The colossal tom had been sitting far back as to not get in anyone's way. He knew he had a way to do so no matter how much he hunched. It was one of the disadvantages of his size, really, among the many others afforded from it. He'd soon found out after returning to WindClan that even with his memory as it had been at the beginning it was clear that a smaller, lither build was more efficient in this prairie. Especially for hunting. Thankfully, the tom had some stealth to him and an efficient crouching technique. He shuddered to think what his hunting outings would be like otherwise.

Snowybreeze had stayed behind during the battle. He'd felt someone had to keep the clan safe. Of course, he wasn't the only one. Plenty of other cats had stood guard as well. This fact didn't help his guilt as it bubbled forth, his ears flattening as he heard the name of their fallen clanmate. He didn't know the name, couldn't tie a face to the name, and that made him feel all the worse. Would he remember them all in time? Would he stop hearing names of dead WindClanners as nothing more than strangers? He hoped so. As sorrowful as it would be to personally know the cats who passed on, the gentle giant believed they deserved it. To be remembered.

His musings were cut short as he heard his name fall from the leader's maw, mismatched ears perking up as he stared upwards towards her perch in the old maple. Oh! He had a new apprentice? How wonderful! He still felt the sting of the disappearance of his former one. His one comfort was the fact that Milknose had at least reached warriorhood, and perhaps had simply decided clan life was not for him. His time with the kittypet Alby had taught him that some cats simply weren't built for this life. Nothing wrong with it, of course, although if that had been the case, he only wished his former apprentice would have been confident enough in his decision to warn him about it. Let him know so he would not worry. Hopefully he would do better with this Crookedpaw! Let him know that he could count on him! If... only he could find him.

Snowybreeze blinked as he let his gaze traverse the crowd, realizing that while the name was perfectly familiar - meaning he obviously knew the tom - he was having a hard time placing a face to the name once again. Perhaps their paths hadn't crossed since he'd returned to WindClan? There were many a cat, after all... and annoying poor apprentices while they were getting on with their busy day of training was just too rude for him to do, so he supposed it made sense. It wasn't until his eyes landed on a familiar, bushy tail that he recognized the dark brown tabby as Crookedpaw. Massive paws stomped on the ground with glee as he debated on how to best approach the apprentice - who seemed to... not have reacted to the news - when the leader began speaking once more. Hmm, this would have to wait until after the meeting.

It was a good thing that the patched warrior had decided to stay put. Otherwise, he would have interrupted a new warrior's ceremony, eep! This was... quite the old apprentice, however. Older than him, it seemed, by at least a few moons. Tilting his head curiously, he wondered if something had happened to deny this molly her ceremony, but put the thought away in an instant. He was certain she had her reasons, and if Twilightstar was giving her a warrior ceremony, then she was obviously ready now!

"Tigermist," the tom mewed softly, his voice barely above a whisper as he tried to not speak over anyone else. A new warrior and a new apprentice all in one meeting! It seemed that even with the battle against RiverClan lost, WindClan was moving towards a better, more secure future all the same.
