Mosspaw chuckles under his breath. "Yeah, being an apprentice is cool, but it's also a lot of responsability." He lays down on the ground, tucking his paws beneath him. "You don't want to have to check the elders for ticks, do you," he teases. Mosspaw thinks back to his kithood, and how much he wanted to be a medicine cat. Well, hopefully Basilkit's dreams will go better than that one. @Jessica1917

"Ew, yuck, no!" Basilkit said, making a face. "I'm going to be a good warrior!" She said proudly. She had heard many a kit claim they were going to be the leader, but by her count there was only 1 leader in Riverclan and that leader was Lionstar.

A few days had passed since Scrap had been pulled from the river. Thankfully, the tiny tail-less kit bore no marks of his time in the river, save for a few nightmares. Bad dreams aside, the kit was doing well. His eyes had finally opened, revealing a pale jade green flecked with gold. Well, in the clans, when a cat is born or joins us, they are given a clan name. Kits and apprentices names are set and end the same. Cats that are too young to train are kits, and given the suffix -kit. Apprentices names end in -paw to signify they are still in training. I... haven't brought up giving you a clan name because I thought you would prefer to settle in before we talked about it."
She hoped it wasn't too much information at once, but she'd break it up for him if he needed or wanted it. Hopefully by now the idea wouldn't upset him and he wouldn't fight her on this. She was excited for him to be officially named a clan cat

Mosspaw laughs. "Well, that's one thing you have to do as an apprentice! Luckily I haven't had to do it yet, but... it's only a matter of time," he says with a shudder. Eugh. Well, he guesses being a medicine cat would have warranted a lot of that. "I'm sure you will be, Basilkit." He gives her a small smile of encouragement.

Basilkit grinned at him. She sneakily stood up and crouched down, her tail waving in the air. She leaped into the air, almost straight up. She was aiming to land on Mosspaw's back, but she undershot a little.

"Woah!" Mosspaw moves to stand up before realizing that the kit couldn't reach him. He chuckles again and says, "You'll have to shoot a little further than that if you wanna catch me." He stands up and lashes a paw out playfully, notreally aiming for anything.

Waspkit was startled, almost baffled, as his brain took a moment to process what had happened. The ache in his gums where a tooth should be was gone, now replaced with the sharp sting of the harsh scratch right across his small face. Blood began to blister and trickle from the Ruby red line that travelled through his snout and forehead.

Waspkit blinked. He wiggled his back legs, an anger bubbling up from the pain. He quickly pounced, aiming directly at goslingkit with a hiss. "THAT HURT!" Of course it hurt, but he hadn't expected it to hurt hurt. The type of hurt that made tears pick from the corner of your eyes and your breathing wobble for a moment, that type of hurt.

She leaps over the moving leg, her tail waving. She grins. "I'm so good at this!"
