Poppyshine looked down adoringly at her five kits, born only two days ago. She's yet to come up with names for them yet, she was picky about those kinds of things.

Her first kit was big, with long black fur, a grey undercoat, and dark green eyes. She sighed. Grizzly, her mate, had had grey fur, a blue eye, and a green eye. She nuzzled her firstborn with her nose and decided to call her Peonykit. It was a flower, just like her own name. "Peonykit," she murmured with a gentle lick.

The next kit was a tom, fine-boned with long black fur. His graceful features reminded her of a bird, and she called him Hummingbirdkit. She said that name aloud as well.

The third was another molly, with long white fur and Grizzly's blue eyes, only twice as beautiful because they were both that sky-blue shade. From the molly's sweet demeanor to her littermates, and how her eyes reminded Poppyshine of Grizzly, she called her "Heartkit."

The fourth was another tom, with pale grey fur just like Grizzly's only longer and her own deep brown eyes. He also had a white chest that reminded her of clouds on a stormy day. "You'll be called Stormkit," she decided and looked to the last kit.

It was a tiny little thing, and Poppyshine could only hope it would survive. She shied away from the others and seemed very skittish. "And Mousekit," Poppyshine completed her naming.

The new mother looked up as another she-cat entered the nursery to see her mother, Acornpelt. What was that she was carrying?

Acornpelt
The she-cats heart was melting as She struggled to carry two kits. Acornpelt had left the reddish one at the entrance. The Warrior walked over to the nest were her daughter and five grandchildren were occupying. She gently put the kits down. "Hi sweetie, I have something to ask of you." Acornpelt told her, before remembering the other kit.
"Just give me a sec." She rushed off, returning with the last kit, and placed it with the other two.

Three kits lay curled together. Two of them are large brown tabby she-cats, soon to be Blossomkit and Rabbitkit. The other one is a small grey tabby, soon to be Wishkit. The two brown tabbies are mewling in hope for milk and so is the grey tabby, but hardly hearable. Their mother died birthing them. (open to a shadowclan queen)

Snowkit looked into Acornpelt's eyes, their green eyes steadily studying their grandmother's gaze. They flicked their tail, wriggling to get down. "Mmmf!" they mumbled. "Ffff!" Snowkit dived down into the warm nest. As soon as they did, they began to fall asleep, relishing the warmth.
