Sproutfleck's green eyes moved from the Itty bitty kid clinging to him to the medicine den. This kid had problems and for the record Sprouts-a-lot was never good with kids, so in his eyes therapy would do him best. "Alright, Pinepaw, uh, I'll just be taking you to the medicine den to calm down.." He said awkwardly. In fact, when he stood up and started walking the kid was so latched to him that he stayed on like a tick when he walked. Oh stars. Ow- that was his- OW. But despite this he managed to awkwardly carry him off to the den, green eyes desperately fixated on the healers abode. After the who drama in the clearing with the so called rebels Pinepaw had seemingly had some sort of panic attack and attached to him. And none of his horrible jokes worked to cheer him up. Damn. "Anyone in here?" He grunted, shifting so he would force the kid onto his back. "This Kiddo- Pinepaw- had some sort of panic when the idiots who call themselves rebels went ballistic- or tried to- and I have no idea what im supposed to do. He isn't calming down too well." He huffed, looking into the den. OW- geez, that was his fur! Poor kid. "Alright, kiddo." He mewed, turning to bop him with his nose. "Rides over." UH uh what if he didn't get off? The Bronze Knight was incapable of hauling Pinepaw around all day. And so the spotted cat Uber had to get him to calm down.. somehow..

Well. He really needed to stop coming in here. It meant nothing but trouble. Did they really have this many pregnant queens? He should have acted like he didn't listen, really. He knew next to nothin about birth giving in terms of herbs. At least he doesn't remember too much. But he couldn't the moment he let out a gruff "Wha-" before cutting himself off mid sentence.
"Ain't Springlight but I'm assumin you're about ready for a family." a heavy tone of unwillingness hanging from each word. His shoulders didn't sag, nor did his expression. Kit delivery was pretty serious, had to make sure the mother was comfortable and somewhat relaxed. Stress was an awful killer.
Shuffling through what little supplies the Medicine Cat had, Spiderthroat found berries. They weren't deathberries thank God. They weren't Poppyseeds either though. A pause as Spiderthroat sniffed, inspecting closely. They didn't smell pungent, nor sour. Springlight wasn't stupid enough to hold onto anything poisonous either. After a moment of Lag the Calico gave the Queen one to chew and swallow, his trust shining through in the medicine cat by giving the Queen a berry he'd barely recognized. "Start by takin this, and than layin down on a nest of your choosin. I'll find you a stick, you'll probably need it."

He made eye contact with the warrior the moment they'd walked in. He was cleaning the blood off of his own paws. Not much he was just cleaning off what he'd stepped in. Ah. Weak minded individuals. Did none of them realize that becoming a Warrior came with blood, death and gore? Maybe they needed a training lesson about that...for all of them.
Spiderthroat simply stood there, blood on his paws, blankly staring at the duo before taking a step forwards. Aiming to snatch the kit by the scruff and simply yank, he'd give the poor sap cobwebs if the young one clung a little too tight. If he'd managed to detatch the Apprentice, the deputy would than simply place him down in a nest, and cover with a mossy blanket, a thick lookin one.

He watched as she began to pace. Letting out a sigh and absentmindedly guiding her towards a nest, his tail hovering just behind her own in an attempt to guide her to lay down.
"I don't care." he deadpanned. "Eat the berries I gave you or get out. If you want help and to live, I suggest you lay down." simple, really.
"Whether you're ready or not, you're havin these kits. Or you're just real -" a pause as he attempted to be kinder with his wording. Picking them gently. She's stressed, just because it's making him angry doesn't mean she's gotta deal with it. "Well fed." perfect.

It had been awhile since she had visited Elkpaw, and part of that was because of her own guilt. She was no great mentor anymore, not with how her paw was. She had sunk so far into the pool of self-pity that she had become blind to her apprentices - she hadn't even taken Brindlepaw out, for stars sake! Redhawk chastised herself silently as she crossed camp with a rabbit hanging from her jaws. Hopefully... the young tom wouldn't be mad with her - but she would understand if he was.
"E-Elkpaaaw?" the reddish-brown hornet called as she poked her head into the medicine den. He was still resting here after everything, right? Even with the disappearance of Springlight she figured he'd be in here, maybe even almost done with his stay. Limping the rest of the way in and keeping off her twisted paw, Red glanced around until she found him in a nearby nest, flank rising and falling. Hesitantly she approached him and set the rabbit down gently. Should she wake him? What if he needed the sleep? "...Um, I b-brought a r-r-rabbit if you wanted t-to sss-share...?"

