Wildkit heard every word. So every highrank, but Bumble was gone? What was this clan coming too? This was his home though and he was going to do anything he can to help his clan. Apprentice or not Thunderclan needed him. He could feel it. His clan was his home and he was going to make sure it remained that way no matter what.

She was late but to be fair she had been taking a snooze in the nest, it was too soft in her defense! She didn't spot her siblings right away but that wasn't on her mind anymore. Especially after what was coming out of the big cats mouth, and it sounded freighting to hear. Did they just lose nearly all their big cat roles that quickly? At least she could feel the negative emotions that seemed to be coming off few of the other arounds around the meeting so far. Leafkit was sure that if someone had something to say about this that meant it wasn't good and that let her feeling unsure about everything now.

Thrushstar was missing? In all the chaos, Autumnpaw hadn’t even noticed the leader’s disappearance. A strange feeling gnawed away in her stomach as the deputy continued to list the names of those who’d been declared missing. Sundust too? And Cinderpaw…demoted? That shook the young apprentice to her core. Cinderpaw had taught Autumnpaw so much, and she couldn’t imagine the clan without her as medicine cat apprentice. Did Spiderthroat and Roseraven know what they were doing?

A million questions in her head, Autumnpaw crouched near the back of the crowd, for once too tired to ask them. She just wanted Springpaw, or Foxflurry, or even Winterpaw to make a snide comment or two. So the little calico cat just sat there silently with half-closed eyes, hoping someone would reassure her that everything was going to be ok.

Ugh. “Bumblebreak, quick question, why are we putting the family murderer back in a position of power? Her previous malpractice got two cats killed, who knows if she wouldn’t get even more killed? I don’t support your decision of bringing her back in that position just for the sake of it, I understand she is genuinely the only cat that has herb knowledge but…why? Also Spiderthroat?! The guy who LOST our medicine cat? Is that not a huge red mushroom to you? It may be your first time as leader but, you also demoted the not murderer? Why not just have her actually do her damn job for once, she claims she wants to protect the children, well we have a few with injuries and I haven’t seen dung done about it! So could we please have Miss. Murderer and Miss. Child Guard actually do something?”
Houndchaser spoke flatly, avoiding any senseless anger, they didn’t want to waste precious emotions on stuff things like this. Bumblebreak clearly hadn’t thought that demotion through and it clearly showed. The cats blue eyes meeting the deputies green one. The warrior was sick of the leadership change, everyone was and it was as clear as the damn river.
“Also, what makes you so sure you won’t end up like the other leaders we have had. You said you know we have a quote on quote curse, why even allow yourself to fall into it? It doesn’t make logical sense,” Houndchaser grumbled towards her, directly speaking to the Shecat that sat on the Stormcrest. A small snarl forming at the edge of their lips. Houndchaser had no complaints about the rule put in place about the old camp, they were actually glad it was addressed, for once.

Wolfkit didn't understand the gravity of the announcements, and was content to remain on Bumblebreak's back with a loud purr in his throat.

Damn. ThunderClan was really crumbling. Alderstep blinked lazily, looking around at all the other cats with barely a thought in his mind. Bumblebreak had better know how to lead the clan. That's all the clan needs: a capable leader. And then maybe things will get less chaotic. He looked back up to the deputy, giving a slow nod to show that he understood. He guessed the rule was to make sure nobody else went missing. He hated to comply, especially when everything in him screamed to go look for Rabbit, but he knew he had to for "safety reasons." The threats helped, too.

Shimmerbeak listened to Bumblebreak as it wrapped its tail around their paws. So Thrush-whatever-his-name-is-now was gone? Sigh, It was unavoidable at this point. Oh? Bumblebreak has decided to demote Cinderpaw and Sundust was missing. The clan was down to 1 high rank now! Whatever. Blah blah making Roseraven and Spiderthroat the current healers blah blah if Bumblebreak pulls Thunderclan past leaders we can deal with it.

Then another voice broke through the crowd complaining about what Bumblebreak just said. Shimmerbeak rolled its eyes, tail lashing behind them.

"Who gives a crap about what Starclan thinks! I personally believe they're this close to just abandoning us all. On the topic of Spiderthroat.. I don't think Bumblebreak is stupid to trust someone without healing knowledge to help with healing duties, otherwise she would have made just Roseraven do it. Do try and use your brain. I know you have one."

Shimmerbeak said to Mallowheart before turning their gaze back to the Stormcrest.

Spiderfoot sighed. Great, more havoc for ThunderClan. Couldn't they catch a break? It was as if someone just absolutely had to come along and ruin everything. Wow... Well, the mottled dark brown tom was looking forward to what ThunderClan's latest disappointments had in store for them.

Oh dear. That was quite a lot to take in at once.

Thrushstar gone, Cinderpaw demoted, Sundust missing as well... oh dear, oh dear. She should have seen this coming, really. Ever since they had gotten to the new camp, only Bumblebreak seemed to really be doing anything. It was a shame. A damn shame. Gentledoe wanted her home to thrive. Not be brought down by barely-there leaders and medicine cats. Though, with no medicine cats, what was to happen now? Bumblebreak had appointed temporary medicine cats, of course, but how would real ones be chosen? How could they be sure the loop wouldn't continue?

She shook her head, focusing on the more lighthearted tidbit of information that had been given. Bumblebreak was leader now! Gentledoe felt her lips curl into a smile, eyes shining brightly with pride. She deserved it. Stars, did Bumblebreak deserve this position. She had practically already been leading the Clan!

However, cats had begun to voice their concerns already. Gentledoe frowned, head spinning around to peer at Mallowheart and Houndchaser.

"Ah... how can we be sure Cinderpaw knew much, darlings? She has been a medicine cat apprentice for quite a bit of time, yet as far as I remember, she has not done much in her rank. Focusing only on the kits and apprentices of the Clan will get you nowhere. StarClan may have chosen her, but Bumblebreak has full right to remove her for the good of our Clan. We cannot wait moons and moons for her to do something," she stated, bicolored eyes holding an unintelligible glint to them, "While I understand being worried due to the circumstances, ThunderClan has been struggling for far too long, and if change is necessary to take a pawstep in the right direction, then so be it."

As for the other concerns...

"Roseraven and Spiderthroat are being appointed until another medicine cat is found. It is not like they will remain in the rank for good- just as a holding spot so we are not left entirely without healers," she added, "We cannot be certain that Bumblebreak will not follow in the pawsteps of other leaders. However, it is quite rude to jump to conclusions before we have even given her a chance, yes? Have you not seen that since the disaster of our former camp sinking, Bumblebreak has been doing all that she can to keep us all afloat, exhausting herself to ensure the safety and stability of our Clan?"

With that, Gentledoe curled her tail over her paws, watching the two who had spoken with a carefully guarded expression.
