Cardinalpaw watched the cats (which seemed like much more initially) chatter and made a face at Silverfur acting all cocky and saying they would win. He bit back a snappy remark and ignored them, turning to Cloverkit and Quailpaw. Ah. The brats. The apprentice sighed, and jumped down from his rock, landing right in the middle of the two. "Quit it, great Starclan. Whatever this is about, it's not that serious, alright? This event is meant for fun, not petty kit fights. Quailpaw, act like an apprentice, for Starclan's sake! Also, Cloverkit, I asked you to step aside with your fellow kits and the elders to be counted." They hissed, glaring at the two before hopping back onto the rock and taking a deep breath. "Hey guys! Listen up, I'm announcing groups! Quailpaw ( @Honey_Dreamz ) and Silverfur ( @SilverFur. ), you two are racing against me! Rabbitpaw( @Oliver ) Harewhisker ( @Alderheart2763 ), Vinepaw ( @Tallstar ), and...Wildpaw! (@/Oliver(
)you are all racing against each other! Uh..what was your name..oh right! Daffodilpaw ( @Luna16 ), Elkjump ( @HerbalTea ), and..uhm.. Crowbreeze, if you're racing, you're in this group! ( @constellation ). Once again, kits and elders, since I might not have been heard the first time, step aside I can count you, thanks. If you still want to join, feel free, we're leaving in a few minutes." He announced, smiling. He shot a smirk at Quailpaw, and turned back away.

Haha! She had lucked out! She hadn't been assigned to a race! Deadmoon was quite happy to trail the group and perhaps cheer obnoxiously, and so kept a distance from Cardinalpaw. He wasn't making her run, no sirree!

Daffodilpaw's ears pricked as she heard the familiar mew of Cloverkit getting upset. She was about to stomp over and drag Quailpaw away from the kits, but then she heard her name being assigned to a race. In addition to that, she heard her mentor's name called. She stopped in her tracks, she couldn't get into a fight right now, especially with her mentor here. And her race about to start!

She turned away. Cloverkit and Ashkit will have to stand up to Quailpaw on their own this time... She looked up to find Elkjump and Crowbreeze. She wasn't super familiar with Crowbreeze, but whoever they were she would give their all to this race! She was up against two warriors after all!

Bouncepaw didn't hear his name being called, not yet, so instead he pads forward and sits down, supporting his littermate. "Good luck, Daffodilpaw!" He calls, his whiskers twitching. His sister was one of the fastest cats he knew. He had little doubt that she would win, but there was no harm in good luck.

Rabbitpaw nodded to the others response before another apprentice came bouncing up and the herbalist took the sign as a time to step back and allow the other two to converse without worrying about him. Rabbitpaw wasn't in the best being super social mood right now anyways. This whole thing was nice and a race sounded fun, but that didn't stop everything from creeping on him regardless. It's made it hard to focus on too many voices, too many things all at once like he used to. He wouldn't even blink an eye at having twenty different conversations going on around him, merely focusing on the one that mattered, but maybe he was knocked around in the fight and now he wasn't so good at just doing that. Now it takes effort to focus with too many things.

He looked up towards Cardinalpaw as the apprentice called out the teams and that the race would begin soon. Oh! That was nice, he was with Vinepaw! A good friend of his. The blonde apprentice turned his green eyed gaze towards the apprentice and noticed him talking to a fiery feline, laughing and chatting. Though Harewhisker and Wildpaw weren't cats he was very familiar with maybe this would be a good chance to get to know them. He padded over to Wildpaw and Vinepaw, "Hello Vinepaw! Wildpaw!" He greeted cheerfully, "Excited for the race! I certainly won't be making it easy for you guys." He added with a competitive spark, though it was all in good fun.

Wildpaw wagged his tail behind him and grinned even as Bunny shifted from under his paws and lightly scolded him for his usual antics, though the apprentice merely just continued grinning and rolled his eyes playfully. "You say that like I'm not always like this! Besides, you gotta admit being fun like me is well.. fun! Versus being the same old rule abiding clan mate that wouldn't know fun even if it pounced right on top of them..." I like did to you, is what Wildpaw was going to finish with but for some reason, staring at Bunny made the words stop and he quickly shook it off to continue his hyperactive competitiveness, Cardinalpaw dishing out teams.

OOOOO, he threw a paw into the air in delight as he turned his amber eyes from Cardinalpaw to Vinepaw again, "Looks like we'll have to just see. Though I'm sure I'll be leaving you in the dust, Bunny!" He turned around as he heard approaching paws and he flicked an ear as he caught sight of the new and shiny medicine cat apprentice. What a weirdo! Who actually and willingly likes being in the medicine den. Too scent loud and Lightningstorm surely was prickly when she wanted to be. At least, she hasn't been at him yet but he's seen it before here and there. "Rabbitpaw," He offered back awkwardly, "I wouldn't count on you winning."
