Russetpatch perked her ears when she heard pawsteps. She turned around, looking at the rustling bushes. "Emberpaw, stay behind me." She meowed when a dog jumped at them. Suddenly Falcondive was there. When the dog bit him, she would hiss at it and leap into battle to.

After burying the lizard, Falcondive was prepared to continue his hunt when the strong whiff of dog caught his attention. And then the sound of barking.

Deciding to track that instead, it did not take him long to discover the small but furious canine lunging out of the bushes at Russetpatch and Emberpaw. "Look out!" He hissed, springing into action to intercept between them, just in time for the dog to hit him in his side and snap down on his fur.

Honeysnake caught the sound of barking and cursed, dropping the bullfrog he’d caught and hastily kicking dust over it. The sound of yelling quickly made him abandon that effort and the tortoiseshell tom bounded through the undergrowth, pounding his paws into the ground as he raced toward his patrol mates. The warrior burst through the bushes to be faced with the dog- luckily not a massive one- and Falcondive. Russetpatch and Emberpaw seemed to be the focus until the dog bit Falcondive.

Hissing, Honeysnake leapt and landed on the beast’s back, digging his claws in deep. He ripped clawfuls of fur out until it’s snapping jaws twisted back and caught hold of his paw. It tore him from its back and threw him to the side, where he landed roughly against a rock.

Emberpaw let out a screech of terror. What the hell was a dog doing here?

The dog's grip on his side was almost immediately released with Russetpatch and Honeysnake joining the fray-- though Honeysnake was not long to stay with how he was chucked like a moldy piece of food.

The dog distracted by Russetpatch now and snapping at her, Falcondive snarled as he reared up on his legs and brought his weight crashing down on the canine's exposed back, using his unsheathed claws to cause some extra damage.

Lightbubble took this last bit of information, nodding and humming to himself. It seems that Fallenheart was a blank slate, no leads or anything for Lightbubble to start off of. "Well, makes things a bit harder for me, but I do like a challenge." The golden tom laughed, though his mind was already moving. Who were the warriors he'd grown up with as apprentices? They were all in his and Fallenheart's age range. He'd probably start there. And since Fallenheart wanted a family... possibly a she-cat? Yeah. That seemed to be what he was looking for.
As their walk back to the camp soon came to an end, Lightbubble turned, dipping his head to Fallenheart and sweeping his tail out in a flourish. "Well, looks like our little adventure today has come to an end. Thank you for graciously coming with me and being my protection and escort." He then straightened up, giving Fallenheart a little wink as he turned back to enter the camp. "I'll be on the lookout for your soulmate, should get back to you with some progress about it within the next moon. We should spend some time outside of my working hours sometime though, you seem like a pretty fine tomcat." Lightbubble gave a smile and a nod of his head, before disappearing back into the camp to begin his quiet research stage alone.

Russetpatch dodged the snapping jaws of the dog the first time, but with the second bite it got hold of her paw. She yelped and tried to bite the dog. Thankfully it let loose when Falcondive attacked again, and she was able to bite the dog's muzzle.

Emberpaw let out another screech and raced forward, flying past the dog and raking her claws down its side as she went. @MagicCat99

Honeysnake lay dazed for a moment before climbing to his paws. The tom shook his head with a hiss and jumped back into the fray, noticing Falcondive on the dog’s back. In order to give the other warrior some assistance in holding on, Honeysnake tried to snatch the dog’s attention away from trying to tear the cat off of its back. He darted forward and clawed the creature’s nose a few times, keeping it distracted.

Maplepaw walked into the forest, waiting for Blackpaw. He heard the sound of a dog barking, and called to Blackpaw. I hear a dog. Do you think someone is in trouble? @Mentallyunstable @Beau @BILL @~Splash~ @MagicCat99 (Should we go help, or stay out of it)

Thinking about snapping a bone made Littlepaw suck in a breath and grit his teeth. He wasn't unbalanced but he wasn't some chipmunk, either. His eyes glided over Lightbubble's stance when he crouched, trying to get a feel of his form before he straightened up again. "'s not a bluff." "Mmm hmm. And I'm not gorgeous." Lightbubble meowed in response, his way of telling Littlepaw he knew he was lying. Because Lightbubble was gorgeous, of course! That was like, one of his defining traits, at least as far as Lightbubble thought. As Littlepaw bent into a sloppy crouch though, Lightbubble padded forward. "Okay so now this, this is sloppy. You need to widen your stance and elongate your position." Lightbubble pushed Littlepaw's hind paws outward slightly so that his weight was more balanced. He then padded around the front and pulled the apprentice's paws forward, allowing for a longer stance and better weight balance throughout his entire body. "And your tail? While yes it's cute, prey isn't the thing you should be showing it off to." Lightbubble reached up and pulled Littlepaw's tail down with a paw, letting go of it right above the ground. "A hunter's crouch should be full of grace and poise and be showing off your superior hunting abilities." Lightbubble padded around to the front of Littlepaw, sweeping his tail with a flourish as he grinned. "Now how does that feel? Better?"

"Alright," Ribbitpaw said, eyeing the nearby rock that Mouseleap had indicated. Making sure he was in the proper position, the apprentice soon wiggled his haunches, and pushed off neatly with his hind legs, landing with his forepaws on the rock. Hopefully, the soft ground wouldn't carry any vibrations through to alert nearby prey.

Mouseleap nodded to her apprentice. “I believe you are ready to hunt. Don’t worry if you don’t catch anything, our lesson was a bit rush. Meet back with the others when you are done or we call you.” Mouseleap gave Ribbitpaw a wink and leapt after a frog. She crouched low and then pounced on the frog. She sat on the legs to make it now hop away and killed it. Mouseleap dragged it to a place to hide it and thanked Starclan.
