"Outside camp?" Nettlekit gasped at Basilkit's suggestion. "But Shiningskies says kits are not supposed to go outsi-- eeK!"
Suddenly, Nettlekit fell victim to Basilkit's menacing pounce. She squeaked on impact, wheezing a wet cough that sawed out of her lungs like jagged metal on wood. Her eyes watered at the pain. Why did the cold air hurt her so much? Did everyone else feel this way? A few more high-pitched hacks escaped her muzzle before she attempted to wiggle free from beneath her sibling. "Basilkit! EEEP!!" She batted at his face, irritation quickly melting into a fit of giggles. "Ruekit! Daddy! Help me!!" She insisted, unknowing if Ruekit was caught as well.
Right after Tulippaw's thoughts on Twilightstar's previous announcement wrapped up, the lilac-gray she-cat began to speak again, talking about a curriculum for WindClan's kits. Her ears pricked with interest. The leader's explanation was long-winded, but it basically boiled down to giving the Clan's kits more education and information. Tulippaw had been a proper kit. She hadn't snuck out of camp, eaten anything she wasn't supposed to, or otherwise broken any rules. My mother raised me right, she thought proudly, sitting up a little taller. But she understood that many kits didn't have parents who taught them properly - or didn't have parents at all. Sucks to be them, I guess. But this curriculum would do wonders, wouldn't it? They would get proper education and hopefully learn some manners! Yet it seemed to be more than that. There were specialized lessons on hunting, herbs, and the other Clans! Tulippaw was beginning to feel jealous. Why didn't I get those things? She would've been the smartest kit in camp. Oh, well. I'm an apprentice now, so I'm smarter than all of them. At least Hawkblaze had made sure to teach her about the other Clans.
Overall, the kit curriculum sounded like a good idea. Tulippaw blinked in confusion as Twilightstar ordered the deputy, Fallownose, and her son, Leechscar, to come onto the Breezerock with her. Why? Were they in trouble? The calico she-cat leaned forward. Was there about to be some juicy gossip? And to think Fallownose taught me hunting not that long ago! But Twilightstar didn't look upset. If anything, she looked... uncomfortable. Shivering, her fur fluffed out... What was wrong with her? It didn't take long for it to register for Tulippaw. She must be cold! Tulippaw herself was cold, although she had the warm bodies of her Clanmates surrounding her. Her fur was thick, but it was short, and the chill was biting into her tri-colored pelt. She had it fluffed out. But it also did not stop the chill from seeping from the cold, sandy floor of the clearing into her delicate pink paw pads.
Fallownose and Leechscar came onto the rock. So, they were just there to provide company and warm her up. Tulippaw felt a little stab of jealousy. She should have family and friends beside her to keep a perfect, beautiful cat such as herself to be warm. But no, they were either dead, missing, or unable to be beside her. That's so unfair! Twilightstar was the leader, though, so she was entitled to whatever she wanted. Tulippaw shifted her dainty paws to get her blood flowing and continued listening to the meeting. Just some cats volunteering and getting accepted for the position, and... Messypaw. She tried to keep her expression pleasant and exceeded at it. Okay, so it made sense for non-Clan cats to join in, no matter the age. But Badgerpaw behaved like a kit enough for it to be fitting that he'd want to be around kits.
Apprentices could help out? Tulippaw wanted to volunteer! But she'd be becoming a warrior in who knew how long. Did she have time to help out a bunch of kits? I'll think about it. It would be a good popularity boost, but perhaps Twilightstar might not want her in the position. Why not? she wondered irritably. I could help teach them how to be perfect! Yet she had a feeling that might not be as accepted as it should be, and she could get in trouble. Ugh. There's so much I could give this Clan. Why don't they appreciate me? The dainty calico loved her Clan, of course, but some things could be such a pain. At the dismissal of the meeting, Tulippaw rose to her paws and headed back to the apprentices' den. She was cold, and she absolutely had to warm up. This weather was dreadful!
Even in the mist it was clear to see Lightningkit's short, sleek fur fluff up as her hackles raised, obviously displeased with the apprentice's response. Still, it was a response, which she assumed was an improvement. Watching the tom walk away, she stuck out her tongue at him, throwing a dismissive snort with a nod as he entered the apprentice's den. Normally she would have followed the apprentice and made a further nuisance of herself until she got some sort of reaction, but from what the warrior had stated earlier, this was the best reaction the mouse brained tom had given in a long while. Not only that, but she could hear paws approaching her, and soon enough the gray molly stood beside her, a concerned tone in her voice as she spoke.
Lightningkit's cheeks puffed up as she prepared a rebuttal, not wanting to go back to the nursery. That meant being alone in the dark with her thoughts, and she didn't want to go back to the nightmares just yet. It felt like she'd just woken up, and she was too tired to properly fight for her sanity... at least for now. The mention of her mother, however, made any complaint die before it even began, knowing full well the warrior was right. Gingerheart would worry for her if she was gone for too long, especially after the disappearance of her... well, everyone.
They were all gone, weren't they? Even Uncle Squirrelear had vanished, leaving Lightningkit as Gingerheart's only family left... or at least as far as the kit was aware. She wasn't like those silly toms, though. She actually cared about her mother and her well being, and took great leaps to ensure she would never break her heart. If dealing with the nightmares gave her mother some peace of mind, she would gladly lose some for now.
"Fine... I'll go," Lightningkit pouted, her small body deflating in defeat momentarily before her eyes gained a more serious expression, turning a no nonsense gaze at the warrior. "Keep an eye on him. I think he wants to talk, he just... doesn't know he does. Maybe find another apprentice or warrior to talk to him with you? You can tag team him into annoyance. Then he'll have to talk," she mewed, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips as she finished. With a twitch of her tail, she waved a reluctant goodbye before running off towards the nursery, shielding her mind as best she could against the horrors to come.
She burst out snickering as soon as the mossball hit his face. He had totally fallen for it! “Gotcha!” She flicked her tail around playfully when he flung the mossball back at her. “Bring it! You’ll never beat me!” She meowed with a cocky tip of her head. A big grin spread across her maw. Although, it looked more mischievous than what might be expected from a kit her age. This is fun! Buttercupkit darted forward. She leapt and caught the ball in her jaws. When they landed she launched the ball back at Risingkit. She felt a little bit of the gloom that followed her around lift. Is this what having a friend is like? She liked this feeling.
Risingkit tumbled with the ball, landing in a pile of moss
he popped his head back up, having a mossy hairdo and launched the ball back, "if thats so Cowslipkit then come play with us!" he meowed to the other kit

