Honeysuckle walked up to the tom and sat down next to him wrapping her tail around her paws. "She will be fine." She meowed towards Slytiger nodding towards Dawnstar's den. "Trust me I know." Her eyes clouded with grief remembering her mate and her kit. "I know what it is like to feel worried." She cursed herself for letting Rabbitkit get away she had no clue where he was. "I don't think Thunderclan will be here so soon after the battle. I promise we will win the next one."

Blue-green eyes could be seen glowing in the dark entrance of the nursery. They were unblinking for a moment before the owner of the eyes stood up and started to wobble right out of the nursery. As the little big kit stepped out of the nursery the sun hit his charcoal gray pelt. Was this the outside? Hmmm, not as exciting as Spiralkit would have thought. The kit sat down next to the entrance of the nursery as he wrapped his fluffy tail around him.
"Ouuuuutsiiidee, Ouuuuutsiiiiideee"
Spiralkit hummed to himself as he leaned down and started to groom his gray and white tail.

Yawning miserably, Vulturefang slipped back into camp. Another patrol finished, a hundred more to go. It was a harsh cycle, no matter how hard he worked to complete duties for the day, more always tended to show up and force him back to work. Ugh, whatever, he supposed he could take a small break. Making his way to the warriors den, he paused mid step. Eyes catching the pelt of his one sons, the massive tom contemplated approaching the odd little being. He was a bit... Different from the bunch. Always doing something random while his siblings played about. Was this normal kit behavior? Maybe? Did he think the child was hella weird? Oh, absolutely, but in the end, that didn't stop him from padding up to Spiralkit.
His icy gaze roved across the smaller cat before clearing his throat and speaking up, " Uh, heya champ. Watcha up to?" Blinking down at his kit, he listened to the random humming that emitted from him. Allllrriiiight... This was probably completely normal. Weren't all kits scattered brained? Yeah, he was sure they were. Sitting down, he let the thoughts mingle in his head as he awaited a response.

Concern furrowed Mousepaw's brow, uncertain as to why she seemed so shocked. Gasp! Could it be that she hadn't known?! He'd thought it had been so obvious, he was the one who had taken too long in offering his nest building expertise. Why, even his mum used to love his nest repairs, yep yep. Granted, that might have been because that meant she no longer had to deal with those herself... but that wasn't the point here. The point was that he would make his auntie the best nest ever. Mmhmm.
Another cat had joined their talk. Darkfall, if he recalled correctly. Wasn't he one of the new guards? Yep yep, he was! Oh good, that meant that Auntie Larky and Darkydark got along already! That was good, that was good! Guards all getting along, which meant that maybe Darkydark would agree to helping him pick up some of Auntie Larky's chores during the first moon after she gave birth. Itty bitty kitties needed a lot of attention, they did. He'd learned that the hard way with his sister.
In yet more good news, Auntie Larky was accepting his offer of a super duper comfy nest! Victory! She would be the best rested queen in the entire nursery. "Yayayayayay! Let's get to it, then! We'll need a few pelts and feathers, but gratefully, I'm starving, heh heh. What do you think, Darkydark? Wanna join us for a meal? More pelts for comfy fur or more feathers for the nest. Auntie Larky deserves the best nest, right? Oh, but we should find a good spot for the nest first. Here! Here! I'll show you were our nest used to be. Actually! We might be lucky! Maybe me and... Maybe our old nest is still there. That one was really, really soft. I can just fix it up if you like it. Let's go, let's go!" Mousepaw cheered, beaming at the two warriors, blissfully unaware of any awkwardness that might linger in the air between them.

Yellowpaw
Quickly looking around as well, Yellowpaw saw no cat at first. To make sure, he brushed over the camp. Mousedu- oh look Ruepaw.well, crisis averted? "What about Ruepaw over there? " He peered over to get a better look at what Ruepaw was doing.

