Redkit nudged her back and nodded quickly. Moving to the other side of the den, he crouched in the corner and flicked his tail hoping she would understand him.

Deerwing slept in her nest, snoring loudly while her furry chest rose and fell. Ghostkit was positioned right in front of the sleeping queens nose, watching her intently. Why did xyr mother have to sleep so much? It left xem with nothing to do! Ghostkit didn't know any of the other kits well, and xe had never seen anyone like xemself! Ghostkit sighed loudly, hoping that the queen would hear xem and wake up. But, she just stayed soundly asleep. The genderless alien sighed again, louder.
