The smoke tortie stood her ground, awaiting the elderly molly's almost certain spat reply, eyes narrowed. She wasn't usually confrontational, but she hated when cats were conceited assholes for no reason.

Softsong trotted back into camp in a sour mood. She'd been out all morning looking for something to add to the fresh-kill pile, and after finding barely any prey and fumbling the few opportunities to catch something she'd had, she'd been forced to come back empty-pawed. As if she needed more excuses for a bad mood, with ThunderClan killing cats at the border and cats being found dead in their nests!

Her ears pricked at the sound of hissing. She turned to see what was happening, alert in case of danger - but it was WindClan cats fighting amongst themselves! Her tail lashed.

If she weren't already in a bad mood, Softsong might have kept her nose out of it, but as it was...

"What's going on here?" she snapped. "Isn't there enough trouble to go around without starting more of it in camp?"
