@TheDragonGoddess Right, I was thinking about it the other day and I came to a different conclusion. A phobia is "an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something". For a cat to fear foxes is not an irrational thing, but it could become a phobia if it is too extreme and takes up all of the cat's mind / changes their behavior. A phobia is an anxiety disorder, so if your character has it it should reflect on everything about them: their thoughts, behavior, personality, choices... Also, I don't think that it should be diagnosed by the medicine cat but just recognized as a big problem that would likely get in the way of the character becoming a warrior. For example, for a thunderclan cat it would probably result in them doing everything they can to avoid going out of camp, hunting alone, patrolling etc.

do you have any resources on cats with albinism? mostly the affects it can have in other areas of their health. i know that with humans there are often visual issues (nystagmus, blurry vision, etc.) as well as skin sensitivities. i was wondering how that carried over to cats, and other health conditions that might be present.

@Wingnettle
It wasn't easy to find this information as it is a broad question within a narrow topic, but... I've found a website that seems to be reliable enough.
Please take a look at this link-> https://iloveveterinary.com/blog/alb...ifference/amp/

And I'll just give you a brief introduction to the topic.
Albinism is a genetic condition where the cat DNA has a rare mutation that prevents them from producing melanin. The main result is the lack of pigmentation in the whole cat's body so that the pelt is white and the eyes look blue, but there are also more "hidden" effects that may influence the risk/predisposition to certain diseases or conditions. For example, the website I linked above mentions immune system issues: this is because melanocytes (the only cells producing melanin) actually have a role in the immune system as well, not into pigmentation only.
Useful tip: this is a recessive mutation, this means that: the albino cat can have pigmented parents that are still carriers, and its kits will have a 50% to be albino if the mate is a carrier as well.
That said, I would rely on that source to have a general overview on the possible health problems of an albino cat.

If there's a particular situation you'd like to examine more in depth, feel free to ask

Not at the moment, but it would be helpful if any of them come up later.

i know its a weird question, But it's for Risingkit, he's VERY depressed to the point he nolonger cares about life in general

So... bulimia has never been documented and it is believed that cats cannot have it. The question might have started from the fact that a cat might stuff itself with food and then throw up, or simply throwing up more than usual. This symptoms are actually driven by other medical issues (Such as food intolerance, inflammatory bowel disease, parasites, liver/kidney/thyroid problems.

In your case, which is really extreme, if you would have to hold it realistical you'd have your cat stuff itself with food instead of starving itself. Of course the wc world is much humanised, but I would advise that you reach out to you clan leader and ask permission for this; not only because it's not realistical for a cat, but especially because this plot might be a huge triggering problem in this forum and would probably now allowed.
Instead, an alternative could be to have a depressed kit for some reason, and have lighter symptoms/behaviors coming from it. The kit might also be visited by the medicine cat for a possibile therapy (if the med cat's owner is okay with such content).
Keep in mind that these are triggering subjects and may be subjected to restrictions by the staff if they go too far!

I hope it helps. If you have any more questions, ask without problem
