SQUIRRELRISE she/her. 16 moons. small, scarred russet molly with brown markings and yellow eyes.
[ chill of death, hulk SMASH ]
squirrelrise half listens to the announcements, mind drifting off somewhere else. perhaps the lack of sleep was catching up to her. so far, it was just apprentice ceremonies and reassignments. her bushy tail sweeps over her front paws, sniffling as a particularly cold breeze blows by. goodness, her fur was thick, but sometimes she wishes it was thicker.
she mentally tunes in when she hears gutspaw and birdpaw being called forward for their warrior ceremonies. yellow hues first land on the black tabby, then the arkchild. she feels..old. she swears it seems like just a few moons ago, all the arkchildren were babies. there were a lot more back then, too. she briefly glanced away when she catches movement out of the corner of her eye and spots a cat — quillpaw, she recognizes — stalking off with an ill tempered expression. her brows pinch together in worry. she has a, er...bad feeling regarding that tom. anyway. back onto the new to-be warriors.
she inhales, holding her breath in anticipation - instinctively, in a way. she only exhales when the names are given. gutsgnaw and birdecho. gnaw..it certainly fit bite in her opinion. she doesn't know birdecho very much, if at all, so she can't say the same for the molly. after cheering the two's names and the announcement of the lockdown being lifted - with the minor restriction of not being alone - she slips her way through the crowd, stopping beside guts.
"..c-congrats, gutsgnaw." squirrelrise congratulates with a small smile, voice a hushed whisper as to not disturb dawnstar if the leader just so happened to speak up again.
Blackkit looked at her father, Owlthroat. "Why is a Riverclan cat in our clan?" she asked with a tilt of her own head. "And why isn't she in her own clan? Dont we hate Riverclan cats. And are there more clans?" she had so many questions

The tom chuckled. ”She’s moved over to Shadowclan, some cat’s just can’t stick it out where they are”, Owlthroat’s tone was careful as to not give away his own prejudices but a sardonic smirk slipped through. ”There are four clans, us, Riverclan, Windclan and Thunderclan.”
He rasped his tongue once more over her little head.

Pondpaw listened to Owlthroat and Blackkit, her whiskers twitching irritably as her ears caught the black-and-white tom´s last sentence about her.
Some cats just don't stick it out where they are.
It wasn´t the words that made the former RiverClanner shrink back, no. It was the sardonic smirk on Owlthroat's face that she had caught sight of. It also suggested that he didn't want her here.
Hurt pooled in Pondpaw's gaze, and the young she-cat hid further in the shadows at Tuftedtusk's side, hanging her head. ´´Did you forget that I'm over here, Owlthroat?

Gutsgnaw and Birdecho. Two creative names for two unordinary warriors. Mistlewhisker tilted her head up as she called out their names. "Gutsgnaw, Birdecho!" As the new warriors were approached by friends and family, Mistlewhisker pushed herself to her paws and padded over to where Gutsgnaw was being congratulated by Squirrelrise. The Deputy looked down at the new warrior, quiet pride in her eyes. "Well done, Gutsgnaw. You deserve this." After training bite's brother, Mistlewhisker had followed Gutsgnaw throughout bite's journey, first as an invested bystander and then as bite's mentor. "Goopywhisker would be proud. I am, too." Teeth had grown up considerably, and had become skilled in many aspects of bite's training.
The Deputy sat beside Squirrelrise and Gutsgnaw, bringing her attention back to the Grimpeak as the Leader spoke again. The restriction was lifted, with the caveat that no one goes out alone. She also put Mourning Ruins off-limits. Mistlewhisker would have to keep that in mind when she put out patrols. She hoped the rest of the announcements were positive, as she did not wish for anything to put a dampener on Gutsgnaw's moment.

A new mentor…that wasn’t shocking. His last one was bound to fail, he had been sure of it. It just was…disappointing that it wasn’t whom he would have hoped it to be…but hey! He could still help with training! Yeah…now to find this new mentor…but she found him first. SootStorm. “Yeah. Okay.” He grumbled, not paying her much mind other than the customary nose touch. His gaze was still on the leader. He’d chant the cats names…but FishPaw…ugh…
Blackkit turned her gaze away from her father and over to where Pondpaw was hiding behind Tuftedtusk. "Well we are the best clan! Shadowclan is the best!" she squeaked proudly with a puff of her chest. "Right papa!" she her gaze shifted back to Owlthroat, her gaze then back to Pondpaw. She was wondering why the she-cat was hiding behind Tuftedtusk. "Why are you hiding behind my daddy!?" she asked with a tilt of her head.

Starlingcall frowns, looking over the crowd to try to spot its new apprentice, whiskers twitching. Is Wispypaw even here? Surely someone would help her traverse the crowd if she was. Much to Starlingcall's relief, it manages to spot Wispypaw amongst the crowd. Fur bristling, Starlingcall shoulders their way to the apprentice, side eyeing anyone who doesn't move out of its way. Once it manages to pad up to Wispypaw, Starlingcall dips its head out of habit.
"Hello, Wispypaw. I'm Starlingcall." Starlingcall says once it remembes the apprentice cannot see them bowing their head. "Training will begin immediately. Don't expect me to go easy on you with your training, I expect any apprentice of mine to be a powerful warrior," Starlingcall states, ears pushed forward. She will have an apprenticeship just as difficult as it had.

(lmk when you wanna set up a training thread! Starlingcall is so ready to teach Wispypaw how to be bloodthirsty hehehe)
Wispypaw You walk along the edge of danger + she/her[they/them to those she has told] + Heightened Perception [hearing, active]
They had been looking forward or at least hoped they were looking forward to where their sibling and some other cat were sitting. It did not matter anyway's in which direction they were facing, as long as they could hear what was being said they were dandy. Wispypaw never let anyone but family help direct them, family was fine but anyone else? That was weakness, and they sure as hell weren't going to be seen as a liability just because of their disability. The feline was pretty sure that they were doing fine as they were right now, they were after all pretty far into their training and hadn't any need for any crutch to help them.
Oh, look, their new mentor found them finally, they guessed showed they wanted to at least start some sort of interest. However, they still had doubts that this one would prove to be any better than their last mentor. Rasberryswirl had done the same before, greeted them, and then proceeded to ghost them. So far seemed a lot of the warriors just wanted the title of mentor but didn't want to put in the work for one. Wispypaw stayed facing in the direction they were in, not turning their head to face wherever Starlingcall was standing which was probably to the side. "Hmph, if you treated me like some kit I would have gone to grandma to seek a new mentor anyways" and maybe chop off their ear too while they were at it.
Look at this it was time to chant the new names of their sibling and the other cat they didn't care for. "Birdecho! Gutsgnaw!" they joined the few straggling chanters from the crowd, they might've been late to chanting but they still did it. That was one sibling so far that made it to warriorhood before dying, hopefully more of them would be joining her. Wispypaw had no care for the restrictions for leaving camp being lifted or whatever, they were an apprentice after all, and they couldn't leave by themselves regardless anyway's.
[ if you got any kind of extra training ideas that would be great! ]
