Re: ShadowClan Leader's Den
@ spade
The woes and troubles that came with being a clan leader. Dawnstar retreated to her den, claws scraping along the soft ground that turned almost sandy the further back she walked into her den. As dark and relaxing as her den was, Dawnstar rarely spent too much time here. When night came, the shadows called, enticing her to dance along the forest floor in their embrace. During the day, she was often found patrolling her territory and ripping up loners and kittypets who just didn't get the message to stay out.
She slept whenever her body urged her too and her eyelids felt too heavy to keep open, although she was still not super fond of climbing, loving the shadows compared to the high branches, the rough bark, and sharp pine needles, the trees proved to a safe haven when she wanted to nap. Even so, there was no place like her den when it comes to comfort.
As she took to sitting, her eyes stared at the opening where what little light spilled into the giving those less familiar with darkness a means of sight. A familiar shape stepped inside, cutting out the light momentarily and bathing her den in complete darkness for a split second. "Everything that comes out of my mouth is wonderful, mutt," Dawnstar replied in a witty tone as soon as she picked up Grimhound's scent, gaze clinging to the pelt he was carrying around. She had noticed him playing with something during the meeting but hadn't cared enough to look into it. Her pupils slit as she stared long and hard at the familiar coat, recognition eventually sparks in her eyes after the comment about her nest.
"You actually got me a bunny pelt?" Shock was evident in her tone as she blinks her eyes before she set herself straight. "I was half jesting, you know." Next to Ravenpaw's gift of that skull, this might be one of her favorites gifts ever, not that she got many often. Reaching out with hooked talons, she pulled the pelt towards her, inspecting it. "Hmm, I suppose this works well enough as a courting gift, I demand more though." They didn't need to be bunny pelts, although she'd prefer them, the shiny pelts of fish or the extra fluffy ones the squirrels had would work as well. She'd take mangy pelts of outsiders so long as they were lovely enough. Although Dawnstar wouldn't say that, ShadowClan needed to be whipped into better shape before she started causing trouble with the other clans, besides, the new leader of ThunderClan has a past with ShadowClan and Dawnstar had faint memories of the cat, she wanted to see if she could exploit that in the near future.
"You'll make a decent mate, I guess, you're not bad to look at, you are not weak, you won't die immediately, and you keep me entertained. I could do without the nickname and the constant winking, however. Those are infuriating, but I've been told that perfection is just a dream." Dawnstar in a tone of finality, not actually giving him any chance to say yes or not. He was already hers, now he simply owned two titles, her bloodthirsty hound and her mate. If Dawnstar wasn't herself, she might actually be impressed with all the former nobody. She was bestowing quite the honor upon him, but Dawnstar expected that like his former apprentice, the dumb dog would fail to see it as such. She expected just a bit too much out of some of these toms, apparently.

Re: ShadowClan Leader's Den
Sharpsight, carrying a small kit, no more than two moons, in her mouth creeps up to the entrance of Dawnstars den. She stops at the entrance, poised and alert, her ears pricked forward and one paw up to take the next step. She was tense, ready to bolt if she needed to. She wasn’t sure if Dawnstar was in her den or not, but if she wasn’t, she didn’t want Dawnstar sneaking up on her and punishing her for skulking around. She peered into the den, catching her leaders scent, and, confirming the fact that Dawnstar was in there, relaxed slightly. “Dawnstar?” She said, staying outside of the entrance. “I need to speak with you.” Hopefully her leader wasn’t to grumpy today.

Re: ShadowClan Leader's Den
Frogfang took a deep breath before stepping into dawnstars den. He had to do this or the outcome could be much worse. He finally to a step in dawnstar? he looked around waiting for a response

[Sorry, Sharp, slipped my mind to reply to this]
Dawnstar's tattered ears shot up, claws at the ready. She lifted her large head from where it rested on her stretched-out forelegs. The pupils in the amber pools had turned to slits, scarred body tensing up while she gathered her large paws underneath and rose to sit up. A head popped into the dark den, a few sniffs told Dawnstar a lot about the cat disturbing her peace. The she-cat was beyond nervous, nervous cats aren't as harmful as thought who hide their fear. The tension bleeds out of her body, but she remains alert when she picked up a straight scent mixed with that of the ShadowClan warrior.
"Sharpsight, what do you have with you?" Her meow thick with aggravation, Dawnstar hated foreign scents lingering in her den let alone her camp.

How irksome, cats just don't know when to leave her alone. Her golden eyes lazily danced over to the opening where light spilled into her den, Frogfang's silhouette stood in the entrance. "What do you want?" She hisses, nose twitching as she scented the air.

