The scolding tone wasn't lost on Skylark and she bristled angrily but didn't raise her voice at the other warrior. Instead she reached out a paw, claws outstretched and snagged a wad of bracken between them. Padding over to the holes that gaped in the den she pushed it into the walls like she had been shown, keeping her gaze fixed on Nightwhisper the entire time. "See, look. I'm helping." Her expression seemed to say. She wasn't stupid, she could pick up on when a cat assumed she wasn't going to do work. It was true that she hated it, but what motivated her was pure spite. And if it got the job done then that couldn't be a bad thing now could it?

Though Nightgaze was still unsatisfied with Wolfhive's answer, there was work that needed to be done and dens that needed to be fixed. The leader's den was leaking, huh? Wasn't that a log? Well, she just supposed you'd pad it with moss and leaves and that would be alright, right? She'd figure it out.

It didn't take long to find the apprentices she'd been tasked with leading since they'd both already arrived at Bumblestar's den."Alrighty, Alpinepaw, Peachpaw, we're gonna need some leaves, mud and mabye moss if we end up needing some. Collect some and meet me by the leader's den. If you need any help make sure to give me a shout!" She listed off the materials wnd gave orders. Time to go find some leaves and mud!

Padding off towards some bushes, she carefully plucked a decent amount off, leaving some for the other repair teams in case they wanted to use it. The leaves were turning a bit orange around this time of year, but they should still work. Placing the bundle of leaves beside the leader's den, she went off to the side of camp where the rain had made the ground muddy and scooped out a few pawfuls of mud before returning and dropped it beside the leaves. Now she thought about it, cobwebs might have been better to stick the leaves together and moss certainly would have been good but they couldn't risk wasting resources so close to winter.

(Sorry for the lateness, I don't really know how to fix a leaky log but I think it's something like this??? ^^')

Nightwhisper could tell the she-cat was angry, her gaze telling him off as her work for of spite. The senior Tom didn't have time for this, young warriors always did everything out of spite and anger, they didn't know how to just put aside being scolded, hell he'd really scold her next time. "Don't be mad at me, you were ordered to do something and you were late, if Bumblestar calls you on patrol your going to be late and then try and spite your way out of it? No, so calm down, your not even in trouble, unless if that's the way you want to go." Nightwhisper meowed, his tone calm and his dark brown eyes narrowed. He flicked his tail, inviting no arguement as he turned back to the bracken, his paws weaving gently as his teeth bit off some extra pieces.

Maplekit dashed around camp, finding all the bestest, greenest leaves. The nursery would be the best repaired EVER!! All the other cats would be jealous of how good it looks, and she would make sure of it!

Sorry I’m late! It was my birthday yesterday and we were out doing stuff!

Alpinepaw looked over to Nightgaze and presumed that it was them. Then, Alpinepaw climbed onto a nearby rock and found some moss in front of her. She scraped/picked up the bundle of moss and headed back to the Leader's Den.

If this tom kept on talking he was going in the right direction to getting his ears clawed off! Skylark had to take a breath to at least attempt to calm herself before starting a reply to Nightwhisper's haughty sounding mew. Stars above, did he really have to be so pretentious? Cats like that were the ones who truly ruffled her fur, the ones who seemed to assume they were better than those around them. Still she didn't want to invite further bickering which would be detrimental to her task so she bit back the sharp retort she had been preparing and instead settled for a discontented huff as a reply, looking back down at her work as she continued to weave bracken into the nursery walls. She would show him by actually putting effort into her work, a rare occurrence for her, and make up for being late. If only to prove to him that she wasn't as lazy as he seemed to make her out to be.

Nightwhisper blinked, giving his tail a small, apologetic look as he caught his mate, Weepingwillow glaring at him and then looking at Skylark. "Sorry for being harsh....." He murmured as Weepingwillow flicked her tail patiently. Weepingwillow gave Skylark a gentle dip of her head and began to groom. Nightwhisper sighed and continued weaving the branches. "Alright, Burnedpaw and Maplekit are due back." Nightwhisper meowed,

Bracken, okay no problem. Burnedpaw headed for the camp entrance, and quickly found that Nightwhisper was right. Using teeth and claws, he gathered strong strips of bracken, as much as he could, and trailed it back to the nursery. He nodded at Nightwhispered instructions and set his haul down, looking for Maplekit. His ear swiveled when Skylark and Nightwhisper bickered, but he had no desire to eavesdrop or get involved, so it swiveled right back. He was only interested in the task at paw. He nodded at Maplekit as she returned.

"Okay, good." He mewed, touching the kit's shoulder with the tip of his tail to show his gratitude. "Now, Nightwhisper said something about flexible twigs too. Know where we can find some of that?" He asked the kit, not wanting to interrupt...whatever it was that was happening with the warriors right now.

She gave Weepingwillow a friendly nod back, accompanying it with a roll of her eyes as if to ask "What is he like?" She decided in that moment that she liked Nightwhisper's mate a lot more than she liked the tom himself, but didn't dwell on the conflict any longer. Looking over at Burnedpaw and Maplekit her smile widened into a genuine one, amusement flickering across her features as she watched them interact from a distance. They still seemed to be working through their tasks and she flicked her tail brusquely, "Maybe give them a little longer."

Snowpaw was already grabbing up sticks and piling them.
"I think we should definitely check for holes and gaps and fill in anything we see." Skunkridge responded to Cedarstrike "So herbs don't get messy and stuff."

He wasn't planning on touching the herbs or anything, obviously, just make sure no other random cats didn't touch them that weren't supposed to.

She already started looking for any damage around the den once they got close.
