Vinesmoke headed over in the direction of where his name had been called he grinned at his best friends mentor giving a courteous nod “Haha yes it was quite chilly but nothing I couldn’t handle”he said while laughing though he turned serious quickly he would be a patrol leader not nerve wracking at all he tried to hide his supprise.
“Alrgighty you can count on me I’ll try my best” he turned to look for his patrol mates ready to get a head start. “Kestrelpaw,Fallpaw let’s head out and go get this marigold”

The she trotted over to Ashcloud, that's who is leading the patrol, she awaited instruction. This was the first actual patrol she had gone on as a warrior. "You ready?" The small she asked the cat.

(Blueclaw)-(Windclan warrior)-(21 moons)-(Tomcat)
Blueclaw trotted over, making sure to watch where he placed each of his paws, his tail keeping him balanced.
" Hey guys! Are you guys ready to head out? "
He asked trying to sound friendly, he usually had this straight face. However he tried to seem friendlier?

18 moons || she/her || WindClan Warrior || honed skill [INACTIVE] scrawny calico with one blind eye; blue eyes
"We'll be back before you know it, Twilightstar!" Little calico chirps, acknowledging the order to steer clear of ShadowClan's border. She doesn't really want to get into any trouble with the frogs, but if they happen to spot Palepaw with his mentor she'd be pleased just seeing the apprentice getting the experiences he could get. That kid was an interesting one.
"Silkpaw, Spottedpaw, Sunriseleap! Lotsa prey to catch~" Calling her patrol over, she flicks her tail in signal to follow her lead to Sky Glade.
Sunriseleap padded up to Lichenshock, greeting the warrior with a small dip of her head before she waited for the rest of the patrol to gather. Two to three pieces of prey? Seemed doable enough.

Bluestrike padded back into the WindClan camp. Hi! He greeted Crowtooth through a mouth full of the rabbit he was carrying. We checked the border, and as usual, no trouble. He grinned. We didn't catch much, but it was a learning experience for these two. He glanced over at the fresh kill pile before motioning for Cottonpaw to follow. +1 rabbit(Bluestrike's catch) +1 mouse(Cottonpaw's catch) Hey, Crowtooth? Bluestrike added, retreating back to where he had been. Could these two grab some fresh kill? They worked really hard. He mentioned. Even though Bouncepaw hadn't caught anything, he'd sure tried more than himself.

Bouncepaw hadn't caught anything. He'd tried for a long time, and his paws felt sore after walking so much, but that was just how things were. And though he failed to catch prey, the other two members of the patrol succeeded. A rabbit and a mouse weren't bad catches since it was becoming leaf bare... right?
"Maybe just a bite of something stale, but I'll be fine without it." Bouncepaw meows anxiously, not wanting to burden his mentor too much. He glances at the other apprentice for his opinion, "Cottonpaw?"
Fleetsmoke WindClan Warrior
She / Her ; 30 Moons
a splotched white-and-light-brown she-cat with ice-blue eyes, mentor to silkpaw.
Fleetsmoke´s lithe form made its way into the WindClan camp through the gorse tunnel that marked the entrance and exit to the clearing, a grouse between her jaws. It was scrawny, however, and wouldn´t feed even a third of her Clanmates; though, Fleetsmoke supposed that it was something.
Spotting Crowtooth´s black tabby form, the warrior looked back over her shoulder to be sure that Silkpaw had followed her into the camp and shouldered her way through the crowd of cats and over to the WindClan Deputy beside the fresh-kill pile. Fleetsmoke placed her grouse down on top before speaking to the tom.
´´The hunting was scarce,´´ The warrior reported with a wave of her tail, her ears twitching. ´´All Silkpaw and I managed to find was this grouse and a scrawny mouse that Silks caught.´´
The she-cat´s eyes narrowed against the bright leaf-fall sunshine that shone down into the camp, fluffing up her white-and-light-brown fur against the bitter chill. ´´Windy Hills doesn´t look very well. The terrain is charred, blackened. There is still a lingering scent of smoke, too,´´ Fleetsmoke mewed, her voice brisk yet polite and respectful as she spoke to Crowtooth. ´´Silks and I found a dead rabbit from the fire and buried it. Didn´t want it luring any foxes or lynxes onto the territory to feed on its rotten corpse. That´s more than likely now that it is getting colder.´´
´´Whatever prey that wasn´t killed by the fire was obviously driven from their homes. Since Windy Hills wasn´t one of the places Hawkfur sent me to during the search for the fires, I didn´t realize that it had gotten that bad over there. I apologize for that,´´ Fleetsmoke dipped her head to Crowtooth before speaking again on a happier note. ´´That mouse I mentioned, the one Silkpaw caught? That was her first catch. I know that it is scrawny and likely stringy, but at least it is something, you know?´´
The WindClanner´s ice-blue hues gleamed with pride as she told the Deputy about Silkpaw catching the mouse. Hopefully Crowtooth would be pleased, as that was what Fleetsmoke had told Silkpaw.
Silkpaw didnt seem inclined to come over and talk post patrol but Fleetsmoke more then made up for it, giving all the details needed. The windy hills sounded like they needed time, as was expected but that prey was able to be caught at all was a good sign that recovery would be swift. Especially if rain came soon. "About what I expected really, the skyglade was also rough from how I recall it was when we left. Thanks fer gettin' all the details fer me, yer catches are more then enough given the state an' tell Silkpaw its a good first catch an' Im proud o' her fer it.
Good call on the crow food, go get some rest."
After seeing all that it was the least Fleetsmoke deserved.

