassurance. While Mudskipper wasn't the best at pep talks or motivational speeches, she would try. Only for him though.
It was kind of weird how the little guy had been able to wiggle underneath her fur and settle himself into her skin. Mudskipper hadn't invited him, but he didn't need an invitation. She hadn't meant to make any friends, it's not like she needed them anyways. And yet, here she was. Walking towards him and actually caring.
The new camp was probably making him antsy, she knew him enough to know that. Honestly? Same. She wasn't having a good time adjusting. Everything was so weird. All the cats and snarky remarks were still there, but the place wasn't. It made alarms go off in her head. Leaving leaving, everyone leaves. Moving, dying, crying, hiding. Mudskipper bit down on her tongue. She wished she could turn her brain off, wished her thoughts could be just as quiet as her.
"Hi, Bug." She announced her arrival with a quiet voice. Regardless of volume, she actually sounded quite cheery, an unusual for her. "Okay?" She sat down next to him, turning around quickly to snap her jaws at a firefly that buzzed past. Cursed creatures. She then turned back to him, a concerned look lining her face.

Just then Wildkit walked into the warrior's den. " Mudskipper, do you think I'll ever be a warrior like you i mean I'm an outsider who just joined Shadowclan do you think I'm strong enough to at least be an apprentice?" Widkit sighed waiting for an answer.

to this day he wondered why mudskipper actually wanted him around, he leaned in, shoulder bumping into muds. "hey" roach replied, the corners of his mouth quirking into a smile. the stress had taken most vocalisation he had had the last few days and he really didnt like feeling so somber, so when he felt some off the pressure lifted off his shoulders he made an active effort in the other direction. "okay." roach mumbled, swallowing a wave of anxiety at the small though still personal question. "the new apprentice..do you know anything about them?" he enquired, head tilted to the side and slightly up to look at his friend, his mind told him to cut the sentence short, swallow a world or two but he also felt stupid stressing over the fact that he had said 'do you' instead of just you. "asked me for training" it had been a while since they actually had, but roachflare hadnt had the opportunity to ask mudskipper for information yet. between all the stress from moving, there had been more important things. "looks pretty old" hopefully 'new apprentice' and 'old' were enough information for mud to identify the cat he was talking about. if not, he was almost sure he could explain their appearance well enough so mud would recognise them in the future..
his mind wandered as bi coloured eyes drifted over the other cats in the clearing, when they were finally free to leave camp again he'd have to ask mud to do a bit of personal training to keep their senses sharp, or just some good sparring perhaps.
