Shadowkit was knocked over by the mossball, and he fell over on to the ground. "Oof!" He squeaked in surprise.

Ravenshade shot to his side and balanced him, her eyes full of concern. It was a weird thing to see from a ferocious looking cat such as her.

After a few moments, Shadowkit fell asleep, his fluffy tail draped over his nose.

Ravenshade smiled at the tiny bundle. So this is what it felt like. Maybe she would take in the kit, raise him. She would have to bring it up with Lionstar. But in the meantime, she would stay here and comfort the poor kit. And no matter what he said, Shadowkit was indeed, very darn cute.
