"R-Right, okay. Um, I don't wanna play 'walk' again. Prob'ly no racing either," he mentions timidly, hoping she didn't have her heart set on anything like that. Mosquitokit just can't take the stress of another head-bump-incident. "But we could do mossball, or the hidin' game, or...or, uh, pretend," he lists off. He's still got only a few games that he can name but, boy, is he excited to try out any one of them.

"Um. But if there's any you wanna play then we could do that too." Mosquitokit offers, trying to be courteous.

"Okay!" He's all lit up, all smiles, just to wilt a little; playing pretend seems kinda hard, come to think of it. He's bad enough at knowing how to be himself, let alone knowing how to play-act as someone else.

Only, that's not a fair thing to think. He hasn't even tried yet. Mosquitokit steels himsef. He can do this!

"Okay," he repeats, pointy face scrunched in a look of extreme concentration. "I'll...be a Shadowclan warrior, called...Mosquito...fur. Yeah, Mosquitofur!" Bit lame (he hopes he doesn't make it to warriorhood having been so unremarkable that he can be named for nothing more than his pelt), but it'll do for now. "And I'm," he clears his throat, hoping he can sell some seriousness for this next bit, "pretty mighty. An' really good at, uh, patrols. An' stuff."

Yes, Mosquitokit's most self-indulgent power fantasy: being a warrior who is really good at patrols and stuff.

He sure hopes he's not overdoing it.

"Oaky "Mosquitofur" and ill be WildFire!" Wildkit said hoping that when she becomes a warrior her name will be WildFire. " Yeah "WildFire" of Riverclan and I'm the strongest cat in Riverclan!" She said excitedly. @kenjaku

Mosquitokit chokes on a derisive little giggle, shaking his head. Wildfire of Riverclan...while he has no doubt that Wildkit will probably grow up to be a force of nature one day, he simply doesn't approve of her imaginary affiliation with Riverclan. Oh, but maybe in this make-believe, Riverclan is on a path to redemption and Wildfire is leading the charge...

Hah. But that means Mosquitok—Mosquitofur has to be an adequate challenger, right? Wildfire can't just have her might go uncontested, especially since she's a Riverclanner. Oh, he's got this pretend stuff in the bag! Mosquitokit puffs up, back arched. "Ha! P-Puny Riverclanner...what, y'r the strongest of all the fish? That still means y'r slimy!" He taunts, before stopping to ask: "Um sorry Wildkit was that okay? Wasthattoomean?"

"Yes of course its okay its just make belive and I really hate riverclan that's why I choose it!" Wildkit said with a big smile and goes back to pretend. " Your just mad because you have to hide in the shadows all day because of how ugly you are." "WildFire" spat. " Remember I don't actually mean anything I'm saying ok." Wildkit said reasuringly.

Mosquitokit tries, but he can't help himsef—he laughs. He laughs, wholehearted and from the chest, so hard that it ends with a goofy, breathless snort. He's just glad that they're having fun and playing a real game and everything is okay.

And playing games is fun. How 'bout that!

"Okay. I don't mean it either. It's jus' make-believe." He reiterates happily before he frowns, trying to tighten his expression and not let it break around another ear-to-ear smile so that he can be big, bad Mosquitofur again.

"I'll show ya ugly! Rah," that 'rah' is gritted out to emphasize the swing of his littlw pw through the air. He doesn't actually hit Wildkit, since he's still a little shy about play-fights, but he shadowboxes at her like he means business.

Wildkit falls over laughing. then stands up on all four paws looking very fierce... Or so she thinks. "WildFire gets up and bites " Mosquitofur in the face " Take that you ugly duckling." Wildkit laughs and says I cant even imagine biting you in real life. @kenjaku

"Ack, my mighty face!" He reaches out to very carefully plant a paw to Wildkit's nose (don'thurtherforrealdon'thurtherforrealdon'thurther forreal) just to keep her back, arm's length.

"Y-Y'r playin' slimy, Fishfire! Tch, jus' like a wishy-washy rivercat. Wh-Whaddya have t'say for yourself?" He's trying, with mixed results, to be stern. Because the coolest warriors are the stern ones, in Mosquitokit's opinion, and he would like very much to imagine that he'll be a cool warrior someday. Stranger things have happened, right?
