Leopardfire smiled a little bit and made a moss ball and showed the little dewkit how to crouch step by step.
Leopardfire looks at them. "First step lower your front and hind at the same time." She mews lowering her front half to where it was just off the ground. Demonstrating how to hold the front close to the ground first. Then she slowly lowered her back onto her hanches. Then looked at Dewkit.

Lightningkit blinked once. Twice. Thrice... just for good measure. The deadpanned look on her face once a familiar visage on her young features, it had been a rarity this past moon. Try as much as she could, she simply could not make sense of what the problem seemed to be.
Ear twitching with the same hint of frustration the wiry framed calico always seemed to get whenever she felt stumped on something, Lightningkit couldn't help but take a deep breath and sigh. Was this a warrior thing? Making things so complicated when they couldn't be simpler? It surely explained why her mother seemed to fret at little things from time to time. Turning her restless gaze from one gray cat to the other, Lightningkit's tail thumped on the ground rhythmically, the gears on her mind twisting and turning until they suddenly stopped as she refused to try to make sense of the situation any further.
Better make a double note of it...
A snort escaped the little molly at this thought, the first one she'd had in longer than she could remember. Turning the deadpanned - and mildly judgmental - look on the warrior besides her, the kit's whiskers twitched with mild irritation. "Well that's not a problem. Not really. Just talk to him until he talks back. And if he doesn't want to talk? Well, just stare back at him. Maybe he just hasn't been glared at hard enough," Lightningkit mewed with a matter of fact voice, her kit logic flawless as far as she was concerned.
Getting up with determination, the lithe calico's tail gave a lazy sway in the air, swirling mist as it moved. A small smirk as she felt some energy coursing through her body nestled it's way familiarly onto her face, like an old friend who'd been missing for far too long. She gave the warrior a cheeky look, her mind sharper and fresher feeling, this distraction providing an escape from the thoughts that had as of late incessantly bombarded her mind. She didn't know how long this vital wave would last her, but by the stars she would ride alongside it for as long as she could. She was tired of being tired, she was ready for something new.
"Lucky for you, this kit doesn't need to be sent anywhere. It's always easier to say sorry than to ask for permission, anyways," Lightningkit mewed easily in a rather presumptuous voice, her mask almost cracking slightly at this as the words wavered for a moment before she shook her doubts and oppressing guilt away. She would not fall back... not now, not yet. She was not done with this surge of stamina, and she would not relent it until she had used it all up. Throwing another sassy grin at the warrior, Lightningkit padded forward, a confident bound on her step as she made her way towards the lonely apprentice.

A scrawny little kit scampered in without a word. Jer features were what was strongly associated with Windclan: large mouse ears, a small thread-like tail and a lithe build. Cowslipkit radiated a strange aura of over-confidence and pride. Promptly perking her larger-than-normal ears up and announcing "It is I! Queen of Mossball!". Cowslipkit's dull baby blue eyes glistened in the bright sun. Despite how warm it appeared; this did not reflect on the undeniable chill present outside of the nursery.

