That was an eerie name, isn't it? Rainpaw thought to herself as she padded from the corner of the new camp to sit below the new meeting spot. Her gaze danced around, looking for her family and her mentor. So far, she'd only seen a couple of her siblings. That was okay. That was better than no one. Had anyone seen Amberfern though?

Fogwatcher padded from the center of the clearing, taking a seat beside the pretty kitty. The silver and white splotched feline found himself nudging the medicine cat with a welcoming smile. He'd warmed up to Mossfreckle recently, revealing a lighthearted version of himself to the feline. "I hope you've been settling in well," Fogwatcher made the comment with a low chirp.

Miss Grandmama called a meeting. Blue hues lifted to watch the large feline escalade the cedar tree - the Grimpeak, as it seemed - using those familiar to call together the clan for a meeting. To discuss current changes and situations, she presumed - the is likely to be a topic, however brief. Sleepypaw gave a slow blink as she watched her grandmother up high, rising from her perch near the leader's den and approaching with attention ears and eyes for the meeting, seating herself when few had yet to arrive. Her paws neatly kept together and the usual silence that overfell her when meetings were in session, she patiently awaited for the meeting to begin.
Gracklepaw was having no time adjusting to the new territory and the new camp. Back before his Clan days he was always on the move. Sometimes he had a shelter, and sometimes he'd sleep under the stars. Sometimes he'd sleep in the city, sometimes out in the forest. He was no stranger to change. He was accustomed to it. He was a wanderer at heart, though he'd given up that life to live out his dreams of being a part of a Clan. Now he was a part of one. Not just any one. The best one.
Grimspeak was pretty cool. Eerie name though. It was all spooky and eerie too! So it fit the vibe. ShadowClan cats liked stuff like that, even if Gracklepaw wasn't the biggest fan. It looked all ancient and mossy with lots of fungi. Very different from the Shadowledge. But a good different!
He stared up at it with a grin, and curious eyes, watching Dawnstar as she stood so proudly. She was so cool. One day he'd get to stand up there too to get his warrior name... although that seemed like it was a million moons away! He was already 12 moons! Older than a lot of the others!! He'd have to scope out cats for more training, and Slytiger too.
His blue eyes scanned the crowd for that familiar half toned pelt. Half a sandy blonde. Half dark black. It wasn't hard to find. She was short and had a unique pelt, plus there were few cats gathered. "Magpiepaw!" He cheered as he joined her side. He was getting taller. And she was still short. The height gal made him chuckle.

"Why pick them when I can do it so much better?"
Man, one of these days she'd be slitting a cats throat instead of a--- "Gracklepaw! Aye bud!" Magpiepaw smiled widely. She wondered where he had been at the last meeting. Perhaps she hadn't seen him. Which should've been IMPOSSIBLE. But, his outsider scent was certainly fading away and it was harder to recognize her friend by purely that. She was almost sad to know that his outsider smell was leaving his pelt, that's what made Gracklepaw, Gracklepaw.
Also, he wasn't getting any shorter, so she had so crane her neck a good amount to face him properly, but even then her eyes were only able to reach his nose. Un. Fair. "Sit down you stick bug! I can't look at you properly." She grumbled, reaching up to pull her round face to her level. "There! Now you have to do that everytime you address me or I won't respond." Magpiepaw said matter-a-factly, her chin tilting up ever so slightly.
"Almost done with training?" She asked. Well, she sure as heck wasn't. Ugh, why did everything have to be so slowwwww. "Oh oh! Have you fought anything yet? Thinking about joining that Riverclan raid?" She was practically jumping up and down. Wouldn't that be so cool? Actually being able to be in the heat of battle and blood and gore and all that awesome stuff!!

The burly tom moved towards the towering tree trunk, his fur swaying. It had been a long tiresome day. His muscles ached from the strain of the work, he had spent the day building defences and walls securing their new home. He was ready for rest, but Dawnstar beckoned them all forth.
He curled his inky tail around his paws as he lowered his haunches and sat. He was far too exhausted to think straight.
Fogpaw trots over and sits. A yawn escapes his jaw and he flicks his tail. He couldn’t sleep. That feeling of unease in a new place hasn’t shown any sign of leaving, and Fogpaw hates it.

As more and more cats gathered around the Grimpeak, Cloverkit's green hues flickered around to find a cat to interact with. Her gaze landed on an apprentice - R/ainpaw. The brown tabby trotted over, a wide grin on her face. "Heya! My name is Cloverkit!" she mewed happily, sitting down next to the apprentice. "Waddya think Miss Dawnstar is gonna talk about this meeting? Why do you think she named it the Grimpeak? What does 'Grim' mean anyway?" he asked, bombarding the apprentice with his usual many questions. Without waiting for a response, Cloverkit continued. "Too bad we had to move camps. I really liked my old nest. This isn't the same. I don't like it. It's different in a bad way. It's weird. What do you think of the new camp? Were you born in the old camp like me? Didja like it there better? I liked it better," He chattered, green eyes flicking from Dawnstar to random cats to R/ainpaw and back. Meetings were boring, but it was nice to have a meeting friend!!

got to her paws and slinked over.
I wonder what the meeting
is going to be about... Shadekit thought.
She settled herself near the back of the group,
letting the shadows fall over her pelt.
Her amber eyes thoughtfully gleamed from
the darkness.
Grimpeak... an interesting choice of name.
She shivered, thinking that the name
itself seemed like a bad omen. It's just a name,
she scolded herself. Just because
something was named something eerie,
it doesn't mean it's automatically bad.
She was behaving like a frightened kit.
Shadekit shook herself, and turned her eyes to Dawnstar.
Nightshiver quietly joined the meeting, hovering close to the nursery as she always did. The new camp felt so different, so strange - but this is how it was, she had accepted it within her mind. She only hoped the kittens and young apprentices would be able to adapt well enough.
