Mintkit wandered around the twoleg nest, gazing at everything with curiosity.

Rainsong eyes traveled away from her kits, noticed a tiny gray kitten. Her head tilted to the side, she stood up and walked over to the young kit. "Hi, little one...where is your parents?" she asked with a tilt of her head.

Nightshadow stood up and walked away from his sister, he padded over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed another fish. His ears moved back and forth listening to his Clanmates talk. He was quite hungry after hunting.

Otternose padded to the fresh kill pile, to grab something to eat. She grabbed a fish and a went to go to where she usually ate but wasn't paying attention to where she was going and bumped right into someone. She looked up. "Oh! I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention to where I was going . . .", she mewed.

Nightshadow growled as he felt someone bumped into him. He turned, ready to snap at the cat but when his eyes met Otternose he stopped. "Oh I'm sorry... no worries." He said, his cheeks turning bright pink. His blue eyes looked into hers.

Otternose felt awkward in this situation. She didn't know what to say or what to do. "Um-" was all she could get out. She really didn't know what to do here, so she just stared awkwardly.

The black and white tom saw that her and him were both in an awkward position and he dropped the fish. "Oh I'm sorry! I'm Nightshadow!" he said. Nightshadow thought he said it very softly but instead it came out in a blurted yell. Realizing what happened, his eyes widen. His ears went back and his cheeks went pink

Otternose smiled softly, glad that the awkward moment was over. "Nightshadow? That's a nice name. It suits you.. I'm Otternose . . ." she mewed softly. She didn't seem upset that he had just blurted out his name.

Nightshadow let out a purr. His blue eyes sparkled. "You have a beautiful name...." he said trailing off. He was awful around pretty she-cats. He looked away, then looked back and down at his fish, then up at her fish. "You like fish?"

Otternose blushed slightly.."Thank you but I'm actually trying to get it changed . . . I don't want to have a name practically r same as. . . well . . . my sister Ottersplash . . . I think you know what she did right?" she said. Her eyes had some hurt in them, maybe not because of what her sister was known for doing, but what she wasn't known for doing.

Mintkit was looking at a fern, just then, laden with dew. She dabbed a paw experimentally at it, and the fern bounced backwards, spraying droplets everywhere. She squeaked in surprise, leaping back, her gray fur bristling. She flicked her paw, which had gotten wet, drops spiraling off her gray-flecked fur. Mintkit looked back at the fern, which had stilled. It had less water on it than before. Woah... she thought. That was cool! Then she heard a soft voice speak to her, the presence of a big cat behind her. She looked back, and up, up up, at a gray-furred face with blue eyes, now facing towards the new cat. Her own pale-green eyes widened. A million questions raced through her head: Why did this cat come to her? Where had the cat come from? How had the cat appeared so suddenly? Why was she asking about my parents? Why did the cat have gray fur like hers? "U-Um," she finally squeaked out. She was desperate to ask all her questions, but something held her back. "I... D-Don't know?" she stammered. It was true, she didn't know. So why did she feel guilty, as if she did something wrong? "Why?" she whispered, almost fearfully.
