A walk was nice. Flashfeather found himself in Sky Glade, wandering the area alone. He was surprised when he stumbled apon the remains of two rabbit carcasses. The meat was torn off aside from a few chunks. What the cream tom was more interested in, however, was the skulls. The tom's paws lightly tread around the carcasses, not making any noise. After a while, the cream warrior picked up the two skulls. They would be a nice trinket. He puffed up his fluffy pelt before heading back to camp with his two skulls.

She'd become restless, sitting around camp all day. Her thoughts bounced off the walls of her skull, merging, twisting, and she needed some physical stimuli to distract from that. Hunting had seemed like a good idea - productive, distracting, and most wonderfully energy-consuming. If she spent all her energy here, honed her laser focus, maybe, just maybe, she could stop thinking about those stinky RiverClan cats. Murdering WindClan's (the best Clan, obviously) deputy! Pah. Rainyday let out a growl. Slippery freaks.

Rainyday shifts her attention to the hunt and stalks through the field, her senses attuned to every rustle and whisper of movement. Her large grey ears twitch as she detects the faintest sound of rustling in the underbrush nearby. With another low growl rumbling in her throat, she crouches low, her muscles tense and coiled, ready to spring into action.

The rabbit, unaware of the danger lurking, continues to hop leisurely through the field, its nose twitching as it sniffs the air. Suddenly, it freezes, sensing the presence of a predator nearby. With a panicked squeak, it bolts, its powerful hind legs propelling it forward in a desperate bid for escape.

Rainyday's instincts kick into overdrive as she gives chase, her enormous yet agile form cutting through the air like a shadow. The rabbit darts left and right, zigzagging through the tall grass in an attempt to shake off its pursuer. But Rainyday is relentless, her determination unwavering as she keeps pace with her prey, her eyes never leaving its fleeting form.

The chase is exhilarating, a dance of predator and prey amidst the backdrop of the sprawling field. With each twist and turn, Rainyday calculates her next move, anticipating the rabbit's every maneuver with precision. The distance between them narrows with each passing moment, until finally, with a burst of speed, Rainyday closes the gap and launches herself forward.

She can feel the little rabbit's heart race in terror as Rainyday's outstretched claws close in, but in a last-ditch effort, it veers sharply to the side, narrowly avoiding her grasp. Undeterred, Rainyday adjusts her course, her determination unyielding as she continues the pursuit.

Minutes stretch into eternity as the chase unfolds, the rhythm of predator and prey echoing through the field. Finally, with a burst of speed and a well-timed leap, Rainyday closes the distance between them and delivers the final blow. The rabbit's struggles cease as Rainyday's jaws close around its neck, bringing the hunt to a swift and decisive end.

She allows herself to let out a long and victorious purr as she lifts the limp mammal from the ground, ready to bring it back to camp. She wasn't hungry. Maybe she'd take it to the Elders. Rainyday shakes her windswept pelt, allowing her thick fur to fall back into place. In the thrill of the chase, she had actually forgotten her anxieties about RiverClan. Making her way home now, she made a mental note to come here more often. Maybe she'd bring Sunnypurr sometime.

After Dustbunny leads the way out of the camp, she takes Vinepaw to the closest landmark, eyes vigilant on the sky. "So, this the Sky Glade." She waved her tail towards the heather-filled field and nodded toward the lone pine tree. "That tree there is called the Lonely Pine, one of the few trees you'll find in WindClan."We fought ShadowClan for this territory some moons back. We won, but we lost a lot of good warriors, or so I'm told. It's a good place for hunting rabbits, so long as you mind the sky." Dustbunny told Vinepaw.

Vinepaw listened closely to his mentors words “So this is a good place to hunt rabbits,hm but aren’t they in their warrens do we flush them out or?” He asked he looked around and at the tree Dustbunny had pointed out he thought it was interesting that they had fought so hard for a tree but he knew it had to be somewhat symbolic @Moonraven

Dustbunny pricked her ears at the question. The she-cat glanced up at the sky checking once again making certain that there were no raptors eyeing them before deciding. "Alright, I suppose we can do a quick hunting lesson."

"So the first thing to always remember is that you can turn into prey out here, watch the sky for any signs of raptors, they usually cast a shadow when they fly around if they're close. Always be aware of what's above you." She warned the apprentice.

"Next, finding prey. Your nose is best for finding prey by picking up their scents. Try it now and see if you can answer your question, are there any rabbits hiding around here, and if so where?"

Vinepaw listened to his mentor and concentrated on his surroundings he used his noise and sniffed the air there was a faint smell of rabbit that had reminded him of the fresh kill pile he then heard thumps or well shakings in the tall grass
“I smell a rabbit over there in the tall grass“ he says with the flick of his tail directed to where he had smelled it he dropped into a crouch and slowly started stalking forward but still keeping an eye on the sky

Dustbunny followed Vinepaw's gaze and scented the air to make sure he had a rabbit. He did. Good nose. Seeing as it didn't seem he need many instructions from her, Dustbunny sat back and watched. Hunting out here was a lot of instinct, he dropped into a crouch and stalked forward rather well. Now, let see if he could acually catch it.

As Vinepaw crept near the grass he saw the grass move and then a rabbit shot out from the grass Vinepaw quickly sprinted after it due to his small stature he was quick.He started to gain on the rabbit once he had gotten close enough he snapped at the neck with a crunch the rabbit went limp he looked down at it proudly he retorted back over to Dustbunny with the rabbit dangling from his jaws “I caught it!” he said muffled by the rabbit @Moonraven

Dustbunny purred softly as she watched Vinepaw make his first kill. "That was great, Vinepaw. You're a natural-born hunter." She trilled, padding over to the apprentice. "So, we're going to have to move on, go ahead and bury that." She told him, not certain that it was a good idea to leave it with vultures around. "Usually you could hide it under a bush or something, but with vultures around they might steal it before we return so burying it is better."

Vinepaw nodded and started to dig a medium sized hole near a rock he hated he had to hurry it and let it get a dirt flavor but he understood why he had too.While he was digging he felt a little bit happy at his mentors praise when he finished digging he placed the rabbit down gently “Thanks Dustbunny!..Will anything try to dig it up?”he looked at his mentor concerned he hated the thought of losing his hardwork. @Moonraven
