Willowpaw looked at Starrypaw. "Well...... it can be. I was a very cheery apprentice and sense I'm smaller than most I was taken care of more even though I hated it. But with you I think you'll have equal treatment, but yes it is a bit hard especially at first. But it kinda turns into routine."
Starrypaw thought. "So no one care if I was a kittypet, became a loner, then joined the clan? and that i don't fit in at all, and that i hate water?"

Willowtail looked at Starrypaw. "Were Riverclan not savages." Willowtail teased gently, "Your gonna get teased cuz cats our age are tough on you. But ignore them. There just jealous your better than them."Willowtail purred encourgingly. Laying beside the apprentice, Willowtail gave a gentle flick of her abnormally long tail, "I got teased through my apprentice days for being so lanky and having short fur. It's cuz I'm half Windclan."

Huh, Splashleap had expected to be immediately attacked by a poor imitation of the move she had demonstrated. That was normally how things went with kits, show them a trick and they did it poorly right back at you instantly, probably with their claws out because they could get away with it. But Salamanderkit seemed to be considering her words instead, and Splashleap enjoyed the moment free of assault.
The question was something of a surprising one, so the warrior had to think a bit before answering. Couldn't be spreading false information, now could she? You might at first, but eventually it's muscle memory. Like it's instinct to dodge, and you learn to watch for sneakier attacks without having to think about it actively. But if you're trying to do a fancy attacking move yes, you will have to think. That was why Splashleap stuck to a few favorites, somewhat tailored to her small size and relative speed. Quick darts and feints, always trying to avoid getting crushed.
Salamanderkit's suggestion to avoid thinking was......more along the lines of what she expected from a kit. That could work, if you grow big. she mewed, although privately she didn't think a future as a massive warrior was likely. It's good to learn how to think a little bit just in case though. In case you ended up tiny like her, more like. And then, predictably, Salamanderkit started hitting her.
The paw in her whiskers wasn't particularly painful, but Splashleap did have to cross her eyes something fierce to track it's movement. She was having so much fun with her distorted vision that she didn't notice the paw headed for her leg until it was too late. No great damage was done, nor was any effort made to move the target, but she gave a somewhat excessive Ouch! before smiling at Salamanderkit. There you go, that's the kind of thinking you need! You had me properly distracted crossing my eyes, and then BAM! Yes she was playing it up a bit, sue her. It never hurt to indulge the kits a bit. @nyme

Laying beside the apprentice, Willowtail gave a gentle flick of her abnormally long tail, "I got teased through my apprentice days for being so lanky and having short fur. Willowtail blinked. Shifting gently. "Well were Riverclan. We used to live by the River clearly, but Windclan lived next to us. We shared a border with Thunderclan and Shadowclan and Windclan was just beyond Thunderclan. Windclan lives on the moor, they eat rabbits and some birds for a living and are skinny and small. Which is where I get my build from. And I'm just extra small because my mom was a decently small cat and my dad is a munchkin cat so he's extremely short." Willowtail purred. Flicking her long tail to show Starryoaw. "And my names Willowtail for a reason, my tails abnormally long..... i'm used to cats stepping on it at this point." Willowtail joked with a gentle purr, her ears flicking gently. "I don't have the best background though........ my dad did..... some bad things to my mom which was the cause for her having kits.... all three litters weren't supposed to happen but here we are." Willowtail sighed.
Willowtail flicked her tail, "I'm the oldest... the second oldest is my brother from the second litter Weepingpaw.. the our adoptive sister Berrypaw who is also the medicine cat apprentice." Willowtail added with a bit of pride. "Then the youngest and last litter was little Daisykit... she was born oddly though... Daisykit is as fragile as a newborn even though shes almost 1 and a half moons. She bumps her bum to hard while sitting and shes bruised for a week.... and her focus is horrible... she was just born with it..." Willowtail mewed gently, realizing she'd blabbed on. "Oops...... sorry I tend to blad when I get excited." Willowtail meowed.

