"Thank you, Cherrykit...." Dirtfur glanced at the plump fish and the water-full moss ball. Though he ate a mouse earlier, but he decided to eat up the silver fish and sipped the water out of the moss.
"You're a wonderful kit, ya know that?" the non-deputy praised the kit, smiling at her.

cherrykit purred at her praising, but she thought back to what sugarapple said, "I dont know...I made sugarapple really mad at me..." she said with a small frown. cherrykit lifted her chin up though, she was just happy dirtfur was doing better. "heh...maybe one day I'll be the new shiverpetal." she chuckled nervously at her joke. @Dirtfur

"Well you must've deserved it, I don't know, I was in here the whole time..." he mumbled the rest of the words, looking at the wall.

Hazelberry poked her head in. "Oh no sweetie! I don't think you can be the new Shiverpetal. Weren't you that rude little thing at his vigil? Smiling over his death? No, they would certainly never allow an evil cat to be medicine cat or the apprentice." It was sad but true, and besides, she didn't think the leader liked her alot as it was. And he seemed to give the final say over who was what in Riverclan. "Better drop that dream now just so you don't get disappointed later! That's what my mommy told me, and look how I turned out."

cherrykit smiled and pawed at dirtfur's nose, "really think im old enough to be a medicine cat?" she giggled at the non-deputy, "i mean a bet I would make a better medicine cat then shiverpetal, because i wouldn't kill my clanmates over a silly cold...plus i would ask for proper help from other medicine cats..." cherrykit mumbled the last part half to herself. @Dirtfur

"Yes, I can see that you turned out lazy and careless," Dirtfur retorted at the molly. He furrowed his brow, had she ever heard of knocking? But-
"She's right ya know, this clan doesn't accept cats who are happy when their clanmate died." he meowed to Cherrykit.

Hazelberry was offended, and she was starting to be convinced that he was on the side of the Dark Forest since he was seeming to align himself with the kit. "Huh? I'm not lazy or careless, ya bee-brained deputy. Is that how you talk to your hard-working warriors? I'm trying to HELP this kit and you're just filling her head with things that will not happen. Lionstar specifically said no kits and no apprentices for the medicine cat. You're being cruel to let her think she can do it, especially when you know Starclan wouldn't let it happen. To be frank I don't know how Starclan hasn't struck you down from your rank yet." He was rude and completely incompetent, and she already figured that out from this brief interaction!

" she hissed, but quickly covered her mouth not meaning to raise her voice to the she-cat, "I'm sorry...i'm just mad that everycat thinks I was being cruel, but i didn't mean to I was just releived I wasn't going to have to get "put down"..." she dipped her head sobbing just a little. @Kitty Mama

"Did Shiverpetal tell you that?" Hazelberry didn't believe it, this was a kit who couldn't even figure out that she was being incredibly rude and inconsiderate at a vigil. A dead cat was in front of her and she was happy about it. "Lionstar said he never lost a patient! So no." That was easily proven to this silly kit. "We don't think you were being cruel, we know it. Sorry, that's the truth: you were a brat and deserve this grounding that your poor momma put ya in. Don't hold onto those aspirations unless you're going to shape up your act, little lady."
