Sleepykit wasn't sure how much time had passed. But, her grandmama was looking for more... Enforcers, she said. And her mama had been an enforcer until she got granted the new role of medicine cat apprentice, and her grandmama surely would have qualified for enforcer had she not been leader, or have been one in the past - note that Sleepykit was most happy with her grandmama as leader however, as otherwise ShadowClan surely wouldn't be as it is now.
That said, the three-moon-old kitten had concluded that, despite the uncertainty of her future, she wanted to make her mama and grandmama proud. She wanted to follow in their paw steps and be as great as them, so she could stand at their side with pride. But that wasn't so easy; it wasn't just given and Sleepykit knew she'd have to work for it. So work for it she would. She was getting older now, so certainly mama would be alright with teaching her what she knows soon, certainly she'll be allowed to accompany the new medicine cat on her work.
But, until Sleepykit had the chance to ask her mama that, she had a different mission to complete: find out how to become an enforcer. Grandmama hadn't exactly given a guide on that, meaning that it must be up to the candidates to figure that out. Now, Sleepykit could've just asked Darkfall, the tom who thought he could keep her mama all to himself and supposedly act as her papa. But Sleepykit didn't feel like speaking to someone who only spoke nonsense; after all, she didn't have a papa, she never had. How could that suddenly change? So, Sleepykit went for the better option of the enforcer commander, meaning he commanded the enforcer and thus was, by as far as she could tell, the best enforcer.
Now, Sleepykit didn't know who this enforcer commander, or 'Hawkbite' as she recalled was, so she had to enlist the help of her assigned babysitter: Nightshiver. She recalled the queen's gentle smile as she pointed out the enforcer commander within the clearing, which posed a second issue. Sleepykit never left the nursery without her mama's permission. But, Nightshiver had assured her if it was for the sake of knowledge, surely her mama wouldn't mind her asking the enforcer a question if she didn't stray too far and csme right back. This reassured the kitten a little, who had also been told she could tell her mama Nightshiver had given her permission.
That's what brought her here, out in the far too busy clearing, approaching a scarred tom who she now knew to be the enforcer commander she'd been looking for. Approaching the imposing feline (though far not as imposing as her grandmama), Sleepykit deftly sat down and tilted her head, quietly waiting to be noticed. When and if Hawkbite did notice her, she did not stop to consider that perhaps she should introduce herself. Instead, little Sleepykit cut right to what brought her here, to the burning question that might very well dictate all her future endeavours: "How do I become an enforcer?"

'well- my mentor worked alone- but he ended up warming up to me and taught me wonderfully. I'm grateful for that".

"Oh huh.." Shadowpaw thought about it about that for a moment. Was her mentor going to be the same way? "I'm glad that he warmed up. Is he still aroun- Oh wait I'm sorry." Shadowpaw didn't think about how a question could hurt ones feeling.

"no its ok, he passed away some moons ago, he was older so i suspected it would happen soon enough. I miss him sure but he's up there watching over us now and i couldn't feel closer to him".

spottedfur padded out the elders den and went to lay down near the entrance. his eyes felt fuzzy..."....maybe...maybe starclan is real" he sighed and laid his head down "maybe...maybe my love is in starclan...hm..." he huffed with a small smile "well then foxfeather...lead me to your hunting grounds." spottedfur closed his eyes and his body grew limp. he blinked open his eyes and saw his lovely mate waiting for him. in realility his body laid motionless. in his sight. he saw his mate and he walked with his long forgotten mate to the afterlife. to starclan where he would watch his clanmates and hunt until forgotten.