The warrior felt a way that she had never felt before, secondhand embarrassment. And it was a strong feeling. Oh good grief. Her eyes darting to the RiverClan leader now, she watched as Dusklion hid behind him like a scared rabbit. Yay, just who she wanted to see. How had he been out here without either the cats knowing? It made no sense at all, but she’d go with it. Thunder laughed when he declared her exile. Fading was proving her point exactly.
” On what grounds does my exile stand? To tell the truth, you are proving my exact point. FadingStar, I don’t know if I should even call you that considering what you’ve done the clan. Stop blaming shifting it’s quite annoying. Whose fault is it that the clan is like this then? Dusk claims it’s hers, and you’re claiming it’s yours. So who’s is it?”
The warrior pointed at the deputy then the leader as she spoke, challenging Fading’s charge.
”If you think I’m a threat to RiverClan for telling Dusklion about how no one in Riverclan trust your judgement, then you’re wrong. You’re gonna make me laugh, if you think I’m stupid to start a rebellion against a power hungry leader, and a deputy who follows your every order.
I don’t care that your siblings, stop talking about that, it’s annoying. And it’s clear that you hold DuskLion in the deputy position because of plain nepotism. But that’s not my point. Fading I won’t restate my points because of your somehow super powered hearing and ability to get into a hiding spot without two healthy cats hearing you move there.
You have no right to exile me the way you are. I have yet to actually do anything in your clan other than defend it with my life. I killed cats for this clan, something you seem to love, considering you like to hold public executions for warriors. I have no intent to start anything between this clan and you Fading. So find a new reason on which my exile stands on SOLID MEANINGFUL grounds.”
The warrior didn’t care for the exile as much as her words implied. She really just wanted to see what other lame dumb excuse Fading could muster up before she left. In the end she had a final plan, she planned for an exile at some point. Thunder made her opinion on Fadingsun being leader extremely public at meetings and through body language at such. They expected Fading to do something stupid like this anyways.

Her life was a nightmare. A disaster. And there was no one to blame but herself. Wisteriawren held in a quiet whimper as she lay in the clearing, her cheek pressed against the cold ground, all her focus on not caving to the tears that wanted to spill down her cheeks. So when a voice sounded above her, Wisteriawren warily lifted her head, watery blue-gold eyes turning towards Twigstep. Oh. It was the elder she'd talked to before.

Instead of making the obvious choice and running, Thunderchaser decided to continue running her mouth with nonsense. At what point did he say that RiverClan's state was his fault? This cat was pulling things out of thin air; virtually nothing she'd said during this entire debacle was true or rooted in any sort of logic.
He really didn't want to have to kill her; after the whole Fogmuzzle situation, he'd been trying his hardest to avoid having to kill any RiverClan cats. But Thunderchaser wasn't giving him much choice; at this point, it seemed his options were to either let her live and risk RiverClan's safety, or kill her and hope it didn't cause him to spiral again.
At the very least, the leader knew he had to maintain a strong composure for as long as she lived. Let her see weakness, and she might choose to take advantage of it and strike first.
"Cut the crap," he hissed. "I don't believe for a second that you're not planning a rebellion. Dusklion accused you very explicitly of planning a rebellion, but you didn't do anything to defend yourself from it. But now that I'm here, all of a sudden you want to backtrack and claim you aren't actually planning anything. I call lies on that.
"I don't owe you anything. You're a threat to RiverClan; I gave you the chance to run, and you chose not to. So now, these will be your last moments with the living."