Re: WindClan Clearing
Lightningkit
It was all Lightningkit could do to not have her jaw drop open. The warrior had been right. The apprentice had either not realized they were speaking to him or he'd flat out ignored the start of a conversation. First of all, rude. Even with her penchant for getting into trouble and coming across as a bit... condescending, snarky, blunt... well rude, really, she never really attempted to do so. And she would never willingly ignore someone who simply came over to say hi, much less a friend!
Ears flattened on her head in open frustration, the small kit squared off in front of the tom. Scalepaw, her friend had called him, correct? Speaking of rude, she had forgotten to ask for the warrior's name... and she seemed to know hers. Oops... No matter, no matter. She would properly ask for the warrior's name later.
"Oi, big guy, down here!" Lightningkit grumbled, her tail held high as she puffed her chest out importantly in front of the vacantly staring apprentice. "Heard your name's Scalepaw. That right? What are you doing around here at this hour? Aren't you an apprentice? Shouldn't you be out training? I mean, I guess you would prefer that to lounging around here if you can't even say hi to your friend? You shouldn't just stare like that, you know. We aren't mind readers. Nobody can help if you don't speak up," the lithe calico almost snarled, her tail lashing out as she got increasingly frustrated with the tom, her last words reverberating something inside her as she spoke them.
At first thought Lightningkit could not make sense of it, so she pushed the feeling to the back of her mind for now. She would have time for it later. At the moment she had other things to focus on. Like helping the admittedly nice warrior figure out what was up with her friend. Despite the snarky tone and condescending attitude, the young kit was honestly concerned. The warrior seemed to honestly care for the apprentice, and that wouldn't have happened if he'd always acted in such a manner... so what had happened to make him act so? Could the incident at the Thunderpath shaken him so?
If Lightningkit were to be honest with herself - which she currently wasn't, there was no way she was poking that piece of crowfood which seemed ready to burst - she could understand. Being so shaken you just shut yourself off. If the young molly could, she would get rid of the memories that had been plaguing her as of late, and the sense of dread and guilt that gnawed at her very core. The result of her failure to act, really. Because actions - or lack there of - had consequences, and it just so happened that they didn't always apply to the one who failed to properly react. But perhaps she could help here? Maybe it was time to stop ignoring those who were too stubborn, and drag them tooth and claw to get the help they so desperately needed... before it was too late, before they lay at their final rest.

Dewkit watched intently and attempted to copy what Leopardfire was doing. They brought their body closer to the ground, going slow and constantly checking themselves against the warrior. Dewkit beamed up at her once they thought they had done it right.

Re: WindClan Clearing
Orp ) Cowslipkit wasn't satisfied with staying within the restrictions of the crowded Nursery all day. Queens and warriors all claimed that it was safer in there and you weren't meant to leave but, in her eyes, rules were made to be broken. The lynx point marched out the cramped den and into the bustling clearing. Cats of all different shapes and sizes were arguing, laughing, talking and gossiping. None of them even seemed to notice the small molly brush past, trying to pick up little bits of their conversations but ultimately being disappointed by how underwhelming it was.

Re: WindClan Apprentices' Den
~ TULIPPAW OF WINDCLAN ~
Tulippaw was immediately disappointed by Ashpaw's indifference. She had just told her she'd been trained by none other than Fallownose! He was the deputy, for StarClan's sake! Any normal cat would've been impressed. But not Ashpaw. To add another layer of offense, the fluffy albino didn't acknowledge what she had said about Badgerpaw, or should she say, Messypaw. Nothing about it! No sympathy for the black-and-white tom's threats and no buoying her popularity by telling her what a good thing she was doing by making up for her "mistakes." Then Ashpaw started blabbing about something Tulippaw didn't understand - at least, not at first. She stared at her, letting shock and offense flow into her expression; her rich, vivid green eyes stretched wide. What is she meowing about? She could understand Ashpaw's declaration of loving to hunt and wanting the best education by employing Tulippaw to teach her, but why had she said "sure"?
Then it clicked in the calico's brain, and her brief respite of flattery flooded into disbelief and scorn. Ashpaw thought... she was asking her to go hunting? Could the other apprentice hear, or did she have her head stuffed with bees and feathers? Tulippaw had stated in no uncertain terms that she wanted to go out alone with Twilightstar and hunt for Badgerpaw! Stupid furball! Her eyes narrowed, and she meowed with great offense, "Excuse me! It's clear you don't care about me at all! Did you not hear a word I said? I wanted to go out with Twilightstar to hunt and get a gift for Badgerpaw as an apology for my egregious actions! Does that mean nothing to you? It's difficult for a she-cat as lovely and perfect as me to admit I made a mistake. Yet you are trying to make this all about yourself. Where is your mentor? Have they been neglecting you? Of course, I could teach you how to hunt, but I won't unless you apologize for your blatant disrespect." That was a fair deal, wasn't it? Tulippaw briefly worried that she may have been too harsh because of the expectations set by her society, but to her, it was a fair judgment. I'll apologize for it if anyone gets upset. But really, it's as valid as valid can be.