Larkfire
She/Her | Shadow Fiend & Beefed Up (T1) Purrk
Larkfire had almost completely been lost in thought, but she wasn't one to let her guard down so fully. When a figure began moving towards her, their stride brimming with exuberance, Larkfire's attention jerked towards said cat -- and then immedietly relaxed when she noted it was just Mousepaw. A warm smile pulled the corners of her mouth upward, eyes glinting with quiet affection as the apprentice greeted her.
His words, however, made little to no sense, and Lark's brow pulled down with bewilderment at his talk on... building nests? "Mousepaw, I don't-" She tried to cut in, but the tom just continued on, pointing out how she looked oh-so-tired (well, anyone who ran around doing what she did would be tired, right? lark wasn't so sure anymore) and ... best nests in the nursery? "What-"
It graced her then. Pure, undiluted shock, cascading over her like a bucket of icy water. Larkfire was so stunned that she let her entire wall of steel guard fall, expression betraying the flashes of emotion rocketing through her skull. Shock at the news, bewilderment at how she'd not noticed sooner, surprise that she hadn't expected it nor had thought to mention the chances to Prince, concern for her missing lover, agony in wondering if something ill-fated had befall him somewhere and she could no longer relay the information that he was to be a father, and lastly... Lastly, nervousness.
Anxiety rocked through her core, mouth snapping shut as she'd been openly gaping at Mousepaw. She was nervous, because she didn't know how to break the news to ShadowClan's Queen of Mean, her own mother. She was nervous, because now she wondered where she stood with a certain, alluring, blue-eyed tom.
Speak of the devil. As if her thoughts had conjured him, there Darkfall stood, his expression bordering on.. vaguely disappointed? Disappointed? In her? Did he know what she'd done with an outsider? How she'd broken ShadowClan's supposed warrior code? The thought made her nervous, made her feel small. Ah... Well, this was embarrassing. "Congratulations." She repeated dumbly, at a complete loss for words. After a moment, Larkfire grimaced, fur bristling self-consciously as she shot Mousepaw a bewildered side-glance. How he had guessed before she even had was beyond her.
"I... Thank you..?" The lithe female swallowed. She couldn't exactly say she didn't have a mate, not exactly, because that would regardless raise questions about the father. She couldn't even say he wasn't in ShadowClan. That. too, would start rounds of questionnaire that she really wanted to avoid. It wouldn't be long, though, before Larkfire had her kits (she was having kits?!?! that news still hadn't sunk in) and no tom came around to dote on them. Then what? Was she to ignore the probing stares and just pretend all was normal?
Gah, she needed to think. And to get away from Darkfall's eyes. They were too blue. Unnaturally blue. Those eyes stared at her funny, made her feel like a wayward kitten. Realizing that she was very much staring, Larkfire jerked her head towards Mousepaw so fast she almost gave herself whiplash. "I think nest-building sounds great." She said quickly, a bit breathless in her haste to escape the moment. Wait... she already had a nest, in the warrior's den. She could just drag that one over...
Oh well.

Darkydark? Well, that was a new one. Just how did the apprentice come up with that? And what was up with all of this energy? Did all of the younger cats act like they'd bounce across the walls of the cliffs? Just the thought of it was enough to make him feel like he was getting old (he's only 19 moons).
Put on the spot by Mousepaw’s next question, Darkfall blanched. He wanted him to do what exactly? Oh no. No no no no. There was absolutely no way that he was going to be doing any nest building right now. The awkward atmosphere felt so thick that a simple swipe of his claws could cut through it.
Awkwardly smiling, Darkfall gently shook his head before saying ”I’m really sorry Mousepaw, but I can’t help out today or share a meal. I just remembered that I promised er… Vulturefang? Yes, Vulturefang! I promised him I’d go out and do a bit of hunting! Yup, so I’ve got to go. Perhaps some other time?” Okay, well, that was a big fat lie. Was it believable enough? ? Probably not, but he didn’t care. The way that Larkfire had stared at him made him extremely uncomfortable, and the topic of conversation was so unbelievably awkward. He needed to leave. He had to get out of there, now.
Giving that same awkward smile, the tom nodded to each of them once more and then (a little too) quickly walked away and out of the camp. He wasn’t going to go far, perhaps to the nearest pine tree and double back a couple of times before coming back into the camp should the duo talking be elsewhere. He needed some time to clear his head and actually process what just happened.

Chirppaw smiled as he glanced back I know we’re not allowed to leave camp but I just can’t help exploring what about you deerpaw? he meowed calmly. If beartooth catches me I’m so dead though… padding for a while in silence he took glimpses of the surroundings in. It’s all just shadows and darkness..how disgusting. he sighed as he stopped walking. Do you ever…want to be free deerpaw? Free of the darkness and violence?

That was... an interesting question. Did they want to be free? After all, this was his home, could he leave it all behind if he was given the choice? Would he be willing to abandon these cats? "Mmm, I guess sometimes," they answered, though somehow just the thought of that made their stomach twist in guilt. "But this is my home, I can't just leave them behind."