She didn't get hung up on it, holding her snake in mouth. "'Course," she responded to Dreamlight, taking the lead back to camp. Dreamlight's leg seemed to be a worry - but she trusted the warrior would see the meds when they got back.
Arriving into camp, she noticed Crowtooth waiting. She approached, dropping the snake by her own paws. "Hiya. No recent sign of ShadowClan, but the border's a wee bit perilous to say the least." She motioned to the snake as she explained. "Three snakes. We took 'em out, and there di'n't seem to be anymore, but you can never be too sure." Stars, she couldn't wait to get some sleep.
Dreamlight moved slowly noting the Leopardpaw didn't seem too troubled by the whole thing. At least it didn't sound like she was. She still relied to heavily on visual cues to figure out emotional states which was a lot harder to do when you can't use now. She'd have to trust that Leopardpaw would let her know if she was troubled.
By the time they reached camp, Dreamlight dropped her snake chunks on the pile and waved her nub of a tail as they reached Crowtooth. "I got bitten so we didn't have time to do actual hunting. I hope the snakes count for something. But I need to see Lightningstorm. Leopardpaw make sure you get something to eat before you rest." She meowed after Buttercuptwist gave the deputy their report.
The younger warrior was subconscious about getting blood all over and wanted to get that tended too quickly. She hoped Crowtooth didn't mind the quick retreat or the lack of her report. The she-cat limped off to the medicine cat's den with that. +2 snakes
@Rani [Crowtooth] @Idiotic.Bean101 [Leopardpaw] @sleepyyjax [Buttercuptwist]
...... Snakes? That was not a common sight in windclan at all, much less the windclan shadowclan border. Much less snakes riles up to bite. "Stars that yer standin' tells me that the snakes werent the 'kill ya fast' kind but yeah please go see Lightningstorm quick. Do ya think thats the last o' them or should I consult wit' Twi about sendin' out an extermination patrol or temporary border ban. I trust yer judgement on this but seriously dont stress about lack o' huntin' at this point."
Attacking snakes were a more immediate and pressing threat then the prey pile after all. Once one cat responded Crowtooth was happy to dismiss them both, anxious to get this over with as fast as possible and get them into care.

Borders seemed all clear today and Crowtooth was always happy about it, nodding at the incoming patrol. A bit of quiet was just what windclan needed after the fire. "Any prey is good prey an' yall were a border patrol anyways. It aint yer first priority an' Im always happy ta see apprentices progress yer trainin'. If ya need food eat, seriously it's what its for an' we'll have more prey soon, leafbare aint quite set in just yet."
