Frigidpaw was looking around because she was bored. She wanted to terrorize someone.

Shadowfur slowly traipsed through the Icy Heartlands, gazing around at the environment surrounding him. This was indeed the part of their territory that most closely resembled ThunderClan's, at least as far as he could tell. He silently wondered if there were any other ways he could use this to ShadowClan's training advantage.
As he walked and thought, he came around a corner and caught sight of Frigidpaw, all alone. Oh for our ancestors' sake, can't anyone in this Clan listen to orders!?
"Frigidpaw!" he hissed, trotting at an alarming speed over to the apprentice. "I hope there's someone else nearby, because if you're out here alone you're going to be in big trouble."

Uuuugggghhhhhhh...Why were warriors always so annoying! They rarely did their jobs when Dawnstar told them to, but now someone had decided to enforce her orders, when it was to annoy Frigispaw.
"Oh noooooo, I bet grandmother will add me to her pelt collection, for being out and hunting, even though I'm almost a warrior anywayyyy." she said with a sarcastic drawl. She didn't think the rules didn't apply to her because of her family, she just thought admitting you did something wrong was for the weak, and she wasn't about to let anyone scold her.

It took a great deal of effort for Shadowfur to resist grabbing Frigidpaw by the scruff and throwing her in the dirtplace. He was sick and tired of cats walking around acting as if they were holier than thou. How many times would Dawnstar have to threaten them, kill them, and restrict them before his Clanmates would just get it?
"Considering it was your grandmother who made the rule about warriors and apprentices being barred from leaving camp alone, she just might," he hissed. "Dawnstar holds her kin to high expectations. I'm sure she'll be incredibly disappointed to see how you've failed her. Come with me back to camp, right now."
He jerked his muzzle in the direction of camp, silently ordering her to go before him. He wasn't about to let her follow behind and give her a chance to run away.

Frigidpaw dragged her feet as she walked to camp. Her grandmother might not be super pleased, but if Shadowfur hadn't made a fuss, none of this would've happened and Dawnstar likely wouldn't have cared. Uuuughhhh...
It wasn't often that Mirehound made it all the way out to the Heartlands, but with the sun having set and the moon steadily rising in the sky, she found it rather calling as she had patrolled the territory. Nothing was out of the ordinary, so the rosetted Enforcer was free to enjoy the night time. Sleep had eluded her yet again, and instead of sitting restless in camp she figured she'd make use of the "trust" extended to her by Dawnstar to travel the territory solo.
Though she had planned for it to be a lowkey walk, it was hard to ignore the shadow of a wing that fell across her from up above. Lifting her gaze to the darkening sky she caught the tail of a hawk just as it disappeared over the tree tops. Her paws slowed and soon enough moved her fluidly under the shadows. Wings stretched far on each side it soared back around, though one of its outstretched limbs seemed to be flapping rapidly. Mirehound was tucked away behind a pine tree trunk when she watched it gracelessly fall from the sky and onto the ground, talons gripping the earth as it hopped around.
...Was it's wing damaged? Curiosity infiltrated her gaze as she peered at the creature, not daring to move a muscle. A gentle breeze blowing towards her indicated she was downwind, and with her black fur the chances of being spotted were low. The small hawk seemed to be poking around, letting out a pitiful caw and stretching its wing before folding it back.
A smirk came to the Enforcer's face at the same moment her claws slide out. She had done things quite dumber than this, and there was a chance that if she was discovered but a certain tom he'd surely smack her over the ears. But bringing back a falcon for dinner? It had her mouth watering at the thought.
Patience became her though as she remained still, waiting for what felt like moons before the hawk turned its back towards her. Mirehound waited a beat... and then another... before she leapt from the shadows like death itself. Claws bore down onto the back of the bird, pinning it underneath her and struggling a bit to hold it down as it thrashed underneath her. Just as she barred her teeth to go in for the killing bite the hawk twisted and its sharp beak pierced her cheek, just under her eye. The shadow hissed loudly and dug her claws in deeper, lifting one to deliver a heavy blow to the birds face.
The shriek that came from the bird split the gathering dusk and Mirehound lunged, jaws effectively snuffing out the life of the hawk. Its body went limp underneath her, feathers in a flurry around her.
After a moment Mirehound stepped off the hawk, padding around it to inspect it. A decent sized prey, but an idea was blooming in her head. Something... sinister was creeping its way up her paws, her legs, up through her chest and cheeks (where blood was welling at the shallow mark the beek had made) and finally to the tips of her ears. Without a second thought, she got to work.
[ skipping this actual part because it some of the stuff mire does or will start doing has me queasy sdkjfsd ]
One last wipe of her paw on her fur, stained red, and Mirehound stepped back to observe. With the head now separated and plucked of its flesh and feathers, there was a pretty intact skull. It wasn't super large by any means, but with the sharp curved beach attacked it looked rather fierce. The shadow used a claw to hook the empty socket in which beady eyes used to rest to further study it. Hmm. Honestly, it was larger than she would've thought.
Picking up the bird her mouth and the skull balanced on top, Mirehound slowly made her way back towards camp. It had been a rather successful outing, if she did say so herself. With each step the sinister feeling receeded though, and soon enough it vanished altogether without the shadow even realizing.
Slinking through the territory, it felt odd to be here when the sun was overhead. Still though it would mean that prey would be out and hopefully in abundance if Mirehound had any say in the matter. Paws crossed the ground in silence as her ears angled forward, knowing that unlike a normal patrol there was no need to really "lead" this one. Both cats with her were far more competent than the average ShadowClan warrior, so she had faith they would be able to return to camp with quite a few catches.
Still, it would be best to spread out to hunt. "I'll take this section over here." Mirehound nodded towards a part of the forest further in. Glancing back over at her patrolmates, she added, "We can spread out far enough to not disturb one another, but remain within earshot incase any of us run into unexpected trouble." Which, hopefully wouldn't happen.
With a nod the dark-as-night Enforcer slid off, jaws already parted to scent the air around her. Aside from the musky tang of ShadowClan, there wasn't that much around... but the further along she crept the more scents that became apparent.
[ @Undertaker @ninjaBlosss - I figure this patrol would be a good time to do our little mini tree collision plot between Sly and Mire, where Dawn could witness it if you're both alright with that? ]
The Toyger followed the bounce he had had in camp remaining in his step, though he quieted as they neared the Icy Heartlands. Slytiger didn't want to scare off all the prey, after all. Speaking of that, he should definitely show off some fantastic hunting moves to impress Dawnstar, even if she wouldn't care. It was still worth it!
The tom nodded at Mirehound's instructions, shooting the Shadow Queen a wink before he split off in search of prey. Or at least he was until the annoying cawing of a bird in his tree caught his attention. Was it... mocking him?! Oh, hell no. With bunched muscles, he leaped up the trunk of the tree, clawing his way up to the branch the bird was on. Of course, by the time he made it the bird had flown off, but at least it wasn't being annoying anymore.
Surveying the ground from his position, Slytiger decided he would try a new tactic. What if he pounced on prey from up here? No way it would see him coming. He saw a different bird pecking at the ground a little ways away from the branch he had perched on and crouched down, ready to pounce on the unsuspecting critter.
@Undertaker @tallulah [apologies for the delay, didn't get the mention for this]

