Driftpaw bumped his shoulder into Fawnpaw teasingly. "Maybe, but Moonmoon was a better choice for depurty!" He mewed, smiling at the apprentice.

Re: WindClan Territory
Snowypaw
A small mreowr of surprise escaped Snowypaw as Stonecrackle agreed to his second suggestion. For a moment he wondered if the warrior was not worried about the dangers that came from hunting around Swooping Cliffs, it having claimed two lives just a few moons ago. The warrior showed no sign of fear or trepidation, however, giving Snowypaw a small sense of security in turn. With the Maine Coon's larger size, the patched apprentice doubted Stonecrackle had much of a chance of being swept away by the rampaging winds of the cliffs. And despite his large size, he'd never seen the gray warrior be clumsy or slow in any way. He'd no doubt have full mastery of the cliffs.
Admiration clear in Snowypaw's eyes as he came to the conclusion that Stonecrackle must simply be leagues above him in skill and strength, the large apprentice felt the mane around his neck fluff up with anticipation. He would have to step up his game if he wanted to keep up with such a warrior. The last thing the gentle giant wanted was for Stonecrackle to get hurt - or worse - due to his own ineptitude. He would work extra hard to ensure a successful hunt! Besides, he hadn't had many accidents as of late, and he'd always been fortunate in his visits to Swooping Cliffs with Deadmoon before. There was no reason for any harm to come out of this excursion either.
Shaking himself lightly, Snowypaw nodded, keeping his usual, respecful distance from the warrior. Despite the patched tom knowing the path to Swooping Cliffs well, he preferred to give the lead to more experienced cats. He believed their seniority gave them a better lay of the land, along with more knowledge on what to expect. This was the apprentice's first leaf-fall, and he wasn't certain of what changes the seasons brought to the moors and their surroundings along with them. Massive paws padded behind the larger gray, a slight pep in their step as they followed without complaint.

Stonecrackle paddled onwards "as long as we don't go to close to the edge we'll be fine, besides, we're large cats and no wind can claim use" the tom meowed "i find the cliffs are a great place for bird and moles" he rumbled with a purr

Re: WindClan Breezerock
Leechscar padded into the clan meeting and took a seat further in the back of the gathered cats. His green eyes briefly lifted to peer at his mother and check to see if she was under any duress that he could help with, but it seemed she was already. A little troubled by something, but nothing overly stressful. Twilightstar has always been good at masking her troubles though. Perhaps he'd see if she wanted to go hunting later, if he was lucky maybe he could get her to convince Dreamlight to come along.
His sister's been avoiding him like the plague, he was starting to seriously worry about her. As far as he knew she wasn't particularly close to any of the cats in the clan. Even though they preached about all this unity and teamwork and whatnot, Leechscar was dead certain that no one would give a dung if Dreamlight up and died or worse got sick. No one save Twistedkit perhaps would notice her absence, and quite frankly it was really sad. There were so many self-absorbed cats, but it's not like Leechscar wasn't one himself.
"Wait! What?" The young tom hissed softly to himself and perked his ears as he heard Wolffang's name called out by his mother. He had no clue who Coldsong was, but Wolffang.... fur bristled, the large warrior rose and made a swift departure to the warriors' den, a turmoil of emotions. He could still hear his mother's words from within, but he wasn't sitting idle while that guy was around.

Re: WindClan Territory
Snowypaw
Eagerly following after the large gray tom, Snowypaw kept his ears and nose on his surroundings while his eyes stayed focused on Stonecrackle. Approaching the area surrounding the cliffs, Snowypaw couldn't help but wrinkle his nose. Whenever he had come here with Deadmoon, there seemed to be very small hints of cat activity nearby, all scents usually at least a couple of days old, if not more. Deadmoon had explained that this was due to the precarious nature of the cliffs, and how one had to keep a sharper eye here than in other parts of the moor. Teasing about how it wasn't the best place to hunt for the lazier warrior. And yet...
Pausing momentarily and taking a whiff of the area, Snowypaw couldn't help but feel that there was more cat scent here than he was accustomed to. And not all WindClan, if his nose was to be trusted. Yet... it did not feel like any of the other clans' scents either. A frown crossed the tom before he pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He had been overthinking too many things lately. This was no doubt yet another instance of him seeing - or smelling - more than there was before him.
Turning his attention back to the massive warrior, he took a few hurried steps, catching up to Stonecrackle's long strides with ease, his own large size having its perks when going out to the grasslands with a warrior of such enormous height. Ears perked up with interest at the mention of moles. Having kept to mostly rabbits and smaller rodents, Snowypaw had not seen these creatures in the moors. His eyes on his companion, Snowypaw tilted his head to the side, silently questioning about this creature. He'd hate to miss one due to his lack of information on how to properly hunt these moles Stonecrackle spoke of.

(it's fine)
Stonecrackle sniffed the ground before leaping into the air with a great leap of fluff to land front paws first into a little hole and digging up the ground quickly to pull out a Mole from the ground and drop it to his side... he went on digging through the mole hole for a bit before pausing to sniff the air, something smelled off.... the it hit him and his hackles rose "Killico!" he hissed under his breath before shaking the stiffness off his shoulders... "Moles are the funnest things to Hunt! all you need is good ears and sharp claws to dig them up"

Re: WindClan Territory
Snowypaw
Taken by surprise at Stonecrackle's sudden leap, Snowypaw followed with a leap of his own, his hackles raised as his startled gaze turned this way and that, looking to see what had provoked the warrior's change. The ground almost seeming to tremble at the mighty gray cat's landing, confusion slowly replaced Snowypaw's shock, his ears perked up with bewilderment as Stonecrackle began digging, of all things. Opening his mouth to ask what was going on, his befuddlement getting in the way of his usual preference to simply stay quiet, knowing he wasn't really owed any explanations, the warrior stopped him before he even started, pulling a dark gray... something from the hole he had been digging at. Whiskers pursed with curiosity, the tom padded forward to stare at the odd creature, his consternation so that he missed the warrior's hiss, his focus entirely on the prey before him. Is this a mole?
As he pawed at the critter with interest, he noted the strange, shrew like nose on the squat, plump, almost rabbit like body. It seemed to lack eyes - although at a closer glance, it seemed to simply have very small ones instead - and its paws were oddly huge for such a small thing. Splayed and with thick, long claws, Snowypaw had to wonder how these creatures even got around. As he was contemplating on this new prey, Stonecrackle's rumble of a voice broke through his thoughts. Looking back up from the now confirmed mole, Snowypaw purred in amusement. Did hunting involve jumping in the air and digging them out? It seemed rather unorthodox to be sure, but definitely fun.
"Was that what you were doing? Before. When you leaped," Snowypaw asked with open interest. He'd never seen a creature like this before. If they were mostly found around the cliffs, that would explain why they weren't as common in the prey pile as some of the other critters that inhabited the moor.

Stonecrackle was still slightly on edge but turned to the apprentice "oh the jumping thing? it's something i've seen Foxes do in the winter, they use their ears to detect where the snow burrowed prey is living then pounce, but i find its a fun little way to hunt moles, thhey are tricky little buggers indeed"
