Quietpaw stalked over at Dawnstar's call. Her grandmother seemed in bad shape, no doubt from the mink fight. She'd wanted to participate, but alas, she was lacking battle training so she was benched at the moment.Though utterly frustrating it was understandable. The splotched she-cat took a seat a bit away from the crowd as usual and folded her plumy tail over her paws.

Mistlewhisker was proud. Proud of herself and her clanmates. They had successfuly driven the minks out, and worked with WindClan. That was something she never thought she would see. But there had been no infighting, no threats. No one had died from the minks, either. And thanks to the quick actions of Mossfreckle and Lightningstorm--Mistlewhisker liked that medicine cat, even though she was a rabbit--all injuries would recover eventually. Silverlark seemed to take the most damage from the minks, though from what she heard he fought honorably. Mistlewhisker was proud of the young tom, and made a note to tell him after her recovered.

As Dawnstar called the clan, Mistlewhisker settled herself by the Shadowledge, tail swishing over her paws. Her eye shown bright, the high of battle lasting even this long after.

Hillstrider perked up from where he was stationed outside the medicine cats' den, having helped brought injured clanmates back to camp and stayed outside in case Mossfreckle needed him. Dawnstar was calling a meeting? Radical! It was so hype how Dawnstar could take a beating from minks and still call a clan meeting not long after. Hillstrider stayed where he was, but made sure he looked like he was listening. He had been scolded a lot as a kit and apprentice for not paying attention, but he promised he was! He was just not good at controlling his facial expression, so sometimes it looked like he was zoning out when really he was listening attentively. So he had promised himself that he would work on making it clear he was listening to whoever spoke to him. Perked ears, eye contact, nodding vigorously.

Unrelated, he sometimes found cats to be a little unnerved by him whenever he spoke to them. Hm, wonder why! Maybe they were just thinking about how hungry they were or something. Hillstrider himself knew about that, he was hungry all the time!! In fact he often fantisized about prey just falling into his lap, ready to eat. Sigh, if only it worked that way....

Fogkit bounds into the clearing, eyes large and his fur perfectly groomed (for once). He’s ready. He’s going to be an apprentice. He will meet Tulipkit at the next gathering and convince her to come to Shadowclan with him. Then they’ll become the biggest, most powerful warriors in Shadowclan. A flawless plan.

The kit (well, not so much a kit now) sits the closest he can to the Shadowledge, puffing his chest out, and beaming up at Dawnstar. She’s gonna be so proud of him!!
