No doubt you will. He murmured. Honestly, it didn't feel as though he did great things anymore. Gah, being old sucked. The platinum white tom sighed in a troubled way, glancing over at Dawnwhisper. Who was your mentor?
~Dawnwhisper~
Hawkfoot in a NPC that passed away not long after Dawn became a warrior.
Dawnwhisper blinked for a moment, recalling their old mentor as they puffed out a breath “Hawkfoot,” murmuring softly as they said this. Of course they missed their mentor but they hadn’t had a great relationship with him. Looking back towards Blizzardwind they purred out a light “and thank you,” seeming genuinely grateful for Blizzardwinds first sentence.

He obviously knew what he was doing. He grunted, not used to giving cats compliments. It was weird. Hawkfoot seemed a touchy subject, so Blizzardwind left the conversation there. Trying to lift the conversation, he brought up his own former mentor. My mentor was a total ass, didn't teach me a thing. Smelled funny too.

They hadn’t expected another compliment from the grumpy tom at their side. Continuing to look at him, his next words roused a soft laugh from Dawnwhisper. “Well, if they were a total ass it makes sense they’d smell funny,” for a bit of added effect they wrinkled their nose.

Blizzardwind's brow furrowed as he glanced at Dawnwhisper, then snorted and chuckled. You making jokes now? He smiled. It did make perfect sense, though. It does seem like that would be true, huh?

Dawnwhisper purred in amusement, their fluffy tail dragging lightly in the sand as they walked. They were quite enjoying their time now “cmon, I know you like my jokes,” they weren’t actually sure if he did like her jokes in all honesty. Nodding, they almost seemed to take on a joking seriousness “exactly it’d would be true.”.

He purred, it sounded like a growl, he was so out of practice. Gosh. Don't be so sure about that. Okay, maybe not all cats were bad. At least not this one, he quite enjoyed their company.

Giving a soft laugh the cat gently bumped their shoulder playfully against Blizzardwinds. They were happy to have gotten him to purr and it was quite clearly showing.

He laughed. It was starting to get dark, he could see the sky blending from blue to scarlet. "We'd better head back, don't want to be missed." It was funny because he wouldn't be missed.

Turning their gaze upward for a moment before giving a nod. They rounded on their paws, turning to start the trek back towards their home. Though, they did move slow at first to allow Blizzardwind the continue walking by them.

Blizzardwing trotted alongside Dawnwhisper, doing his best to keep pace. His paws left divets in the sand and the tiny pebble scraped his pads. His eyes fixed straight forward, and he remembered the last time he had walked through here, on this path. It had been a while since him and Dappledshadow were a thing. He wondered briefly if she still thought of him. Or rather, looked down at him.
