Upon shaking off his irritation, Creepingpaw flicked his ears at Kestrelpaw before chuckling.

”Well.. I hope your training with Sproutfleck will keep you from being fish food during our Riverclan trip~” He smirked, unable to help himself from teasing.

He also glanced where Kestrelpaw looked before his low purrs turned to laughter.

“I dont mean to be a buzzkil~!… you seem easily distracted, hope that won’t be a problem on a future battlefield…” His claws flexed into the earth beneath him, muscles rippling underneath his short coat from tension.

“I’m sure Kestrelpaw could best you anyday, anytime, Creepingpaw,” She retorted, though her voice was softer than before. Lotuspaw pushed herself up into a sitting position and gave her chest fur a couple of slow licks. “Sproutfleck is a good mentor, from what I’ve heard. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has already trained Kestrelpaw how to fight.”

Feeling his fur grow warm and puff up momentarily from embarrassment and self realization of his behavior, Creepingpaw raised a brow as if to contemplate Lotuspaw’s comment before purring into laughter.

”Maybe you’re right…” he sauntered past Lotuspaw, his tail brushing her nose playfully.

”I’m vaguely familiar with Sproutfleck’s hatred of RiverClan and hunting skills… except I’m clearly the strongest and sneakiest in this entire den.” he gloated, chuckling into a low purr as he gazed back at Lotuspaw with playful yet challenging eyes.

”Ivypaw! Time to go!”

Raggedear called, poking his head through the entrance to the Apprentices Den. ”You want to see the territory, don’t you?” The russet warrior tried to sound impatient, but he knew that wasn’t really the case. He couldn’t wait to get to know his new apprentice more and show her the ropes of being a full-fledged Clan cat.

Ivy stirred sleepily, Blinking. then, as the full weight of the warrior's words fell into place, she scrambled up from her nest. "coming!" she mewed.
a moment later, she popped out of the apprentices den.
"I'm ready!" she mewed brightly.

Raggedear purred as Ivypaw tumbled out of den, clearly eager to start her training. ”Alright, Ivypaw. Since you’re so excited, why don’t you pick the first area you want to explore? We won’t get through the whole territory in one day.” He warned, but his gaze was warm. ”Or if you’d rather, I can try teaching you a hunter’s crouch today?”

Kestrelpaw looked between (ah, her name was Lotuspaw) and Creepypaw at their back-and-forth banter. Um, hello she was right here. Oh wait, she was finally being talked to again. “Hmph, I wasn’t even gonna come on that RiverClan trip but now you’ll see.” She lifted her chin.

She puffed up with pride at Lotuspaw’s compliment. This apprentice definitely knew where it was all at! Kestelpaw could totally crush this kid (she wasn’t even sure how old Creepypaw was… he was definitely bulkier and more muscled than her fluff). “Sure can!” She boasted, ignoring the fact that she and Sproutfleck had gone over a grand total of two moves so far. Note to self — ask Mr. Fleck for more battle training. Her mentor hated RiverClan? That was a new one for Kestrelpaw (she barely knew anything of the tom, whoops!) Didn’t matter all that much to her though.

“You can be… the sneakiest and strongest… I guess.” She said haltingly, begrudgingly after a pause, as if her feathers had been ruffled at having to give up her titles.

A purr rumbled in Lotuspaw’s throat. “Creepingpaw may by the sneakiest, Kestrelpaw, but he won’t be the strongest!”

Creepingpaw tilted his head at the two apprentices before belly laughing at the pair. ”I’m joking! Of course I’m not the strongest.” He purred teasingly, flashing a deviously charming grin, ”I hope you two can come on the expedition into RiverClan territory… so you can see why I’m called Creepingpaw.”

The mottled apprentice looked between her denmates for a moment, and then yawned. Well, that was all the social interaction (entertainment) she needed for the day. 'Sides, they were just sounding boring now. Talking about technical things Kestrelpaw had little to no interest in. Staring at the pair for a moment longer, the mostly-made-up-of-fluff apprentice shrugged and padded back over to her nest, kneading the moss lining before settling down, curled into a ball.

"Goodbye." Was all she said, yawning again and shutting her eyes.

“Well, then,” She meowed quietly with a wave of her plumy tail. “Wanna play a game?”