I didn’t mean to disturb you but this is quite important. he said sitting down looking at her not changing his gaze. He wasn’t scared, what ever she did or said he deserved. Before you hear this from somebody else. I would like to say. I was thinking about training a riverclan kit. I met them along the border. I’m not going to but I’m pretty sure they have told kestrelstar. he wasn’t going to sugar coat anything. He knew what he did was wrong and that lying would be stupid

Sharpsight flicked her ears and relaxed slightly. "A kit, Dawnstar." She said, a bit too matter of factly. Sharpsight wasn't one to beat around the bush when it came to talking to her leader. It just confuses things, and, in this case, she just wanted to get this meeting over and done with. "I found him in Shadowclan territory, in a . . . two leg box. I thought I could adopt him. Raise him to be a warrior, and loyal to Shadowclan." She said, trying to gauge Dawnstar's reaction. "We could always use more loyal members."

It had better be important to her, she hated it when cats came and bothered her with something important to them alone. The large bruiser pinned her ears back when she heard that he had thought about training a fish kit and of course that slimy guppy knew about it.
"WHY the hell would you think about training anyone outside of ShadowClan?" The growl turned itself into a loud screech by the time she got to the end. What the hell was wrong with him? Has he been training other hairballs outside of ShadowClan? "Are you trying to teach every other clan how to kill your clanmates in battle? Seriously, Frogfang, what in the Darkforest is going through your head." Her disappointment and disbelieve slide out in a loud hiss as she shook her head and scowled at him. "Don't tell me you've been training the other clans' kits as well?

Great, Dawnstar flickered her tail as she got up and padded a bit closer to the kit. She was not happy to hear that Sharpsight had picked it up from a twoleg thing, anything revolving around twolegs was bad news for her. "Whether he'll be loyal or not is yet to be seen. If the hairball was found in a twoleg box, then it was previously a kittypet and I don't like kittypet." Just what she needed, softblood in her clan. It was hard enough dealing with the mousebrains in her clan, she didn't need more soft kits on top of it. "Why don't you drown it instead?"

Re: ShadowClan Leader's Den
@Undertaker //
➸ marshwolf
a twoleg trap and the fresh scent of a fox. both could be dangerous, but according to wolfwhisper, the fox had not been seen and according to sootbug, he saw the twolegs trap with his own eyes. some patrols had yet to report back, which was annoying, but marshwolf would be patient - the day hadn't ended yet. those who actually reported back would be on her good side for the time being.
those who didn't even show up or didn't report would not.
appearing in the entrance of the den, icy blue eyes were set on landing on the cat she was looking for. "dawnstar," marshwolf began, voice rough. "i have something to report, regarding a few of the patrols i sent out. I don't believe it's a huge risk for the whole clan..but, it would be best to tell you." the fox would be - if it ended up being seen, at least.

No no of course not. I… I’m not sure what was going threw my head at the time. At first I didn’t know they were riverclan but I still shouldn’t have thought about it after I found out. he explained, no lie came out of his mouth. I guess part of me wanted to train them to be a spy for us. But it was a stupid idea. he added. His heart started to race. It felt like he was taking his assessment all over again or killing his first loner.

Dawnstar looked up at Marshwolf's arrival. Oddly enough, Dawnstar gave Marshwolf at least half of her attention before she returned to situating the pelt in her nest. She needed more of them, a lot more, cat pelts were strangely soft or at least the one the mutt had brought her was. She might have to see about making it a habit to collect pelts herself when she went hunting. Considering they'd come in all shades and sizes, having a variety would be very nice.
One of her ears perked and her tail immediately stopped the slow swaying motion behind. She slowly turned her gaze away from the pelt and stared at Marshwolf when spoke of some sort of problem. Great, now what? "Speak." Dawnstar ordered, taking a seat and curling her tail around her large paws.

"If you're lying to me or I hear of any other cats having obtained training from you outside our clan, I'm going to collect your entire family and I'm going to make you kill them all. That way I don't need to worry about traitorous bloodline."
No, Dawnstar didn't think being a traitor ran through the blood, being a traitor was a choice a cat made after being influenced by something or one. But it would be fun to see if Frogfang was willing to prove his loyalty to her thought that. Fiercefire might be the only one who could get out of it, that one had potential so long as he didn't do anything stupid like his brother.
"Get out of my sight." Dawnstar yowled, unsheathing her claws in a fit of rage. She didn't even want to look at this mousebrain, he was lucky she didn't say anything to the clan. She'd have to keep an eye on him, perhaps she'll fetch Fiercefire and see if he knew about this. How many more cats were on the verge of turning against her and ShadowClan?
