He shuffled his back paws, mostly to adjust his aim but partially in demonstration for his apprentice, before he jumped forward in an explosive pounce. He quickly delivered the killing bit and motioned Amberpaw over.

"Did you see?"

After the confrontation with Hailstorm (his heart broken for her), Whiskernose slipped away from his mate, only looking to be gone just long enough to pass on a warning to one of the Clans. As it turned out, RiverClan was the closest. The strongest. The most likely to be able to help.
He couldn't afford for Citrusflower to wake up without him and not know where he was, he hadn't told her of this, after all, so he couldn't afford to wait at the border for a patrol to come by, so he barged in, hoping he would eventually run into a patrol or somehow find their camp.
And hopefully they would let him go after.
His heart raced, this was a bad idea. But someone had to let someone know of Dawnstripe.

Breezehen was sun bathing in the last, fleeting warmth as colder days were to come when she heard the very loud stomping of some cat. They weren't RiverClan, so she jumped up and whirled towards the approaching cat, and heard the paw steps slow.
Whiskernose took a deep breathe, hoping the she cat didn't flay him alive for trespassing. Which she didn't, but she did manage to slap him around a bit before he could convincingly explain his presence and the urgency this was.
She reluctantly decided to fetch Sootflare, but refused to let this cat into camp.

Lionstar was hardly worried though - the jumpy lady didn't seem like she'd be an issue. "A little bird told me you killed her, but I'll admit I'm a little.. apprehensive? About taking this news at face value. She seemed very, convinced Icebrains was gone for good, but leaders have several lives, and to my knowledge she wasn't on her last one." Maybe Hailstorm could shed some light on this, because Lionstar was baffled and curious as he slid down from his branch. His paws were light as they hit the ground, and he shook his pelt briefly to make his spikes more presentable.

"So my question.. for you, is this: is Icestar truly-- gone? And if so, how does a cat manage to kill a leader several times? In front of the Clan, no less! I know you slew her during a meeting."

Hailstorm was visibly uncomfortable with the questions, and with how much Lionstar knew. Icestar had warned the clans about her at a gathering? She was that bent on control? The warrior shuddered at the thought. She thanked the stars that nobody had dragged her in sooner.

"It was...her throat...and then I pushed her from the highbranch. She broke her spine." Her voice was a rasp as she shamefully and painfully retold her tale of assassination to a rival Clan leader. This was her only option left.
"They didn't expect it. That's why it worked. Nobody had ever, in my life, seen me as anything close to a threat...Her spine injury took the last of her remaining lives." She took a shaky breath in and out.

"She's really gone."

Duckbounce was meanwhile still panicking about the situation. She listened to the tom's words very carefully, trying to decode everything, but nothing she could really get a grasp of understatement on.

When the warrior saw the other molly walk up, she was almost excited. She listened closely and replied specifically to the question. "Yes, I would very much appreciate the help. What happened was I was just out here taking a stroll and I saw this tom trip over... a branch and hit his head on a rock. He seems to be hurt and hallucinating even." The molly said in a concerned voice.

The tom padded out of the camp, turning to wait for Dovepaw. First, they would head to the ShadowClan border ... No. WindClan first. Then ThunderClan and possibly ShadowClan. "You ready Dove?" Dogflame asked, tour already planned out in his dumb head. The fox-like warrior shuffled his paws, slightly nervous. Let's hope he would be a good mentor.

Well, let's get going ... Fight cats off? If we do, You stay back. Understood?" The tom instructed. He paused as he remembered something. Right. Halfpaw is my other apprentice. Black paws shuffled, letting out anxiety. "Next training session, you and Halfpaw will be training together. Now let's go" he meowed, heading off towards WindClan. He would take Dovepaw around the territory after the borders were shown to the molly. Two apprentices to train. By myself. Shouldn't be hard, right?