The brown molly felt her ear drop for a moment, she would rather have gone hunting, but she did need to up her battle skills, so she forced away her disappointment and forced herself to be excited. "Alright! Should I just start with the front paw attack?" She asked, picking up her paw and licking it. It was a new habit she picked up somewhere, she didn't know where she got it from, but it was either that or tearing up the ground, and she didn't really feel like doing that, so she just licked it. She noticed she did it more when she was either bored, or anxious, which wasn't very often. She diverted her attention on her mentor, focusing even though she seemed distracted.
Ashflight ears flicked as he saw her ears drop they slighed lightly, "We can do something else after, I just want to make sure you remeber." His tail flicked and he nodded, "Run through what I taught on me, remeber to keep your claws seathed." He trusted his apprentice but you never know, sometimes that could get excited and forget.

Nervous whiskers twitched as the young warrior's broad head ducked to make its way into the apprentice's den. It felt odd being back, not because he had been made a warrior, but because of how long he'd been staying by the camp's entrance so far. He doubted his old nest by the corner would have even a hint of its old owner, and wouldn't be surprised if a new apprentice had taken over it at this point already. Not like he could mind when he had clearly not been using it. Waiting for his eyes to get accustomed to the dimmer light of the den, Snowybreeze's gaze swept around for Ashpaw, his first student for WindClan's new kit curriculum.
The massive tom couldn't say he hadn't been surprised when he'd been informed Ashpaw had been interested in the introductory course to predators and self-defense, having assumed Ashclaw would have taken care of such lessons early on in Ashpaw's apprenticeship. Still... perhaps the warrior valued other qualities over battle tactics for newer apprentices? Whatever the reason, he was happy to help further along the white molly's apprenticeship... once he found her, of course. Ears perking up as he spotted a bright spot of white fur in a nest close to others, he called towards it, hoping to StarClan he wasn't interrupting some other apprentice's no doubt well deserved nap! "Ashpaw, are you ready for your lesson?" the giant mewed softly, sticking close to the entrance as to not step on any stray tails along the way.

// Sorry for the random mention to Nyan, but I didn't want to interrupt the roleplay between Ashpaw and Tulippaw, so I am counting this as a separate instance unless the both of you would like to have this actually count as an interruption. \\

“No! My mentor hasn’t been neglecting me!” Ashpaw insisted,”Also, sorry for not understanding you. I don’t really have the best hearing but the same could be said about my eyesight…”
(If nyan is fine with it, I’d say this is an interruption)
Noticing a cat talking to her, she turned around and saw a blur that she could make out as… Snowybreeze*? “Oh! Yeah!” Ashpaw answered quickly, barely hearing the massive tom’s voice,”My lesson! I’m ready for it.”

"Do you and Barley have kits?" - Bella
Dewkit watched intently and attempted to copy what Leopardfire was doing. They brought their body closer to the ground, going slow and constantly checking themselves against the warrior. Dewkit beamed up at her once they thought they had done it right.
Leopardfire smiled at them purring as she now striaghtened her tail to where it was off the ground. "Your doing just fine dewkit, Great job." She purs praise to the young kit. "Now make sure your tail is straight out but not on the ground like so." She mews "You ready to try to keep up on the moss ball like its a rabbit?"
Badgerpaw stalked out of his nest in the apprentice's den and padded over to the fresh-kill pile, his belly growled angrily with hunger. But he ignored it as he set the rabbit he hunted with Twilightstar on the pile. After standing at the pile for many moments, the young tuxedo picked out a sparrow that had been deposited by a Clanmate earlier and left, satisfied with his choice of meal.
