It was strange. The warmth that spreads from his chest when she returns the affection is something he's never felt before. And it's not as if she's never returned the same gestures he tended to offer incessantly. This was something different entirely. It takes him by surprise and for a moment he sits in silence with her scent, her words, her presence... Was it simply the realization that he was going to miss her once the day came where they would both be tasked with mentoring duties? Or something else he can't place? Swallowing hard, he gives an awkward laugh accompanied by a small smile.
"I'm sure of it too." He meows with conviction, bouncing back from whatever weakness had taken hold. "Besides, we'll see each other every day for sure, considering how close our nests are! Couldn't get away from you even if I wanted to."
To really drive home the fact that he's teasing, he bats at her shoulder, nervous smile widening into a cheeky grin.
completely oblivious to yarrowcrests sudden nervousness, her own melts away. she pushes his face with her paw and smiles, changing her tune. "dang right." she teasingly sticks her tongue out at him "you were nice to me once when we were kits, good luck trying to get rid of me now" she shakes out her fur, fluffing up in the light of day. she looks a bit like a pinecone before she smooths herself out.

Still feeling a bit awkward, he licks a paw and smooths out the fur that got fluffed up from the impact of her paw. Being nice to that pinecone of a kit back then would never be something he'd regret. He's not really sure why she stuck to him like sap that day forward but he's thankful for her loyalty. Without such a lively force in his life he would have struggled through his apprenticeship a lot more than he did. Getting to his paws, he leans into a stretch, claws digging into the dirt as he enjoys the feeling.
"I should probably go see what she's up to... Hunt later?"
An expectant look is thrown her way. That was definitely an offer that she wouldn't be able to refuse!

"Here. Sundown." He repeats to confirm, offering a nod to her before turning around. And then off he trots, tail raised high in the air. It seems as though his spirits have been renewed for the day.

Rose stopped by to plant a garden here.
Fawnpaw walked into the entrance to Thunderclan camp. She purred as sun beams hit her face and back. There were so many cats! And this was her clan now, and she could protect them and live with them. Twolegs couldn't find her and take her away. Fawn won't let her fate turn out like her sister.

Forest kit walked around camp and her Icy blue eyes and clean coat almost seemed like they were shining. she tripped on a stick and fell face first which caused her to go unconscious for a bit (no med needed she just had a hard fall but do whatevs)
The tiny blue kit looked around the Clearing of her clan. It felt... odd. But she thought nothing of it.
She narrowed her blue eyes, two different shades, scanning for a cat she could play with. She stood up and started padding to the center when she trodded on a thorn. She let out a hiss of pain before pulling it out. She started viciously licking it before shaking her paw. She limped over to the nursery. She would see the medicine cats later.
Even if her paw was throbbing in pain, she still wanted to play!!

mushroomquiver sat, expectantly. waiting for his one and only to maybe return, he didn't expect them to but,, the thought that they would was a nice one. it was a thought that got him through each and every day. without it, he might as well be a fish.