Dawnstar padded behind the warrior and Enforcer, ears erect and tail high as they entered the Icy Heartlands. It's been a while since she bothered hunting around here. She half listened to Mirehound explain where they should hunt, and then padded off on her own, again ignoring all and any of Slytiger's horrible attempts at flirting. Being more cautious now of the noise she was making, she opened her mouth, testing the scent of the air for nearby prey. Dawnstar tasted the faint scent of blood in the air, nearly undetectable. She dropped into a crouch, following the scent forward slowly. now, peering through the leaves of a fern.
There was a big raven with a rodent clutched between its sharp talons. Stalking forward, tense muscles rippling under her long fur, belly grazing the grass with how low her crouch was. She froze pupils blowing out to the size of saucers before she launched herself forward, sharp claws digging into the startled raven who had tried to fly away. She brought it back down to the ground with her and quieted its noisy ruckus with a quick nip to the throat.
Before the injured rodent could make it too far, the leader quickly pounced on it and ended its miserable existence. The leader had mistaken the rodent to be a mouse, not sure how since this was clearly a rat. Pleasing having killed two birds with one pounce, she grabbed the raven, the rat, and began making her way back towards where she had last seen Slytiger and Mirehound. If they were still hunting, she could always go out and see if she could catch something else.

Having his patrol mates gathered, he slipped out of camp.
Not wanting this to take forever, his trek was somewhat fast paced.
Mentally determined to get this task at hand completed. Honestly patrols weren't really his cup a tea, but he didn't have a choice in the matter, so that's that.
Once Haven'gaze had reached the required destination, he waved his clanmates
forward. " Alright, since I assume the lot of you would like to just get this done," He began " Let's just get started. Fan out and collect as much as you can. Once you're done, we'll regroup." Simple instructions now laid out, Haven'gaze dismissed himself; leaving the others to begin their own search.
