It wasn't his intention to make the young one upset. Just watching him back away has Yarrowcrest's ears pressing guiltily against his head. Ever so carefully he creeps forward and offers the kit a well-meaning lick to the top of his head. Why did he have to be so skittish? More often than not it just caused him problems instead of making him more alert and aware of his surroundings...

"Sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset. You didn't do anything, promise."

Safely back to where the young kit should be, he sits back down and stares down at her, head cocked to a side.

Dogkit meowed I woke up and was bored. She didn't mention the fact that Mo-Rainclaw had thrown her outside this early. She had decided she had to leave, as if she played in the nursery she would sprobably had just gotten thrown out, as Rainclaww was a lighht sleeper, andd Dogkit kew thatt Rainclaw would throw her outide if Mo-Rainclaw woke up. She also didn't mention that her nest, which she had made herself looked more like a lump of moss then a nest, and that her back was sore because of tht, thought she hadn't linked the two things together.

The tom leans forward to offer the kit a well-natured lick to the top of the head. It was a good thing that he caught the little one when he did. If she wandered too much further away who knows what could have happened...

Dogkit welcomed the lick. She meowed right....... Yeah! I would love to play! Though this wasn't the first time she had been outside this early, it was the first time it wasn't because Mo-Rainclaw had thrown her out, as she had left before she did.

It had been some time since he let himself unwind and play with the kits. Only having been a warrior for a few moons he had been busy adjusting to his new duties. It was nice to take it easy every once in a while, though...

That was quite the game... Even just thinking of a fox was enough to put him on edge but he had to put on a strong face for the small kit. Swallowing his fear he offers a nod and gets to his paws, tail lashing slowly from side to side.

"A fox, huh... I think I could do that... Okay, I'm a fox now! Grrr...!"

Was that believable enough?

Though he knew what sounds a fox made, he knew it was near impossible for him to replicate them. Because, y'know, he wasn't actually a fox. But he could definitely play the part as best he could.

When the kit jumps onto him, he rolls, careful not to crush her under his weight. He nips at one of her paws, gently latching on and shaking his head as if he was going to try and bite it off!
