Cinderflower looked at the tom, letting a slight smile. This smile wasn't awkward. It was a smile that she shows everyone in Thunderclan. She didn't understand why she smiled at a cat from another clan. @CactusHeart;

But Owlpelt didn't come to meet her. She gave a heavy sigh before skidding back into the den again, eager to take a walk in the night-air.

Windclan lives on a moore and they hunt rabbits, and no the rumor that they are scared of trees is not true. They believe they are closest to Starclan because they live up on the hill not at the base of the hill like the other clans. They use to do tunneling, which is digging holes under ground to chase rabbits in, but after a strom flooded them killing a large majority of their warriors they stopped hunting under ground. And as I don’t know much about you, I’m pretty sure you won’t do this, but I’m letting you know just to be clear, if we see a patrol, no taunting them and no crossing the border. I don’t want to report that to Passionstar anyways, which I’d have to do as I’m not a mentor so I couldn’t punish at my will. Anyways, I assume you’ve never seen a Skyclan cat before due to us not sharing a border with them. But tell you what, since you need a warrior to escort you to the gatherings if you lack a mentor, I can tell Passionstar that I’m escorting you to the next gathering so you can go to a gathering.” He meowed I remember when I was an apprentice how excited I was to go to the gathering, and she’s been unable to go to one.

Grovepaw, surprisingly, stayed quiet while the tom spoke, soaking up all the knowledge he was sharing. Windclan cats used to hunt underground? How cool was that! Weird, yeah, but very cool. She wondered what it'd be like to be underground, where sunlight wouldn't touch you. At the mention of gatherings, the molly's ears perked. "Really?" the brown she-cat gasped, bouncing in her spot. "Oh, thank you Monarchstep! I'll behave myself there, I promise! I already know the rules- no fighting allowed!" She gave a toothy smile at the warrior, happiness radiating from her. Now, she was determined to do her best today. She'd be on her best behavior and put forth as much effort as she could muster for battle training. She wanted to prove herself worthy of this gift Monarchstep was giving her, a gift of her first gathering. She also wanted to do her best as a way to thank the tom, as this meant a lot to her.

Grovepaw nodded quickly to show she understood, making a mental note for when the time of the Gathering came. When Monarchstep announced they were near the border, her green eyes darted to in front of them as she eagerly scanned around. She opened her mouth to scent the air and sure enough Windclan scent was heavy. "Windclan smells weird," she commented with a laugh, wrinkling her muzzle. Almost as weird as Riverclan did." She wanted to get closer, but she reminded herself that she was meant to be on her best behavior- running ahead of the warrior kind enough to bring her out here was not considered good behavior, not even by a long shot. "Do you think we'll run into a patrol?" The swirled molly perked her ears, listening for any pawsteps, but found none. Chances were a patrol had passed by not too long ago, and the two Thunderclan members had missed them.
