Sagepaw found slight amusement in the way the kit had startled, but he outright laughed at their expression. "Okay, then," he said, bounding out of his nest and settling down before the kit. "Y'know what? I hope you become an apprentice soon. You seem like a fun cat. But really, what are you doing?" The tom peeked over at the vacant nest, blinking in surprise at the lack of leaves. His green gaze flickered back to the kit. Uh? Oh! Ohhhhh. Sagepaw understood now. Had the kit eaten the leaves? He actually had no idea.

Well, at least the apprentice thought he was fun... even if Autumnkit was unsure of what prompted that idea. Sighing, he brought up a claw and pointed it to his mouth, then shook his head. Can't talk, he hoped the gesture explained. Then Sagepaw could stop asking him questions where he'd have to speak.
And wait, did Sagepaw just laugh at him? Autumnkit huffed, unsure of whether to feel offended- so he settled for padding over, leaning up and whacking Sagepaw over the ear. Autumnkit wasn't trying to be funny! He was trying to be sneaky! But now everything was just awkward...

The movements continued for a moment or two more before he gave a snort and jolted awake at the sound of his sister.
Green eyes blinked slowly at her before the massive tom rolled himself over and moved into a half sitting half lying position. "Training. Is good." It wasn't just Dawnstar training him, as the tom recalled having gone out with Spiderfang before, as well as Vixensnarl. He blinked again, feeling like something was off. "Yes. Train. Together." Lifting a paw he aimed to press it against his sisters chest before retracting it back into himself. They could train together - they were both reaching the age of becoming warriors too, maybe they could ask to have their assessment done?

Frigidpaw suppressed a little laugh as Roanpaw woke up from whatever he had Bern dreaming about. It seemed that, unlike her, most of his dreams weren't nightmares.
She wasn't surprised that his training was food. After all, their grandmother was the best.
"Vixensnarl has been training me okay, but not enough for my liking. I want to work on fighting more. Grandmother probably trained day and night to get this good." she explained, flicking her tail.
She looked down at her chest as he...poked her??? Her brother was weird, but it felt like a positive thing. He had his own was of expression, unlike her expression, which involved screaming at everyone.
"...Do you think dad's still out there somewhere."

Re: ShadowClan Apprentices' Den
Hrm. Some sort of unknown emotion flared within him as his sister detailed that her training wasn't going as well as she would've liked. It was conflicting though, because Roanpaw knew their aunt to be swift and thorough. Nonetheless, despite his often misreading of social cues and inability to participate in a majority of his denmates activities, the larger tom understood that this bothered her greatly.
So, in an akward shuffle, Roanpaw scooted closer to Frigidpaw. Slowly he put both of his paws on her shoulder, blinked... and then proceeded to headbutt her gently against her own head. "Tough. Strong. Warrior." That's what she was, at least to him. Pulling back he gave a firm nod before placing his paws on the ground.
Dad? To be quite honest, Roanpaw had not given much thought to their father. He remembered his name; Redshrike. That was about it. There wasn't much for him to go off of since he hadn't known him all that long, really. "Away." He glanced towards the den entrance, speaking as if it was a matter of fact; their dad had gone away, and wherever he was, it wasn't here.

For a moment, Sagepaw was wondering what kind of trick the kit was doing with his paws. He tilted his head the other way, trying to puzzle it out. Hopefully, the answer would come easy before he fried his mind...aha! This kit couldn't talk, right? The apprentice assumed so, hoped so, and nodded to display his understanding, making an "ohhh" sound as he did so.
Sagepaw blinked in utter surprise and confusion. "Hey, why'd ya hit me?! I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Don't hit me again-" the apprentice wailed dramatically, pretending to faint from distress before righting himself. His mind had already flitted to the idea of the leaves again. "Say, did you put those leaves in that nest?" He asked, his gaze sharpening with curiosity. "Uhm, nod yes if...yeah. You've got this more figured out than me, I bet," he rambled uselessly, yet he still leaned forward, eager for any nonverbal answer the kit would provide.
sorry that this took so long to reply to

Re: ShadowClan Apprentices' Den
It had been awhile since Mirehound had seen one of her apprentices, Ravenpaw, in camp. She was worried for the young tom and so she ducked her head into the apprentices' den. Blue eyes illuminated in the dim lighting she glanced this way and that before determining he wasn't in here - even the scent in his nest was stale.
A low, soft growl of frustration before she backed out and gave a lash of her tail, looking around. Where was he??

Darkpaw sits quietly in the den. He watches others come and go, he has no interest in interacting with anyone.
He quite liked the quiet of being alone. But sometimes being alone let him think too deeply into his dark thoughts.
He needs someone to get him out, he knows that but he doesn't want to admit it. He doesn't want someone else to care for.

Re: ShadowClan Apprentices' Den
Mousekit
Sneaking around camp, going from shadow to shadow in his usual, playful manner, Mousekit had a goal in mind today, oh yes. You see! You see... he had been told, he had he had! That he was going to be an apprentice soon! Gasp! This was exciting, and fun! Because that meant... he got to go out of camp again soon, yay! And plus, plus, he would be one of the big cats soon. Not one of the old cats though, by golly no. The old cats were old old, and not too fun. Except Fuzzy and Auntie Larky, those were fun fun fun. But no, he was meeting with the big cats. The ones that were still fun. The apprentices! This meant more friends, yes? Yes it did, it did! But then... Mousekit realized one very important thing...
He had no idea who any of the apprentices in the clan were! Mutter mutter mutter. How could he make friends if he didn't know them?! A flaw in his plan already, and it had not been put to motion yet! Sadness! A tragedy! No matter, no matter. Mousekit would fix that now! He would get all the intel. Find out what the apprentices' den was like - hopefully with a nice, tall roof that didn't feel like it was going to crush you - and maybe even meet some future friends along the way? Victory!
White dipped toes entering the forbidden den, Mousekit took one final look to his back, realizing no one seemed to be noticing him before he went in, verdant eyes blinking momentarily as they got used to the darkness. At first glance, the den was quite similar to the nursery, if he was going to be honest. Just nests and the scent of many cats together. There was no milk scent, however, and the den wasn't quite as warm. He supposed that made sense. There were no mums here. Everyone knew mums were the warmest, bestest cats around. Not allowing this to deter his quest, his adventure, his this-is-not-playtime-I-am-doing-important-research-fight-me carried on, noticing that the den was... awfully empty.
Oh... Rounded ears perking up as this fact dawned upon him, Mousekit held himself higher, the crouch no longer needed as he looked around to further examine the place. Truth be told, he was a little disappointed. This was... not going as planned, meh meh meh. No super duper ultra secret uncovered, and no friends made. Hmph. Hmph.
The monochrome kit had a good mind to turn around and head outside to play. In fact, he had been doing just so, when his gaze landed on what appeared to be... a bundle of dark, black fur. Was... was that his Fuzzy? Gasp! No no no, silly silly! That wasn't Fuzzy! That was a different cat, it was, it was. An apprentice, yay yay yay. New friend, new friend! But why was he so alone in the corner? Oh no, had his friends left him all alone for the day? Well, Mousekit would just have to go fix that, wouldn't he? Hindquarters wiggling in excitement, the stocky tom leaped forward, doing little pounces on his way towards his new - currently lonely - friend.
"Hello hello! How do you do? My name is Mousekit. Pleased to meet you!"

Re: ShadowClan Apprentices' Den
Darkpaw turned to look at the kit. "The name's Darkpaw," He said simply, with no interest in his voice.
What is a kit doing here? He looked at the young cat. "What's a kit like you doing here?"
