Srpingpaw laughed. This kit was brave enough to try and take on a cat bigger than him. "We don't hurt kits. We're not merciless rogues running this forest. We have standards." Springpaw would've liked the idea of taking the two cats into Thunderclan, but after leaving for so long, he wasn't sure that Duskstar would be pleased to find outsiders in Thunderclan camp.

Fogwhisper glanced over her shoulder, prey-scent flooding her jaws. "Alright. Over there, in that meadow, there's a nest of voles. We're going to raid it. Understand?" She flicked her tail in the direction of the nest, grinning at the thought of taking the prey back home.

"Very good." He walked a small distance away and entered the crouch himself.
"Right, now, we'll do basics. Swiping. With your claws sheathed, attack me. Don't worry about hurting me, I can handle it." He smiled at the apprentice, hoping to encourage him.
"And put your weight behind it, like you're trying to knock me over."

Bonepaw nodded, a little nervously. He rushed foward, almost leaping, towards his mentor. Keeping his claws sheathed, he swiped as powerfully as he could as he flew, before losing balance and rolling downwards. “Ow.” he muttered, as he fell against the rocky wall.

As the apprentice's blow swung wide and tumbled over, Mossyflight padded over to him. "Are you alright? Perhaps we should take things one at a time."
He attempted to help the apprentice up.

Clawpaw looked over towards the nest, using his nose to smell the voles. The slight scent hit him, growing gradually stronger as he approached softly. Clawpaw suddenly paused. “They’ll just run away that this pace. There has to be a hunting trick.”
