“What all do ya remember?”
Oh boy, what a question.

When asked this question, Raccoonsun tried to dig into her brain to try and find something, so she didn’t just have to say oh, ya know, absolutely nothing.
Because, honestly? It felt humiliating to remember nothing, but she didn’t know why she felt so shameful about it.

“Nothing before I woke up with the injury that caused this scar.” She said “Guess I really banged my head or something. I remember basic instincts too, thankfully. That would suck if I didn’t.”
It made her worry a bit less about that assessment with Fadingstar, since she had instincts, at least.
Though, she still may embarrass herself somehow.
Maybe she should just stop thinking about that for now.

So, she did.
Rowanmane had said he wasn’t born and raised in RiverClan, which made her curious to where he grew up.
But, she kept it to herself.

“Well…at leas’ you could remember survival skills. If you ever need help with training to freshen up, I’ll happily mentor ya’ a bit.” He offered the best smile he could, with his jaw being all weird feeling still.

“Do you- remembah’ family? Sorry- I don’ mean ta’ push or anythin.” He said, his tongue getting in the way of talking normally.

“I’ll have to take you up on that at some point.” Raccoonsun replied.

Then came the next question.

Family.
Something… something about that word made her feel off.

Maybe that wasn’t a memory she wanted to dig for.
And it seemed like her memory was blocking that out the most.

“No, nothing about… family.” She pushed down her hesitation as she spoke “For some reason, that’s the hardest to remember.”
Maybe she was just an orphan or something.

Something told her that wasn’t quite right.

Goldfish had returned to the territory after her patrol, a slightly chilled breeze feeling refreshing. She wanted to regain the stressless feeling she'd felt previously. Golden eyes flicking to the tree she'd climbed, Goldfish hauled herself up once again and looked out over the mountains. The view was breathtaking. But looking down and squinting she could spot a body of water. A sudden pang of homesickness as she settled to lay down in the tree. Memories of climbing up a tree to drop a live squirrel on her mentors head with Shellwhisker-- Shellpaw, at the time-- and Spotty flicked back and forth in her head. The need to run Scorched her bones, but she stayed in the bow of the tree, staring longingly out over the landscape. But they couldn't go home yet. Ah, well... perhaps she could spar later. But for now The Ace of Spades was relaxed. Sure, homesick and sick of all the stupid rocks and freezing, bad for swimming water (She felt like a duck in a desert) that seemed to tease and taunt the tortoiseshell. A neutral sigh escaped from a black and goldenrod maw. At least the view was enjoyable. Sort of.

RiverClan always remains. A nice thought, yes, but maybe it wouldn’t this time, and... ugh, her mind was just going in circles. Just think the same things over and over again, because that was going to make things better, right? Famously not. The only things she could do were with her claws and teeth, so do things with her claws and teeth she would. And she was talking in circles, too. Rambling about her opinions and feelings without thought, like her usual filter was broken. Nobody cares, Heroneye, about your random musings, so just do something.

“Maybe, while we’re here, we could do a bit of hunting,” Heroneye offered. Now that RiverClan was essentially starting from scratch with its stores, that wouldn’t be a bad idea, right?

She stood, shaking off her bad leg a bit as she did so.
It got stiff if it was still for too long, something she had noticed despite not having it this way for long.

“Lead the way.” Caveclaw suggested, a slightly kinder tone than they usually spoke in.

HUNTING PATROL 3

Antlerbranch scowled when Eveningthaw didn't lead them out. "Fine, follow me then," he snarled, his paws moving. They were already behind because mister patrol leader was late, and he really wasn't in the mood to get chewed out by dusklion. "Huntin. Now," he growled, looking around.

It didn't help that Antlerbranch wasn't as skilled with land hunting as he was with fishing, so the clan would have to make do with what he could do. The tom opened his jaws to let prey scent flow in. The closest was.... a mouse. Yeah, alright. He could do that. Antlerbranch dropped himself into a hunting crouch, slowly creeping forward. Once he was close enough, he pounced. The mouse let out a squeal but was quickly cut of as the warrior snapped the mouse's neck. Prey for the clan. Sadly, he couldn't find anything else, but hey, he contributed.

He picked up his mouse and trotted back to his patrolmates, dropping his prey at his paws. "Managed to get a mouse. What about ya?" he asked, green hues flickering between Eveningthaw and Redwater.

Seabreeze nodded silently at Covepaw's agreement and waited for the apprentice to make his way over before leading the pair of them out of the camp and into Riverclan's new 'territory.' The river was different up in the mountains, moves different, but it was still a river and Seabreeze would just need to be extra cautious when teaching the skill to the young apprentice. The lionheart sighed slightly as he over looked the water, well no point in waiting around. Seabreeze took a few steps towards the river's bank and then into the water. It swirled and twisted his fur and he was still debating if it was safe to teach a newcomer in... They could try but if it gets a little to risky they'll do something else, like hunting or something. Does Covepaw need to be taught hunting?

"I think its alright to teach in but if it starts being too much for you than we can practice something else. Have you been taught hunting yet?" The lionheart asked as he moved his blue gaze from the water to the apprentice he was teaching. Covepaw was excitable but an avid learner and helper from what Seabreeze has seen of the younger tom so he wasn't too worried about him not listening which was like the only reason why Seabreeze was considering continuing with the lesson in the first place. Well, time to start. "Swimming comes pretty naturally, or at least, swimming to survive. It's through lessons that we began to see Riverclan's grace and ease with the skill than the fumbling that any cat could do. Don't worry though, its practice that really helps in the end so if you don't get it on your first try just know that that's natural and normal! Some things to consider before beginning... if you lose control of yourself in the current, take controlled deep breaths and don't fight against it. This may seem obvious but when panic settles in, nothing is obvious anymore. If you get under the water and get turned around, take a second to watch the water, if you let out just a little bit of air then the bubbles will go up and you'll be able to follow them the correct way."

Seabreeze paused then, and with a tilt of his head, addressed the apprentice before continuing. He didn't want to overwhelm Covepaw with every little piece of information immediately. Safety things first, then he would explain the basics of swimming, and then they would practice. The lesson would be easier to remember if you break it down into chunks. At least, that's how he saw it. "Any questions so far? Sorry about all the boring safety stuff, but its important to go over first, especially when learning in a river."

Heroneye began to stand, hunched over the river. The rapids seemed a bit rougher here than in the forest, but maybe that was just because everything was a bit rougher than in the forest. The few plants that lived there, the ground, and even birds’ calls just felt a bit sharper and more threatening. So why not the river, too? Hey, maybe the fish here bite back here, too. That sort of thing wouldn’t be that out of place, really.

Heroneye’s tail swept impatiently over the ground, sending little pebbles and bits of gravel and dust tumbling about here and there. She was waiting for a fish and the perfect chance to strike.
