As Meadowkit spoke her train of thought came to a stop while her ears perked up at her question, a nickname…. “A nickname?” She questioned, she heard what Meadow said but then again she was only half listening.

Meadowkit nods her head vigorously, enthusiasm fueling her movements.

"Yeah! A super cool one, you want one?" The white and golden kit declares, her tone cheerful.

Meadowkit scrunches her brow in thought, why is Turtlepaw acting so weird? She seems sad, but... super think-y at the same time. That was not a word, she really needs a better vocabulary. Meadowkit's brow sinks lower, now she's gotten distracted trying to think of really long and professional-sounding words.

"Yes... I think I need a drumroll though. Actually, I'll do it myself, for suspense," Meadowkit beats her paws on the ground, tail waving excitedly,
"... Shell!"

The molly beams at Turtlepaw, does she get it? She thinks it's very clever, Shell as in Turtlepaw?

Midnightkit padded into the clearing, looking around for any cat to talk to, mainly Rosecloud who was the only warrior they had spoken too. She spotted the calm spoken warrior, laying in the sun and padded over to her happily. "Hyia Rosecloud!"



Rosecloud looked down at the kit and purred. "Hello Midnightkit, how are you?" She asks the kit, who wasn't really a kit anymore. The kit was getting bigger and soon will be too big for the nursery. Hopefully Midnightkit will get their apprentice ceremony.


"I am good, thanks for asking!" Midnightkit mews excitedly. They pounced on the warrior's paws and smiled up at her. "Can we play a game?" They asked, giving Rosecloud the sad eyes, knowing the trick would work.

Rosecloud laughs and nods. "What game?"

"I am a hunter and your the prey!" Midnightkit says super hyper now.

Rosecloud nods thinking this would be a great way for them to practice hunting.

The kit watch as Rosecloud stood and ran off around the clearing, and soon followed her, ready to get her at any moment.

It took Turtlepaw a moment to process the joke in the nickname before she started laughing, “Shell……I like it!” She said excited as she made her fluffy tail curl onto her back to make her own makeshift shell.

Darkcloud silently watched the clearing, making sure nothing out of the ordinary was happening.
