“An unruly apprentice fuled by the karma from my apprenticeship would be a nightmare, I won’t lie.” Poppysong lets out a yawn and stretches their maw to reveal all their sharp teeth.
At the mention of the injury they crack a sheepish smile. “Aw, yeah, I’m surprised I don’t have more scars, to be honest.” They tap the scars on their cheek. “That rock just looked so climbable, I couldn’t help myself.”
The memory makes them wonders if their nervousness is a product of situations like those. As they look further back in their memory they become more surprised that they have so few noticable scars, from all the tumbles and rushing into danger.
“Hm? Fallowpaw?” They look over at the apprentice with curious eyes. “Don’t worry I’m sure they will grow into their cheekiness as they mature, just like me,” they joke and flick their ear.
“You do seem to have a type of apprentice you like to mentor. The mischievous ones, and I still can’t see why,” they hum.

"If you'd had it your way, you'd be all scar and no fur!" she purred, thinking back to her days as their mentor. Back then, Poppysong had seemed to find trouble like long fur found burrs. But, as they said, they had certainly grown into their cheekiness - she was proud of the warrior they had become.
Softsong's whisker's twitched in amusement at the observation. "More like Twilightstar has a type of apprentice she likes assigning me to wrangle," she grumbled. "If I wasn't naturally grey, I'm sure I would have turned grey from the stress of you all!" But for all her grumpiness, she had a soft spot for the cheekier apprentices. Something about their mischief lightened her mood, even if it also gave her a lot more work. "Maybe I just like to be busy," she mewed. "I'm not one for idle paws."
An offwhite she-cat, with brown, black, dark gray speckles, and blue/green heterochromia.
VC: a light Hungarian + British accent; a purr after every "r."
Dawnkit blinked. Why were so many cats suddenly trying to converse with her? Oh, no. Were her tears visible?
First, it was the kind she-cat @Wheattail who Dawnkit has never seen before, except once, and that was probably millions of seasons ago. And-
My fur's not fully grown?
Dawnkit bristled a tiny bit at the comment. She wasn't a kit no more!
"Uh, yeah! Yeah, surrre. Sorrrry, I'm just lost in thought about.." Not about Miss Asterblink. "Uh..." Not about Mum... "About... the Peachfrrrost and Cowtuft situation! I..- oh, gosh darrn it!"
Asterblink told me that was something I was not supposed to talk about!
Uh oh.
Would Dawnkit get in trouble?
Before Dawnkit could say anything else, @another cat walked up to her. Well, accidentally walked up to her. They tripped over Dawnkit, which caused her to jump back.
"Oh- sirrr! Are you alrrrright? I'm so sorrrry!" She quickly ran up to said 'sir,' and... he looked fine. But... his lungs didn't sound so good. The cat's accent was also so hard to understand, Dawnkit had to keep leaning in so that she could actually translate everything.
"Oh..." was her reaction after realizing the cat's attempt at a joke. "Oh, haha... that's.." What does one say after making light of a death?
This tom was awkward, funny, and cool? Now, these were the kind of cats Dawnkit wanted to hang out with! "I'm... I'm Dawnkit!"

Poppysong sheepishly shuffles their paws. They can’t help but agree that their younger self went through a few too many near-injury (and even near-death) experiences. Their tail twitches at the thought of… death so they move on from the thought quickly.
“Well, you are very good at wrangling your apprentices into behaving, despite the stress,” they point out. They steal another glance at Fallowpaw. “And I’m sure your paws won’t be too idle for long with your apprentice,” they say with a smile.
Part of them wishes they had kept that feeling of wonder from being an apprentice, of discovering something new seemingly everyday. Longing for something new, they look up at Twilightstar, wondering if something they’ll say will introduce an opportunity for adventure. They quickly squash this hope, though, knowing any adventure they announce would be for a severe and serious reason.
*Tigermist smiled and asked what the hurd was for*
Beastpaw replied that IT'S NUTHIN'! before stumping off to a quiet corner to sulk. Tigermist was gonna have kits because Beastpaw herself wasn't enough. BOo HiSS to that, although... Maybe the kit-aged apprentice really wasn't that great. She sighed to herself, rocking back and forth in rumination. Life was so unfair!

(lol the pettiness)
(Yeah)
*Tigermist laughed and said that Beastpaw might be able to make new friends with her kits when they are born*
Twilightstar rose from her crouch and swished her tail behind her back, commanding her clan's attention. She knew many of the cats would probably want to hear about what was going on with the medicine cats and their deceased clanmates, but as always she didn't want such news to get in the way of ceremonies.
"Adderkit, Caterpillarkit, Ravenkit, Spottedkit, and Mintkit. It's time for your apprentice ceremonies." If she recalled correctly, this would be the second time she's called for Mintkit. The first the kit hadn't been present when called. If this happened again, Twilightstar would have to talk with the young one. #wcmeeting
Spottedkit perked her ears up when she heard it was her time to become an apprentice. She couldn't believe so much time had already past. She happily padded up to the meeting spot with a little purr.
@Moonraven
Thriftfall came trotting over when Twilightstar announced some random kit names. Where does all the tension go? I want some war to happen. Everything else sounds so boring/ Thriftfall stared into the blue, remembering the gatherings where everything was so tense.
Sighing, he sat down somewhere random and pondered about some random things.
