Eaglepaw twitched his ears back in embarrassment, and followed his mentor's order. He almost tripped over a piece of moss that was dangling from his jaws, but he caught himself before he could tumble through the camp wall. He headed through, holding his head up proudly.

The weight got off Dirtfur's shoulders disappeared. The brown tomcat looked back to see that Raccoontail was in a corner with the badger hovering over her. Dirtfur spotted the gray warrior waved her paw at the huge badger. The badger padded closer to the she-cat. The tabby warrior glances around the area for anything to stop the badger. Stopping a badger with two warriors is hard, Dirtfur thought as he ran towards his dirt-covered fish and dug it bit hard into the tail. please be okay, Raccoontail. Dirtfur thought. He swung the fish with as much force as he can put. The fish went over the badger and made a thud.

Riverpaw was still in shock. This didn't feel real. Yet his eager response made her smile. He was eager to train her. He was going to help her become a warrior! Excitement started to form in the little tabby as she caught up to reality. She was really going to train and become a warrior. At his question she nodded. "Yes please!" She meowed trotting after him.
Colored leaves drifted to the ground as she followed Eagleflight. It was pretty. Thinking back she could remember playing in the leaves with her cousin and brother as kits. Back then life was easy. She could laugh and play when she wanted and knew Icebelly would always be there. At night she would curl up with her family and get a nice warm nights sleep. Now she didn't know who would be there for her. Or who would make her laugh and comfort her when she cried. It was kind of sad thinking about it. Well she would have Eagleflightnow, at least she hoped so.
Pulling herself out of her memories and thoughts Riverpaw picked up her pace to keep up with the russet warrior. "Um, what are we going to learn?" She asked. The question felt foreign on her tongue, she hadn't asked about training in a few moons if not more.

"Hmm," Eagleflight thought for a moment once the duo had reached the training hollow. He thought about all of the disputes with ShadowClan as of lately, and decided that cat-vs-cat moves would be the best to start with for now.
"Let's work on some defensive moves, shall we?" He began. "Defending yourself from enemy attacks is equally as important as learning to attack them. So, let's say I'm a pesky ShadowClan warrior who has crossed the border, and I'm getting ready to leap at you. What do you do?" He quizzed her, squaring himself up to pretend to be an enemy cat. He dropped into a crouch, his muscles tensed as he acted as if he was about to pounce, just as he'd stated in his example. He wouldn't pounce just yet--he wanted to see if she knew what to do.

Minkshine trotted merrily into the territory beside Fawnpaw, her green eyes shining excitedly at him. "Thank you for agreeing to go hunting with me, Fawnpaw! I'm so glad to finally meet you." She flashed a toothy smile at him, hoping to keep his interest. She'd heard so much about this certain apprentice, which was very odd, considering not many warriors liked talking fondly about apprentices (unless it was their own). She wanted to know what made this tom so popular. Judging by a quick glance, he was quite cute, but that can't be it. Lots of apprentices were cute. What made him so special?

While she was intrigued by this tom's reputation, Minkshine didn't want to just straight-up ask him about it. That would be kind of rude, and weird, and the last thing she wanted was to make Fawnpaw feel weird. So she thought of another way to get to know him. No...a way to bond with him.

Humming in thought, Minkshine kept her inquisitive gaze on Fawnpaw. It wasn't long before her muzzle worked up a curious smirk. "So tell me," the she-cat purred smoothly, "Have you ever competed in a fishing competition before?"

Fawnpaw was overcome by the feeling of an alien experience. This was unique, leaving the camp with a warrior escort and that warrior escort had actually invited him and the warrior escort was a she-cat who wasn’t his mentor. He never thought he’d see the day and was starting to wonder if that strength training was paying off. And more astoundingly, she… was thanking him for coming with. It was flattering and had a warmth building under his pelt. ”What, did you seriously think I’d say no to you?” he asked, partially wondering aloud. Her smile nearly stopped him in his tracks, but he managed to keep it together with a small falter in his gait and a sputtered reply, ”Uh, yeah— me too. As in, meeting you. Not meeting me, I…. honestly don’t envy you there.” Ahh yes, some self-deprecating humor to start the patrol off on the right paw, that was better.

