Pricking her ears at the sound of her name Darkcloud swiftly padded over. Now what? She wasn't usally called, nor did she get in trouble much, so it must be something important...but what? She'd know soon enough.
"Yes?" her voice neutral as always but her eyes had a hint of interest glowing in them as she awaited an answer. Who was this again? Darkfall, wasn't it? She never really payed attention to cats so it was normal for her to not be the most informed about her clanmates.

The molly got to her paws, stretching her muscles and heading out of the apprentice's den. A small yawn escaped from her maw as she looked around, wondering what she could do today. She still remembered her herb patrol, and collecting moss with Bitterbane - that had been pretty fun, so why not do something like that? Getting Lostspark some extra herbs was always good she supposed, although the only ones she really knew of were moss and cobwebs (was moss even usable as a herb?) along with the two herbs from her patrol. Celandine and bonset.. she had no clue what they did, but knowing how they looked was good enough for this. "Could a warrior accompany to go look for some cobwebs or something?" she asked with a tilt of her head, bright eyes scanning the clearing.

Fishflip is feeling a little silly today, hm. Who to annoy today? The young warrior is suuuuuppppeeerrrr bored! UGH no-one was fun enough in this clan! They were all serious and trying to be scary! She escapes into the clearing, he is drawn to attention by a simple question by Palepaw. Hm! This was perfect! The bi colored cat giggles while smiling, "Ahem! It is I, the mighty Fishflip! I am here to escort you on this herb patrol young las! Let's get going on this trip!"
She seemed full of energy so it was only required that they do the same! Fishflip giggles some more as he lashes her tail wildly. She needed cobwebs? Then it was scary forest with bugs time, maybe! Leading the way, the warrior had a single question, "Where do you wish to go to look for some?" A smile wide on his face.
Having finished his preparations, Darkfall took up a spot in the middle of the clearing. ”Dreamingbloom, Mistlewhisker, Shadefrost, Darkcloud, come out here! I have something to tell you four!” the large enforcer yowled. He knew that he had to be a bit more proactive when it came to these kinds of things so that Dawnstar wouldn’t get too pissed with him. He could already tell that recent events did not paint him in a positive light, and that needed to change. Now. He may not be the head enforcer at the moment, but Dawnstar was giving him the opportunity to redeem his shortcomings as head guard. As such, the first thing he needed to do was obtain more guards. There would be no more kits being snatched from the camp, no intruders, and no harm befalling the clan.
[ @ChaosBringer. @Micanomancy @Levi 99 @The Doctor Darkfall will be approaching these four about possibly becoming guards for the camp. More details will be given in the next post, and this may or may not affect the enforcers' (and Dawn’s) opinions of whether or not they join their ranks. If you are unable to join and/or are not interested, send me a vm or pm letting me know!]

Mistlewhisker looked up from where she was patching up the elder's den, some moss sticking to the side of her muzzle. Was that... Darkfall? What could he possibly want with her? She didn't recognize any of the other names called alongside her own, so she couldn't possibly guess what he wanted. Quickly wiping the moss from her face, she made her way across the clearing to stand in front of him, her gaze impassive. "You called?"
Darkfall looked over the gathering cats, thankfully they hadn’t taken too long except for Shadefrost who seemed to intentionally be taking his sweet time. He expected as much from the older warrior, as the two didn’t particularly get along, but it was still pretty annoying nonetheless. Whatever, it was no use getting worked up over at the moment.
”Alright, Dawnstar agrees with me that we are in need of more guards and has recommended you four to join our ranks.” A pause, azure eyes scanning those in front of him, scrutinizingly studying their faces for some kind of reaction. ”This should go without saying, but as guards you will be in charge of nobody suspicious enters camp, nobody who shouldn’t leaves camp and doing patrols of the territory. We are the first line of defense, and it is our job to keep our clanmates safe and informed should any problems arise – I’d rather not have anymore kits taken from under our noses.” He explained with a bit of an edge to his voice, not mentioning that the stolen kit was one of his own.
”Of course, you don’t have to join us, I’d rather you not than be left in charge of this and not doing your job after all. However, if you do and you for whatever reason have an issue or questions you can direct them to me – the head guard, or Silverlark who is also an experienced guard or to Hawkbite and any future enforcers. Got it? Any questions, comments or concerns?”

