Cougarpaw
7 Moons
He/Him
Cougarpaw paced impatiently outside the warrior’s den, his tail flicking with a mixture of boredom and frustration. He had been stuck without a mentor for what felt like ages, and his patience was wearing thin. The other apprentices were busy with their training, and he was left to wander, feeling as if ThunderClan was wasting his potential.
He had overheard Violetfreckle, the older warrior, talking about her skills with fish during the last Clan meeting. It had sparked something in him—something he could use. Fish. They weren’t as difficult to catch as the land prey, and they weren’t exactly something most of the other apprentices seemed good at either. If he could master that, it would set him apart.
Without hesitation, Cougarpaw approached the she-cat, his chest puffed out in his usual manner.b“Violetfreckle,” he meowed, his voice dripping with confidence. “I’ve decided I want to learn how to fish. Since you’re the best at it, I thought you’d be the perfect one to teach me. What do you say?” He tilted his head slightly, waiting for her response, certain she would be eager to share her knowledge with such a talented apprentice.
To prove it, Beetlekit bapped the warrior on the other shin, since she couldn't quite reach the shoulder. "Woahhh," she breathed when she found that, indeed, DaylightWing was alive.
She squinted at the missing leg, then looked at her own limbs. Could she imagine the same happening to her? Maybe it would feel a bit worse than a nibble. A bite, perhaps. Bites do eat cats, after all. Or, parts of one. She had to be careful, then, when she bit cats. She didn't want to eat them.
"What else happ'nd?" Awe gone, Beetlekit was eager again. "Did you eat them back?"

DaylightWing smiles. "Mhm! I'm living and breathing, just like you. She purrs softly, her tail swishing along the ground. "Mhm. I ate them back. They didn't taste good, tasted like crow-food."
Her left ear flicks. "Oh- What's your name? I'm DaylightWing."

AlpinePelt gazed across the clearing, cats chatting.. kits playing.. a cat slowly approaching her.. WHAT!? AlpinePelt jumped back as the cat stopped next to them, "Uhm.. Excuse me? Can I help you??" She snarled, the cat had kind eyes and a friendly demeanor but AlpinePelt liked her personal space.. and it is a clan camp so this is normal.. She wanted to talk to someone so badly but couldn't find the courage to do so, "better act now or else you'd look like an idiot!" AlpinePelt meowed in her head, "ohh boy.." She said anxiously

Forestivy
ThunderClan Warrior
Female (She/Her)
Forestivy backpedaled at the warrior's harsh reaction to her approach, her black-tipped ears flattening back against her head as she instinctively began glancing around for exits. She had just wanted to share tongues, but perhaps this cat didn't want to be disturbed at the moment. Unfortunately, the busyness of the clearing obstructed any quick egress from the awkward situation. So, with half of her fight-or-flight response effectively negated, there was only one other reaction her brain could come up with.
It was a decidedly unimpressive demonstration of her mental capacity.
"Oh! Um…not exactly?" Realizing the awkwardness of her sort of-answer, she ungracefully rushed to add, "That is, I just wanted to talk, but if you don't want to right now that's completely okay…" Forestivy slowly trailed off into unintelligible mumbling realizing she had almost certainly botched the whole thing. Wow, Forestivy. What a great way to introduce yourself. Very smooth, bees-for-brains.

Female (She/Her)
As the other cat slowly dropped their defensive posture, Forestivy let out a shaky breath. She hadn't been scared, exactly, but the sudden reaction of the other warrior had been startling, to say the least. Warily, the grey she-cat took a seat a few tail-lengths from the stranger as the other cat opened their mouth to speak.
The voice was masculine-ish, but the way the other warrior carried themselves made them appear more like a she-cat. Cats occasionally ended up in situations like this, and it was hardly rare. She'd just have to tread carefully, or she might set this cat off. They seemed jumpy enough already. "I just wanted to talk about...anything, really," Forestivy answered after a moment's pause. "I was absent from the Clan for a while—I'd rather not talk about why—and I'm not very up-to-date on Clan activities. That, and I just wanted to talk to another intelligent being." Her response complete, Forestivy nervously shuffled her paws in the dirt as she waited for a reply.

A black, scruffy head emerged from the warrior's den as Minkvenom padded into the clearing, her long fur crinkled and uneven from a good night's sleep. Her maw creaked open involuntarily with a yawn, hot breath creating a little cloud in front of her, before closing in a bare-toothed smile. She shook herself down from head to hind, roughly organising her fur, before really grooming it into place with a few quick licks.
With how dark it was all the time in Leaf-bare Minkvenom could barely tell when the sun rose and set, and her body couldn't tell either, apparently. 'I can't believe I overslept! I won't fall behind the other warriors, I've gotta do something productive.' She thought to herself, looking back into the den for someone to join her self-assigned task.
"Rowanlark! Let's go for walk, warm up our paws! Come on!" She called out, standing ready at the entrance. The molly did plan to go for a walk around the camp, but part of her knew she'd be straying a bit, going on a little faux-patrol with someone who she knew wouldn't decline. 'I'll keep it light though, still gotta get back for some training with Hornetpaw. Maybe... 2? No, 3 laps!'
Rowanlark was rather boredly dozing in the warrior's den when Minkvenom called out to her, jumping slightly at the sudden sound of her name. She blinked herself into focus and turned to the she-cat with a smile– totally not trying to hide the fact that she had been startled.
"Ah, coming!" she responded, hopping to her paws and padding closer to Minkvenom, "I've been looking for a reason to get out of camp." Rowanlark had been itching to get out and moving since she had woken up, thankful for finally having the opportunity to do so.
As the other cat slowly dropped their defensive posture, Forestivy let out a shaky breath. She hadn't been scared, exactly, but the sudden reaction of the other warrior had been startling, to say the least. Her response complete, Forestivy nervously shuffled her paws in the dirt as she waited for a reply.
"Hmm, well there really isn't anything interesting that I know of.." She thought hard, "I mean, hunted, held ceremonies.. Just normal clan news and things" She shuffled her paws, she regretted jumping back but it's.. Just a reflex, after having a horrible father.. She actually hoped to become friends, no cat really wanted to talk to her after she.. became a She, basically.
Sunrisepaw gave herself a good stretch in the clearing. Things were...pretty quiet now for the most part. Her and her siblings were apprentices now, and that mostly kept them busy. They didn't spend as much time together anymore as they did as kits, and part of her worried whether Hailpaw was going to be okay with that or not. He still hadn't really recovered from what happened when they were kits...
The dilute tortie sat down and leaned back to scratch behind her ear, trying not to worry so much. All of them were pretty screwed up now, it is what it is. And they'd have to work through it in their own way.

Spiderpaw busied herself by changing out the bedding in the elder's den. She rolled up a bundle of old bedding and lifted it to carry it outside, returning with fresh bedding to make more nests. This part of being an apprentice, she loved. As a kit, she had way too much time to dwell on her lost family. Now, as an apprentice, she had a lot more to work with to keep her paws busy! Which was great!
Lynxpaw isn't entirely sure what's happening between Fleapaw and their mentor, but Hollowpaw doesn't look happy about it. He's never talked with Silverleopard, but Fleapaw is his denmate so he should make sure the other apprentice is okay. Besides, Hollowpaw seems to be handling the warrior just fine. "Are you okay, Fleapaw?"