And as he was wondering if it’d be too weird to compliment her smile, he realized that she was staring at him. Just staring, and he clammed up with a nervous chuckle under her scrutiny. To ease his own awkwardness, a joke about having moss in his fur was on the tip of his tongue, but to his relief, she didn’t give him time to dig himself deeper.

Fawnpaw’s head tilted, curious, pondering if she had partaken in a fishing competition since he certainly hadn’t. ”This might surprise you, but I actually try to avoid the things that I assume will embarrass me in front of...” well, her, but more generally.. He cleared his throat. ”In front of my clanmates. I do enough of that without taking up additional opportunities.” Melting into a huff of a laugh, his shoulders dropped their tenseness. ”Look, if you want to, we can. On the condition that you’re not allowed to tell anybody when I end up falling in, or something equally dumb.”

Raccontail looked up frantically as the fish was thrown, looking to Dirtfur like now how does that help??? Cowering under the badger, a wild idea popped into her head. She made a wild grab for the fish that had soared over them as a huge claw ran down her back. She yolwed in pain, turning to see the badger grabbing her angrily. With her last bit of strength, she grabbed the fish and ran it across the badger's face. It let her go and she quickly crawled out of it's way, hoping Dirtfur could handle it while she recovered.

Littlepaw gazed at his paws, his expression filled with sadness and hurt. He lifted his gaze at the black chausie's words. A tear slipped down his cheek, and he didn't even attempt to stop it. He bared his teeth and closed his eyes, bowing his head as more tears fell, his small body shaking. He just couldn't hold it back anymore.
"WHY?!," he screamed. "J-just... why?! Why do you hate me so much?!?! Didn't you love me?! Don't you love me?! I loved you, still love you, I always have... but you left me hurt, broken in pieces!!! I... I just need to know... why do you... hate me...?!" he choked, then coughed, and dug his claws into the soft moss beneath him.

"I know I'm a mistake..." he whispered loud enough for Wolfmask to hear. "A worthless, pathetic mistake... maybe that's why you hate me..."

" he somewhat shouted . Then he sighed " I just left because I was still ticked. I didn't want to go too far , farther than I already had. ...just bad luck anyways ." he added . Then he frowned " will you stop crying?! Will you stop looking down on yourself? All of it! Tom up!" he meowed as his tail twitched countless times . He took a while to calm himself down and decided to speak again " I did love you..but after that i..and...by now I figured you'd find someone else who deserved you. So I tried to forget... Which failed. And why do you still love me?? If anyone's a mistake it should be me. My mother can prove it as well as my father. She's made it clear oh so many a time . " . don't cry, be a tom. Her pelt warmed beneath her fur at the tom's words. Amazing? Me? "Yeah, right, tail-kisser. There's a difference between 'amazing' and 'better than the worst fighter in all of the clan history.' I'm only mediocre!" Even so, her chest swelled with a strange feeling. Was it- no, surely not- pride? Confidence? Such feelings were foreign to her, but her eyes glitters with exhilaration as she realized that she would do anything to feel that again. "It seems like we're doing fighting practice first. Let's see- which one of your battle skills needs the most improvement? I think I can help a bit!"

Stormgaze trekked through the territory, her paws light on the ground. She aimed to go hunting, though she wished she had a partner to help her. It was always great to hunt with someone. Stormgaze's tail grazed the floor. Her eye flicked back and forth as she made her way toward the river, feeling more and more relaxed once she grew closer to it. The brown she-cat had settled in well whenever SkyClan and RiverClan merged, having wanted to go to RiverClan anyways. Her family had not settled in as well, but she didn't mind. She was finally where she belonged. It was more comfortable for her to fish, to swim, and be called a cat of RiverClan. Stormgaze was home, and she planned to stay as a loyal feline of her Clan for the rest of her days. She then came to a halt in front of the river and crouched down, preparing to fish.