Once things were... more situated, in the nursery, Wolfhive had staggered out. He still felt very nauseous from the whole ordeal and left camp briefly to throw up in some bush. He tried to cover it up but was too out of it to do a super amazing job.
When he returned to camp, his Bumba radar was going off and all he wanted was to burrow beneath her like he'd do when he was younger. He was upset; though the kits were OK, the loss of Briarberry was hitting him hard. "Ma..."
He probably looked like hell, paws plastered mostly in blood and visibly shaking when he entered the den. Through his daze he had caught her scent - he didn't fully see what she was doing, but she probably was checking on the herb supply - and he immediately made a beeline for her side. It was purely instinct; the need to be close to his mother n get comfort from her and her scent. "It.. Briarberry.. she's.." He failed, plain and simple. There was a reason he was no medicine cat n perhaps if he had left her he could've found someone more suitable to help. But would she have died alone, in pain? Would the stuck kitten have lived? "... she..." Like a broken record he was in a loop, unable to get out the words he needed.
Following the meeting, Hollowpaw slunk into the medicine den to speak with Bumblestar, his mind still reeling from the events. He’d never quite been so thrown off kilter as he had today that it left him almost dizzy with the overload of information. He still wasn’t really sure what the point of keeping his position a secret from the other clans would be… was it because he still wasn’t six moons old? Would the other clans use that as a reason to try and kill him? Seriously? Or was it simply the fact that both med positions were filled by apprentices that made Bumblestar want to keep him hidden away? If that was the case, did that mean that he had to wait until Wolfpaw received his full name in order to be announced, and, in that case, was he going to be announced as a new medicine apprentice instead of acknowledging that he’s held this position the whole time?
And what about gatherings and half-moon meetings? Was he to be barred from those, or only allowed at gatherings under the guise of a warrior apprentice - Spiderthroat's apprentice, he remembers the cover story.
The logistics of it all didn’t really click together for him - at least not on his own, not without hearing Bumblestar’s full thought process on the matter at least. Which he was quite interested to know about.
The medicine den itself smells strongly of herbs (of course it does), but lots of the scents seem almost stale, old, even as other, stronger scents overwhelm them, and Hollowpaw pokes around for a minute to see where the stores are. He’d never been in here before, he’d never had a reason to, so it takes him a moment before he finds the storage. What he sees looks to him like just a collection of plants and some seeds. None of these plants have a name to him yet, and Hollowpaw realizes, for the first time, the weight of this position he’s been given, this position he never fully accepted but somehow feels obligated to excel in. There’s a lot to learn… does Wolfpaw know anything more than him? Would the two of them be allowed to ask Drizzlecloud for help getting started? She might be a warrior now, but surely that would be allowed? …another question for Bumblestar, Hollowpaw supposes. For now, he sits uncomfortably in the middle of the den, fur prickling with the strange feeling of responsibility he didn’t know he wanted until it was given to him.

Once all of... that finished, Wolfpaw made his way to the Medicine Den. He lost his leg here, and now he was living here. Strange. Within just a few minutes, Wolfpaw's entire life had changed. He was a medicine cat. No mentor, Just a training buddy. This was going to be...a lot. Green eyes bounced between Bumblestar and Hollowpaw, his mind racing. So many things he wanted to say. So many questions. But he just... couldn't. How could he? Being the clan's Medicine Cat at six moons old when his baby brother is already a warrior, and training alongside a 4-moon old cat with no adult to mentor them in the ways of a medicine cat. Just... so much.
Green hues glanced around the den, how was this happening? Everything was fine up until Springlight was killed. And now here he was. A six moon apprentice who was Medicine Cat, wondering how on earth StarClan got here. Just moments ago he promised that he would be a good warrior, only for him to find this out. Just...how?
After a bit of silence, the Medicine Cat spoke up. "Why. Why me? Why Hollowpaw? Why any of this? I just... I'm so confused. What makes me and Hollowpaw the best option? We're apprentices? And what happened when you were about to announce medicine cats, only for you to have a 'change in plans', what does that mean?" he finally blurted out. It took a moment for wolfpaw to process, and realize "I-Uh, sorry. I'm just... confused. At all of this," he muttered, shuffling his paws before laying down, putting his tail over his stump as he normally does, ears pinned back. I wish you were here, mama. You would have made everything better he thought. Where did mama go? Where did his siblings go? Why did only Flamesurge return?
So many questions, but no answers.
