ShadowClan Medicine Cat's Den - Page 8

Ebonyfang looked up from his work when a queen came into his den. The tom looked up to see Duskfern and it looked like she was struggling. Once he got what she was saying he grabbed some moss to make a nest. She would need to be comfortable after all. "Here lay down here.", he meowed, softly. He padded over to her, ready to guide her if she needed help.

Mintkit walked into the medic den
"Ebonyfang can i be your aprenice? Your job is much more important than a warrior! My name even has a herb in it!" she stammered on apprenitce

She heaved herself up and edged a little more onto the moss. She would’ve been more irritated, but she was growing tired. She stiffened up at the pain once more, wanting to get it over with. She looked up and gave Ebonyfang a questioning glare. Cursing under her breath, she looked around the den, layed on her side.

Ebonyfang looked up from his work after scenting a kit walk into his den. As the kid spoke he just turned and looked. Normally he would irritable, but Mintkit was a young kit. The tom slid over to her. "Not currently looking for an apprentice kid. Check back with me in a couple of moons.", Ebonyfang meowed in his emotionless voice. The tom placed his tail on her back and lead her towards the den exit.

Ebonyfang padded over to his store and grabbed a stick before walking back over to his patient. He placed it in front of her. "Thats there is you need it. What I need you to do for me is breathe. Once your breathing is good and you feel confident you push.", he meowed. The tom pressed his paw gently on her belly, getting ready to help.

The she-cat listened to what he had said and slowed down her breathing. It still hurt, but felt a little better. She slowly picked up the stick in her jaws and pushed as she let out a squeal. Closing her eyes, she did it again this time, but harder.

Mintkit knew she shouldn't be in the medic den but, she had found a patch of heathy merrigold in a small crack in a boulder and she new Ebonyfang was busey but maybe if she snuck in? She knew it was the best option but
Mintkit felt awful comming back after expresly being excused but it was best for the clan. She pressed herself agenst a rock and crept in slipped passed Ebonyfang and dropped the plant into the pile then slipped out.

Ebonyfang did notice the kit that snuck back in, but it looked like she had found something. The medicine cat looked at Mintkit. "Where did you get those marigolds at? They have been really hard to find.", he meowed. Ebonyfang wasn't sure though if they had taken it out or not.

"oh. . . I uh I found It in a rock and it was covered in moss so I suppose that was keeping it from freezing but i smelt it when the wind changed" Mintkit was emmbaressed at being caught red pawed bringing in marigold when she wasnt suppose to be in the medic den "um . . are you angery that I snuck in?" she asked in an effort to get the conversation moving
