Mintpaw let the cold water drops flow down on her face and whiskers, enjoying the freshness they always seem to bring to her mind. She was, however, starting to feel particularly cold. She decided to crouch down and try to get some warmth, tucking well her paws underneath her chest and belly.
A white pelt with a gray tail suddenly appeared on her side, but she didn't turn to see who it was. He smelled of Shadowclan, and she remembered the voice from two moons before. "Hello, Sagepaw." She flicked her ear in a greeting and waved her tail to invite him to sit with her.
Her eyes finally left the gray sky. Yeah, I must be the only one wondering about Starclan just right now... but am I? In any case, this apprentice was surely less thoughtful than her. Maybe I'm just worrying. Without a reason. She shook her head and turned to the Shadowclan apprentice, noticing how dark his green eyes looked under the gray, night sky.
[ @pathos ] - you don’t have to interact with him, he’s just going to park himself nearby hehe beastflame

The massive grey tabby tom padded heavily near the front of the group, albeit on the outskirts as they treaded through the territory. His thick pelt kept out the cold, but nothing could stop the droplets of water sinking into his fur at a steady pace. He flicked his ear in annoyance at the sensation and kept his head low to avoid water in his eyes. Although he was a Riverclanner, used to the water, it didn’t mean he enjoyed rain. It wasn’t the same as being submerged, carried by the water. It was just…annoying.
As the clan arrived, Beastflame scanned the area with amber eyes narrowed, picking up the scent of Shadowclan. They had apparently arrived second to the marsh-dwellers. Not wanting to interact with the other clan’s cats (he didn’t even really like interacting with cats from his own clan) he played it safe and settled beside Cloverdust a little ways from the other cats. He sat slightly behind her, not wanting to obscure her vision with his broad frame, but made sure he could see any potential threats over her head. Gatherings were known to be hot spots for tension between the clans, and although he never minded getting into the occasional brawl, he preferred to ensure his friend’s safety.
Sweeping his long tail over his paws, the warrior sat rigidly, giving a nod to Cloverdust in greeting. “Lovely weather, innit?” he asked, deep voice coated with sarcasm.
{semi-open, beware his bad attitude!}
Oh, a familiar face! Cloverdust couldn't help the bit of relief that washed over her at the sight of Beastflame. She relaxed from her earlier stiff posture and settled down into a loaf, wrapping her tail around her. At what her clanmate said, she gave a dramatic sigh and replied, "Quite!" If she could hold her paw to her forehead in a tragic, theatrical manner, she would, but her paws were much too comfortable in their current spot tucked underneath her. Her fur ruffled as another patter of rain seeped through her pelt.
"Couldn't they have picked another day to hold the Gathering? I don't believe that StarClan would mind..." Or at least, mind any more than they already did. With all the clouds covering the moon, it didn't seem like StarClan was too happy with them. Her ears flicked several times as more annoying droplets fell onto her head.

Sagepaw plopped down next to the soggy cat enthusiastically, flicking his head to shake some drops of rain off his whiskers. So kind of her to invite him to sit! With a secondary flick, he turned to observe the fish...wait! That was Mintpaw! A grin broke out across his face (or was he already smiling?) It had been difficult to recognize her in the rain, and with all the moons gone past...well, it hadn't been that long ago! He idly wondered if the weather was worth strolling the beach for.
The tom laughed as Mintpaw looked down from the sky. "How's it been? ShadowClan has been...normal. I got reassigned a mentor! Again! Heh. What about RiverClan? Well, actually I think Pikestar will say all that," Sagepaw rambled. He looked away from Mintpaw at all the other cats again, wondering what they were all doing as well.
@Wingnettle // omg, I had no idea that sage had been previously rped with mint, so much makes sense now! the past rps were so cute to read eek

DOGSPRING
tall, fluffy black-and white cat with blue eyes. floppy ears. they/them
Bounding after the rest of their Clan, Dogspring made their way into the clearing. It wasn't the most comfortable of days, the rain gluing their fluffy fur to their form, but Dogspring was as ecstatic as ever. Oh, a gathering! How lovely! Their tail wagged excitedly from side to side as they peered at the cats within the clearing, looking around for somewhere to sit. They saw Cloverdust near Beastflame, their eyes lighting up at the sight of the two felines. However, they merely waved their tail in a show of acknowledgement before moving off to another location. Finally spotting a cat that they hoped wouldn't mind their presence, Dogspring bounced over and sat down.
"Hi! What a wonderful day for a gathering!" they greeted, voice as chipper as it always was.
The queen was a tad slower than the rest of her Clan, feeling overwhelmed just a tad. This was her night off; all the other queens can deal with the little rascals in the nursery. She huffed a tad, closing in on the Seastones. This would be quite fun! She hadn't been to a Gathering in a long while, so she hoped nothing too chaotic would happen.. Hopefully!!

Sapstrike walked toward the back of the group as they padded across the beach. However, unlike some others, they didn't stop to socialize with other Clans, instead sitting down immediately. They had never been the biggest fan of talking to those from outside RiverClan, for no reason other than not knowing them. Sure, the Gathering could be an opportunity to make friends from other Clans, but they chose not to.
So they sat there, the rain slicking down patches of their fluffy fur until they heard a voice, which appeared to be talking to them. They weren't in a very talkative mood, especially not for someone from another Clan, but they quickly realized it was a Clanmate.
"Hello!" Sapstrike replied, their voice not unhappy, albeit not as cheerful as their Clanmate's. Their head was spinning, trying to remember who this was, but they quickly decided it didn't matter. "The rain is nice," they agreed with a slight laugh.
Poisonpaw sighed, standing in the Gathering. They were bored. The black apprentice looked around, their poison-green eyes scanning their surroundings.
Having just entered the group of cats, Seapaw walked slowly and painfully towards an apprentice that smelt of Shadowclan. They were a black cat with green eyes, interesting. Seapaw slowly, plopped down next to them. "Your a Shadowclan apprentice aren't you? I don't think I've ever seen you at a gathering. Is this your first time? I've been too two." Seapaw meowed, he was blasting questions at this poor apprentice. "Apologies for asking so many questions, It's just what I do ... what do you eat in Shadowclan" Even if he had apologized, Seapaw couldn't help but ask another question.

Poisonpaw looked over at the other apprentice. "My name is Poisonpaw, this is my first Gathering, yes I'm from ShadowClan, and we eat frogs, mice, birds, and that's it."