About once a week/every other week you just need to have a post of your cat somewhere in the clearing saying that they’re guarding it, or doing a patrol out in one of the areas of the territory at least once to ensure no outsiders (i.e. anyone not on the Allegiances) is snooping about. Additionally, anyone who is attempting to sneak out of camp (like kits or lone apprentices) should be caught as well. Post size doesn’t matter as long as it’s done. ]

Wow, how long had it been?
Uhhh, six moons? Seven moons? It was something close to that? Should he feel bad for not knowing how old his own children were? Yes... But his excuse was age was overrated and he couldn't remember how old he was... Soooooo.... That made sense. Okay fine, no it didn't, but he definitely didn't care enough to think about it. He had tried his best, and it failed. Again. He kept in touch with Mothkit(?), the others disappeared- which mingled with Woolly's disappearance, made everything a hundred times worse. So that just left Glowingkit. Or Glowingpaw... Right he was an apprentice now. Cool. Anyway uh, how were supposed to approach your own child that you never really talked to? Huh, he didn't have a clue but it needed to be done... Somehow.
Deciding to just throw himself into the deep end, Vulturefang located his spawn from afar. Ugh, did he have to do this? Was it that necessary? He grew up without a dad, and he turned out fine! Deep down he knew that was a lie, and determined to try and change this kids future, he made the final decision. He had let Darkfall down, and he wasn't about to completely abandon this kid; not yet. So, growing a backbone, he approached.
" Heyyyy, kiddo... " he began, as soon as he reached an appropriate talking distance. " How ya been buddy? Ha, wow, I can't believe how big you've gotten! You're in the big leagues now, y'know.... Since you're an apprentice and everything? I bet that's fun... With all the training and stuff. " he grimaced at his own words. Jesus Christ.... Why was it so hard to talk to a child? Was the utter shame and guilt doing this to him? Yeah, probably. Eh, he couldn't do anything about it, so instead, he took a seat and looked awkwardly at his paws.

The molly's tail flicked as she saw a warrior approaching, curiosity sparkling in her eyes. She had not talked with the warrior and never noticed them except for a few times maybe seeing them around, so she was desperately trying to think of his name.. Ah, nevermind, he introduced himself. Fishflip. Well that was an interesting name, but she decided not to comment on it. He seemed pretty excited, which was good – she could pick up on their excitement as well! A grin appeared on her face. "Well, nice to meet you, mighty Fishflip! Yep, let's get going."
Palepaw followed him, making sure to continue beaming, because if the cat she was interacting with was eager she'd mirror it. Honestly she just adapted the way she acted to whoever she was talking to, but she did enjoy letting some of her excitement out. She wasn't one of those easily annoyed cats, she'd rather just please everyone instead of getting mad at them. Hm.. where should they head? The young apprentice fondly remembered her trip to Shadow's Break, and remembered they needed to cross Icy Heartlands to get there. That was perfect for cobwebs and moss! Possibly also some random plants they found along the way.
"I'd say we go to.. Shadow's Break! There we can collect some moss, maybe some random plants. And on our way back we need to go through Icy Heartlands anyways, so we can get cobwebs there! Is that alright?" she questioned eagerly.

Mistlewhisker, to her credit, didn't seem to react much at all to the news of her being recommended for a guard position. Her ear flicked in curiosity, and perhaps she straightened a little bit to appear taller, though.
Inside, however, was a whirl of questions and comments about why she had been chosen, would this lead to possibly joining the enforcers, didn't Dawnstar hate Darkfall and wasn't Shadefrost on her List so did that mean Mistlewhisker was on her List and oh none of that matters because she was finally, FINALLY being given a chance to prove herself.
When Darkfall finished, Mistlewhisker dipped her head calmly. "I would be honored." She meowed, her deep tenor soft yet firm. The guards in the clan were severely lacking, if kits and apprentices could go out into the territory any not be noticed. Mistlewhisker hoped to put an end to that, and being a guard was her best opportunity. Her frightening image could be put to some good use.

Huh. Wow. Would you look at that. His father, actually speaking to him?? Had Dawnstar suddenly kicked the bucket and Vulturefang just lost his mind due to the shock??
Glowingpaw turned away from the prey pile to look over his shoulder, brows arched in surprise for a split second before they dropped back into a very neutral expression. "Hello, Father." He didn't bother to hide the bitterness in his tone. "Great to see you finally. I've been fine; yes, I'm getting big; and yes, training will be fun. Lovely talk. I suppose we'll be doing this again in another four moons when you muster the willpower to speak to me again?"
