risingstorm walked in and started to clear away the mess, as his green eyes landed on copperpaw the hornet watched for a moment as antpaw. Rising walked up " Copperpaw, please move to the elders den or get your butt up and help." he said a slight sharp hint in his tone.It was better to have extra paws then to many paws in the way.

The hornet turned back to his group studying the collapsed den squinting his green eyes. the ground was far to muddy and soft to build on the left side. The hornet looked ont the other side placing his paw into the ground, I fet more stable If that made since " okay!" he meowed turning around ""So we are gonna rebuild on the other side, its far to flooded to rebuild in the same area" he waved his brown paw at the muddy pit of the former apprentices den. The hornet looked back " let's grab some strong sticks then we can rebuild, sound good?" he finished with a question.

"Sounds good to me." Antpaw grouches. "Finally."

Antpaw picks up some of the sticks that they just cleared out, and waits for the warriors to move ahead first, so that he can copy the way they fix the walls of the apprentice den. Hopefully this would be over soon.

The den was in ruins. Sticks were strewn across the muddy ground, some laying in puddles that still hadn't dried even after several days. Antpaw, Porcupinesilk and Brindlepaw were already at work, and Mallowpaw joined them, dragging the bigger pieces of debris out of the area. She lifted her head when she heard Brindlepaw asking for assistance moving a large branch. Although Mallowpaw wasn't at full strength, she was fully grown, and between the two of them dislodging it wouldn't be difficult. But before she could move to help, Beachpaw was there. Her gaze lingered on them for a moment, seeing if they needed a third set of paws, but they were making good progress on their own. Ignoring the flicker of disappointment in her chest, Mallowpaw turned her attention back to the sticks in front of her. She could still help out this way.

Eventually, the debris had been cleared, and now it was time to start rebuilding. She had no idea how to do it; she doubted any of the apprentices did. It was Antpaw who asked the warriors, and Porcupinesilk commented that if they tried to rebuild it here, the walls would collapse again. It made sense; the ground was a mud pit. It probably wouldn't be able to support the structure.

Risingstorm suggested they rebuilt on the other side. Mallowpaw nodded and dragged some sturdy-looking sticks they had cleared out to the opposite side of the scorched tree. She still didn't know how to actually do it, but she was sure the warriors would show them.

It seemed like their nominal leader (though Brindlepaw would have bet Antpaw fancied himself in that role, apprentice or not) had decided the den would be built on the other side of the scorched tree. He didn't particularly care, but he might have liked to know before he had dragged large branches farther away from the new location, not closer. Whatever. Brindlepaw began muscling them back towards the scorched tree, this time to the drier patch. He also brought a few, medium sized rocks from the original den site. After what had happened last time he had no desire to risk branches shifting leading to a roof collapse. He wedged the large sticks between the rocks, propping them up so that other cats could use smaller sticks and whatnot between them to start making the actual walls of the den. His paws might be a bit too large and clumsy for that sort of thing. @Fawn @Spider. @HerbalTea @Badwolf @kittycatburmise