Shoving down the doubt and allowing his anger at her to momentarily take over, Fadingstar sprang forward. He wanted to make this quick and clean, to make up for Fogmuzzle's death in some sort of strange, morbid way.
As he landed in front of Thunderchaser, he ducked down and twisted. With a quick snap of his jaws, he sank his teeth into her throat and tore with all his effort. Blood sprayed his face, bringing back flashes of the battle where he'd been temporarily blinded. Those memories brought a surge of fear in him, causing him to freeze momentarily.
Thankfully, that moment had no bearing on Thunderchaser's fate. While Fadingstar froze, lost momentarily in memories past, the former RiverClan warrior slumped to the ground, blood pouring out of the huge gash in her throat. Within just a couple of moments, the light died from her eyes and she stilled.
Fadingstar came out of the flashbacks just in time to notice Thunderchaser die. He'd succeeded at making it quick, and the threat to his Clan was gone.
He stared at the body for a few minutes, forgetting that he wasn't alone. He could feel a fire deep within him, urging him toward that darkness that found killing RiverClan's enemies more satisfying than he should. It was like a tasty piece of prey in leaf-bare, coaxing him toward a point he might not be able to easily return from.
Claws scraping against rock, he pushed as hard as he could against that urge. Reminding himself again and again that it wasn't the real him, that it was just some sort of... side effect of being leader.
Sheathing his claws, he finally remembered that Dusklion was still there. He turned eyes on her, but the look he gave her was one of somber acceptance rather than hate or anger. "I wish she hadn't made me do that," he said quietly.
Shaking his head, he glanced back down at Thunderchaser's body. "I can't have RiverClan crumbling because of one cat's beliefs that my leadership is illegitimate. She... could've ran. I wish she had."
Fadingstar was silent for a couple moments before looking at his sister again. "You should go back to camp. I'll take care of Thunderchaser's body, bury it beyond our borders somewhere. I'll inform the Clan of her demise at the next meeting. I hope you're okay after... all that. The majority of the Clan has moved on from Fallownose; it isn't your problem that a slim minority can't."
He bent down to grab Thunderchaser's body. "I just... love you, Dusklion, and I want you to be okay." It had been a long time since he'd said that; too long.
With that, he heaved Thunderchaser's body over his shoulders and started heading down the mountain.

DUSKLION
she/her | riverclan deputy | 30 moons go with the flow, rapid recovery, beefed up t3, mind reader
The world spewed by the kit-warrior were enough to bring a snarl out of Dusklion, who whipped her head up with a glare. "I don't-" she started, but halted her words when Thunderchaser continued. Even though her mind was still reeling from the acusations tossed her way, she could sniff out that the cat before them was backtracking. Yeah, Dusklion didn't hold much belief to begin with that she would be one to spearhead a rebellion, but it caught her attention how quick she was to say that was no longer the case.
What happened next moved a lot faster than the deputy found herself prepared for. Her brother leapt fast and his teeth were already sinking into Thunderchaser's neck when Dusklion found she was able to move again. "Wait-!" Her words were met with the thud of the lifeless warrior's body as she fell to the floor, leaving the deputy to stare down at her. Horror and frustration merged into a murky shadow over her gaze, and eventually it shifted from Thunderchaser to her brother.
"...She made you do that??" No, she hadn't. If her brother truly thought the wet sop of moss that was Thunderchaser was an actual thread, then they had bigger problems. "When have you actually seen her do anythin' outside of sit 'n complain at meetin's? Or talk to any cat in the Clan that wasn't her own two starsdammed paws? You could've chased her off, sent her away with some wounds to think about. But no. You killed her. You snuffed out any chance we could've had at tryin' to fix the way some of the cats in this Clan see us 'n see leadership." Fallownose. Fogmuzzle. "I was handlin' it just fine 'fore you stuck your big, fat head in! Do you not trust me to handle problems that crop up? Do you think I can't handle a mouthy warrior or two, Fades? Because this is the third time now you've done it your way. Why the hell am I even your deputy if you don't trust me to handle issues like a do-nothing warrior who wants to get a little arrogant with me??"
Fed up. She was so fed up with her brother consistently undermining her - saying he trusted her and then sticking his nose into every piece of business she tried to handle. Antlermutter, the queens, and now this. The dark tabby snorted and shook her head. "Yeah, real smart. Bury her outside the borders yet keep the body of an outsider who did nothin' for our Clan within them. Her only crime was bein' a mouse-brain. You better find a way to spin this to the Clan, Fades, or it's gonna be Fogmuzzle all over again."
Like hell she'd go back to camp. Watching as her brother headed down the mountain with the body of a cat they could've tried to actually speak with and change their mind, Dusklion snorted. "Yeah? And I want you to quit ridin' my tail when I'm tryin' to handle stuff in this damn Clan," she muttered quietly under her breath before whipping around and stalking off.
