Dawning hit her suddenly as the elder mentioned battle training. Oh yes, she had to learn how to fight real good so she could be even more help for her clan and her family and she could go show MooMoo how much she knew! He wouldn't be able to pretend hurt anymore, no no, she was going to get him good!

Shadefrost had awoken early as he tended to do occasionally, though it was starting to become more frequent due to his long outings in the territory. Yes. Unfortunately he hadn't been getting the best of rest. But all in all it wasn't so bad, at least he was alive right. Anyway the tom padded into the retched nursery, three mice tails grasped in his jaw as the fresh kill dangled like vines. He stopped, unsure of where to go in order to avoid any of the annoying rascals here, then he took a single step forward and set the prey to the floor. "Hey Nightshiver," he called a little grumpily, "I have something for you guys."

Albatrosskit looked around, taking in how everything looked. He scratched at the ground, not making much of a difference in the dirt.
Stormpaw yawned his way into the nursery to visit Rosekit, who was……..not here, huh well time to dunk on some kits then, Stormpaw made his way over to the one called Albatrosskit he knew this because he liked to keep tabs on cats like him and sitting alone scratching at dirt PERFECTION
Stormpaw was bigger than the kit though wasn’t as tall as others around his age, “Hey kid, ever heard of Rosekit” he said in his sarcastic sounding accent down to the kit as a opener

"I don't, I'm sorry..." Albatrosskit said, staring down at his paws. He felt disappointed in himself that he didn't know the cat that Stormpaw was looking for. "I can look for them if you want!" Albatrosskit suggested as he stopped scratching at the dirt.

A twittering call piqued the large kit's attention. Her tufted grey ears perked and she rose from her nest, stopping at the entrance as she peered out and caught sight of a small, white-chest sparrow. Her head cocked and she felt the corners of her mouth turning up in a slight smile. It was the very same little sparrow she'd seen a few times before, she was sure of it. Its white chest was unmistakable and the way it cocked its head back at her. She giggled, finding that she was beginning to really enjoy seeing the little bird. The tip of her tongue poked out and she dropped down into the crouch she'd been practicing since her lesson with Miss Branch. Putting one paw in front of the other, she pounced, coming up short and sending the little bird flapping easily out of the way and landing a taillength further. The kit's face twisted again in a look of playful determination. She crouched and pounced again. This time, as she came up short, she throw a sheathed paw out and was able to bat at the bird's feathery white chest as it flapped back again, this time sloppily. Instead of landing further away it flew up, diving down as though it were going to land on the kit's head. She sat back and swept up at it with playful paws, missing the fragile bird, and the sparrow fluttered confidently up into the sky, rising up out of the danger of the cat-filled camp. She sat down, purring, as she watched the sparrow disappear once more. The appearances of her new bird friend, she found, was increasingly leaving her in a better mood. Sighing contentedly, she turned and slipped back into the entrance of the nursery.

Skybranch said you're supposed to have your legs straight under you. Once you've fized you stance try pretending the moss is a mouse and pouncing on it. She was amused that she had copied her awkward stance but not really surprised. After all she was a kit. She had no way to know better. @Ravensong
