Frostpaw's nervousness melting some of Lightningpaw's usual cheeky mask away, the lithe calico found herself giving a more sympathetic, friendly smile at her companion. As much as she liked to tease, she didn't well want to make a perfectly nice clanmate more anxious on a simple, light hearted conversation. "That's proper good, eh? You let me know if they stop being so nice. I'll strike at em, quick as lightning. Poor bloke won't even see it coming," she purred, a small giggle bubbling forth.

As the topic of her own well being surfaced, however, the Oriental shorthaired mix's face gained it's cheeky grin once more, the mask well in place. Truth be told, she was exhausted. It had been tough, truly, to keep up with everything of late. So many injured, so many herbs needed, and the constant, nagging feeling that they were using too much. This was a new home, a new territory for them. They hadn't yet tested how many herbs it could provide before the lean seasons, and they hadn't even been able to gain a proper stock yet. If only... if only she could grow some of these herself. A fool's dream, she supposed. All that said and done, however, she was not about to saddle poor Frostpaw with her own misgivings and ailments. It was her job to make others better, not worry them unnecessarily.

"Ah, you know me, love. I'm too obnoxious for anything to hold me down," she mewed, raising a brow in mock smugness.

Before she could say anything else, the spotted molly paused, staring up at Twilightstar once more as the leader began speaking, a frown slowly forming in her brow. Had she heard right? Couldn't be? Tigerpaw was... was becoming a warrior? Now? Of all times? After her display in the battle?

Tail lashing out once in obvious distaste, Lightningpaw's lip curled, remembering how the apprentice had abandoned Leechscar. She could still feel it. The guilt in her stomach at having called out for someone - anyone - to help Tigerpaw when she had been outnumbered only to have the apprentice turn tail and abandon her savior without a single scratch on her pelt to deal with the warriors that had almost hurt her. The selfishness, the lack of loyalty... the cowardice. And it had all been the medicine cat apprentice's fault. If it hadn't been for her, Leechscar wouldn't have gotten involved. If it hadn't been for her, his life wouldn't have been endangered so recklessly by the warrior aged apprentice. And yet here they were. Standing at her warrior ceremony. Celebrating her bravery and loyalty after that pitiful display.

She couldn't help it. She snorted. The whole thing reeked worse than a pile of fresh badger droppings. From Tigerpaw's oath - an oath she had already proven she would never upkeep - to the traits she'd been celebrated with. She wondered what Leechscar would think if he was here. The spotted molly hadn't a clue if the gray giant was around. She had been to tired to seek him out. Despite her disgust with the whole thing, Lightningpaw managed to stay quiet, refusing to chant out the new warrior's name alongside the others, but giving her the time to celebrate. Hopefully she wouldn't be the disappointment the calico was already expecting of her in the future... but then again, that was the fate that befell most warriors in the end.

As the clan finished calling out the new warrior's name and congratulating her, she noticed a disgruntled medicine cat apprentice who didn't seem to be in a delightful mood. Twilightstar would have simply assumed that Leechscar was rubbing off on Lightningpaw, but knowing Lightningpaw something was probably bothering her. Twilightstar would have to pester Leechscar to check on her. She'd do it herself but she was pretty sure Lightningpaw wasn't as comfortable with her as she was Leechscar.

"Duskkit." Twilightstar pulled her attention away from her worries and looked at the young kit. "Thank you for your patience." She purred warmly. It was difficult to find kits with an abundance of that. "Duskit, from this day on you'll be known as Duskpaw. Your mentor will be Ashendawn. I hope she will pass down all that she knows to you."

After giving the clan a moment to celebrate the new apprentice, Twilightstar ended the meeting by leaping down from her perch.

Bearpelt and Foxkit cheered Duskpaw and then left the meeting,

Birdkit was still bored and not paying attention thought she heard the leader say the name Duskpaw. Assuming that a kit had been made into a apprentice and the new appretince was the cat standing by the leader she cheered Duskpaw! After she cheered she left the meeting, happy that it was finally over.

Newtberry joined in on the cheering. It was always great to have more apprentices, that means less apprentice jobs for the warriors. This he was truly happy about. He looked over at the new warrior, Tigermist. He walked up to her, nodding in greeting. "So, denmates, huh?" He smiled in welcome.

Airkit and Blossomkit continued to play-tussle in the nursery, oblivious to the meeting going on, although Airkit did stop to wonder where everyone went. At that moment Blossomkit leaped on him and pinned him down, resulting in her winning. Again.

Wheattail padded to Tigermist's side, the queen narrowed her eyes at the tom, making sure she wasn't making Tigermist uncomfortable in anyway. Wheattail was overly protective of her shy friend. Wheattail saw Airkit and Blossomkit tusseling. "Hey! You two, if your to tussle then go outside, my kits are trying to sleep." she said in a soft yet scolding mew. Gosh! If her kits woke up she'd never hear the end of there crying.
